I haven't heard a single bad thing about the food at Phoenix 👍

P.s: just sent you a DM 😍

Man, it’ll probably turn out fine—anyway, we aren't even paying him until Monday after the game🤣🤣🤣

Hopefully you guys have heard of them and think they're pretty solid
I know Ivica Lisjak is top-tier, and so is Viva Band
If they’re willing to travel outside of Los Angeles to perform anywhere, why wouldn't they head out to San Diego too?

And you've got your son there... honestly, can't beat that choice. 😍

There's always someone complaining about something... I've heard people say stuff like: "Ugh, this food is terrible—there was way too much mayo in the French cuisine."😂

Has anyone visited the Phoenix Hall in a town like Austin, and what were your impressions?

Anonymous said:Help!!! I desperately need some recommendations. I haven’t been able to book a band for my wedding in San Diego yet. I’m having such a hard time tracking down contact info, and honestly, I have no idea which groups are actually any good. I would be so incredibly grateful if someone could point me in the right direction!🙏 🙏🙏

Check out this website http://www.vjencanja-zadar.com/glazba.htm—it has a pretty big list of bands located in San Diego.
There’s also tons of other useful stuff on there too...

If you want to check out their info or see what the band is all about, just head over to www.zadarska-vjencanja.com

Wait, quick correction... I actually have the band's updated numbers on this page instead:

Thanks, everyone. I’ve scrolled through the site, but I’m really looking for some firsthand accounts—specifically about the bands, photographers, and the venues.
I ask because my cousin had a total nightmare at a wedding in Chicago; the photographer spent half the night eating, and whenever they asked if he’d caught anything, he’d just shrug and say, "You didn't tell me to." To top it off, the band played every single song twice. She and her husband were absolutely livid.

Can anyone recommend a decent hall in San Francisco for about 120–130 people? I need a space with a dance floor that isn't cramped and offers round tables.

I find myself wondering, quite frankly, whether anyone else has stumbled upon this particular video and felt that same peculiar sense of disorientation I did.

That specific guest count is a headache.🙂 I dealt with the same thing once and just bumped my list up by 30... A place like the Rose Bowl has three different halls and should check all your boxes... Maybe a Pirate themed spot, but if you're looking at a Saturday wedding there, they’ll charge you a minimum for 150 guests regardless of how many actually show up... That's just how things work in San Francisco... Finding anything else is going to be a struggle...

It really depends on what dates you're looking at in San Francisco; most restaurants there are booked up a year in advance. You can find the details on the Diocletian restaurant subpage. That’s my response to restlesstiger71. And crimsoncyclist14, what exactly are you trying to accomplish with these posts?

What do you guys think? Do I have any shot at finding a venue in San Diego for 200–250 people—including the band and photographer—with only nine months left until September 2009? Or should I just push everything back to May or June 2010?
It all feels so far away. You make this huge decision and then you're stuck waiting for a year and a half.🙂

It really all comes down to what the dining scene looks like in San Diego. In San Francisco, they've opened up so many new spots lately that you can barely find a table anywhere. Honestly, your best bet is to book something for November—the weather is still gorgeous, and you actually have a decent chance of getting your pick of the restaurants.

I know the 11th and 12th are wide open, but I'd personally stick to the summer months. Less chance of rain or wind, longer days, and all that.

The Old Sailor is my top choice so far. If it starts raining, I can just move everything inside, which is a huge plus for me. Plus, the food there is incredible. I checked out the arcade earlier, but even though they claim it holds 120–130 people, it felt pretty empty to me. I was thinking about grabbing some BBQ ribs, but the prices jumped up so much I decided against it. Everyone keeps recommending Hotel Honey or some spot in San Diego near a Target, but I don’t even know the name or where it's located, so I'm stuck. I'm also debating whether it's actually wise to drive home drunk from San Diego.

Slanica raised their prices??? Give me a break...

Look, that place in Savannah under the Walmart is Bellevue. You also have the Castello room—smaller, better for your group size—plus you've got Ino and Mammoth... all in the San Francisco Bay Area area.
San Diego options: NIRS near Bilica, the Officers' Club in Lori, Pirate, and Kokolo.
Dugopolje: Sun, Phoenix, Dolis.
TTTS: Imenjak, and there's a new one opening up, but I can't remember the name.
Along Omiš Road, you've got: Amigos, Diocletian, and Anthony.

I hope I didn't miss anything.

As for those drunks at the Pirate house... I had a wedding at Slanica once, and I had the same concern. But look, you can find a drunk idiot anywhere in San Diego. 🤷 Besides, anything can happen anywhere. If we lived by that logic, we'd never go anywhere at all.
