As far as invitations go, I'd say they're great—fast, professional, and affordable. Plus, they look exactly like the previews on the website at Megatrend Invitations.

If anyone is struggling with organization, I might have some free time to spare, so I could perhaps send over a few tips and contacts.

Hey everyone, does anyone have a recommendation for renting a classic car for a wedding at a reasonable price?

Hey, can anyone help me out? Where in San Francisco can I actually find invitations that don't look like they crawled straight out of a 1990s basement? :-D I am absolutely obsessed with those laser-cut lace designs, but man, they are pricey—easily over $6.00... We stopped by Tim at the joker shop to take a look, and honestly, about 90% of what they had was just hideous and outdated. Or am I better off just ordering something online from a site like Angelus art or one of those big wedding specialty sites?

David Torres67 said:Has anyone here actually used the website invitations.com? I found a few designs I really love, but the prices are so low it’s making me a little suspicious 😬

Also, has anyone ordered a wedding cake out in the suburbs? If you have, are the prices pretty standard or do they charge a huge premium for being out there?

Have you checked out Lumen Shop on Facebook? I placed an order there for $1.25

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows of someone with a larger lavender farm 🙂 or maybe someone selling bulk lavender? We’re looking to incorporate it into a wedding theme... I know how quickly it can crumble, and I've been testing it out for a few days now—it seems like it'll hold up just fine for a week if we set it in some light foam 🙂 so if you have any leads on where to buy, please let me know! Thanks
Also, does anyone have a rough idea of how much we’d actually need? That’s the part that’s really stressing me out 🤔
lavender, wheat accents for about 200 guests, some small arrangements for the centerpieces, plus a few sprigs for my bouquet and hair 🙂) 🙂 🙂

Has anyone else had trouble getting a hold of InvitationDesign.com? For some reason, they aren't responding to my emails, Facebook messages, or Instagram DMs. Has anyone dealt with them lately?

How much cake should I actually get if I'm catering for 200 people—especially since there’s going to be a massive spread of other desserts and pastries on the table too? Also, what’s the current price range looking like, and does anyone have any solid recommendations?

I ordered from a bakery in my neighborhood for $467 across three tiers; I didn't even bother calculating the exact amount needed because we ended up with an absolute surplus. The flavor was excellent, though the decoration was just okay. If aesthetics are your priority, Zenit, San Francisco Cakes, and a few others do fantastic work, though you'll pay a premium for it. Even compared to standard bakeries, you're looking at prices upwards of $1,300. We had 185 guests, and as it turned out, there was more than enough cake to go around, just like all the other treats.😉

Would anyone recommend a good spot in California where we could set up a wedding tent? Also, does anyone have an idea of what a rental like that might cost?

Just wanted to share my experience using invitationdesigners.com.
Four weeks ago, I left a comment on an Instagram photo asking if I could get a sample of one of their invitations. They got back to me that very same day, saying sure thing—just email over my address. So, I sent off the email with my shipping info and the specific invite code I was looking for.
I’ve been waiting for days—nothing, no response, no mail. A week goes by, I try reaching out on Instagram, crickets. Another week passes, I send a message on Facebook, and still, nothing. Eventually, I got fed up and decided to just call them myself to explain that I’ve been left hanging for weeks. And let me tell you, the lady on the other end was incredibly rude from the very first second. Instead of actually listening to my problem, she just kept talking over me in this condescending tone. She started making all these excuses about how they’re "just too busy," claiming they sent everything, insisting they reply to everyone, or blaming me by saying I must have missed their email in my spam folder. She even tried to claim the invitation got lost in the mail and suggested I should just pay for the shipping myself. It was just constant excuses. I had to stand my ground and tell her straight up that I check my spam folder every single day and haven't even touched my email since yesterday. I told her to stop making excuses, actually look for my message, and get back to me.
A few hours later, I get an email saying they’re sending me *another* invitation—picture attached. It’s an invite I never even asked for. Apparently, reading my two-sentence email was just too much work for them. I fired back immediately letting them know I didn't request this, but once again, total silence. No one responds.
I called them back after a few days, and she’s back at it again. I told her straight up: her last email was just some random picture of an invitation that I didn't even ask for, and once again, I haven't received a single actual answer. Honestly, if this is just some incompetent postal service issue, I don't care—I really don't mind paying an extra $20 or whatever it takes to get this sorted out. $17 If necessary. Once again, she just won't listen to a word I say. She starts raising her voice at me, insisting she hasn't seen any payment come through and claiming she doesn't owe me anything. Then she tells me they’re slammed with work and suggests I go somewhere else to find my invitations. I tried to play it cool and de-escalate things, telling her that I really just want those invitations and asking for an account number so I can settle the bill immediately—nothing's too much trouble on my end. She promised she'd send over a quote within half an hour. Well, okay then. Still nothing.
Next week is going to be a total disaster. I just want those damn invitations already—I haven’t been able to find them anywhere else, and I am honestly done searching. I don't even need that stupid pattern anymore; I'm just going to toss it. $167 So, here’s the plan. I’m going to send another email to clear the air. Even with the misunderstandings we've had, I want to let them know I’m still serious about ordering this specific amount of invitations. I'll ask them to shoot over the proofs and a formal quote. Once that email goes out, everything should run smoothly—I'm expecting to have those invitations in my hands within two days.
I sent my last email to say thanks, but once again, I haven't heard a single word back.

Bottom line: the invitations themselves are perfectly fine for what I paid. But their customer service? Absolute rock bottom. I don't think it’s asking too much for a potential client to ask if they can order a sample first—it's standard practice. It’s their call to say yes or no, simple as that. I wasn't expecting them to act like I was being ridiculous just because they said yes. Their website is plastered with all this fluff about how much they value customer feedback and how they’re always open to suggestions, blah blah blah... yet they can't even admit they might have missed an email or failed to reply. Total hypocrisy.

It took them maybe two days to prep, print, and ship those invitations all the way across the country, yet I spent nearly an entire month stressed out over the whole thing. If you actually like their work, my advice is to just place your order immediately—that’s probably the only way they’ll actually respond to you. As for anything else you might want to ask? Well, the lady told me straight up that I was better off looking somewhere else. 🙄

David Torres67,
I am truly sorry you had to deal with such an experience. Honestly, I haven’t run into any issues with them myself—I suppose I just got luckier than you did.
I completely get why you're so heated; nothing gets under my skin quite like sheer unprofessionalism. But look, the important thing is that you finally got those invitations sorted out. Don't let it ruin your mood. :-)

I can’t recommend our photographer from San Diego, Tonio Filipović, enough! 🎉 We are absolutely thrilled with how the photos turned out—we were really hunting for something unique, something that broke away from those typical, honestly boring wedding clichés... We couldn't be happier.🎉

Yeah, honestly, the main thing is that I finally got my hands on the invitations and I'm happy with how they turned out. I just felt like I had to share the story; maybe someone else can avoid the nightmare I went through. 😬

New question: do I need to present official documents during the pre-marital counseling course? My fiancé is stuck out at sea right now and there's zero chance he'll make it back in time for any of the scheduled sessions. Is it possible to bring a proxy or a stand-in instead? 😵

My neighbor totally skipped out on one of her notary training sessions, so she just ended up playing the part of the groom's sister instead.

I guess they aren't exactly showing you the paperwork or anything...
Unless anyone else out there has had a different experience 🤔

When we took our course in San Francisco, they didn't ask us to show any paperwork at all.

It seems like you're jumping from one parish to another, but I suppose it shouldn't be much of an issue...

If you’re looking to avoid being tortured, I’d suggest staying far away from Major Banic.
