Hey, does anyone have any experience with
-MAC Cosmetics
-or Miss Mare makeup?
Also, if you could recommend an affordable caterer that serves classic American comfort food, let me know.
Thanks 🙂

Has anyone actually been to the Dolce & Gabbana bakery? I'm wondering if their cakes are worth the hype and what the damage to my wallet is going to be.

The cakes and pies are
And I guess the prices are pretty decent too... you can probably just check their website

They’re super helpful and really go the extra mile,
you can pretty much negotiate anything with them. Prices seem pretty standard, too—like, a wedding cake for maybe 100 people would run you around $1000. Sadly, that’s just the ballpark figure
.

Actually, I’m more curious about how they price their pastries by the pound rather than just looking at a whole cake. Like, does anyone happen to know the deal on that?

Just shoot them a message on Facebook; they’re actually pretty quick at getting back to you, I guess.

Yeah, but they’re being super shady about their pricing. I actually have to go see them in person to get a quote (which isn't exactly convenient since I don't live in St.).. that's why I'm asking here—has anyone actually ordered from them before and knows what the damage is gonna be?

We ended up going with them... we did a cake for 80 people that was around $2300 (I'm not 100% sure, I'd need to dig through my paperwork), plus some single servings, mini bites, and 10 extra cakes. They mentioned they don't really do those "dry" pastries, if that makes sense. I think the weight was roughly $33... but honestly, you could check out what they have at that bakery in San Diego... a pound is about $27... all in all, I was pretty happy with everything and you can find most of their prices on the website

Hi there,
I was wondering if you all might be willing to share some of your own experiences or perhaps some recommendations regarding live music for an event. I’m not really looking for just a solo accordion player; I’d much prefer something with a bit more depth—maybe a group that blends accordion with guitar, upright bass, or something along those lines...
Do you have any specific bands or ensembles you'd suggest? Also, if you could give me a heads-up on how pricing typically works for a setup like that, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

They actually organized their pricing quite well... it's roughly $110 per person regardless of whether it's an accordion, guitar, mandolin, or a folk group...

Thanks for the heads-up.

Honestly, I’d highly recommend checking out the band Versace. We actually tried to book them for our own thing, but they were already booked up (not sure what your timeline looks like), but seriously—they’re just these great, high-energy guys. Every single party I’ve been to where they played, they absolutely killed it!!!

Thanks for the tip! 👍I actually just listened to a few of their tracks and they sound really solid. I'm definitely keeping them on my shortlist.

They're just young guys with tons of energy, and honestly, they haven't let me down at any wedding I've hired them for so far...
Unfortunately, I don't have their info anymore because I deleted it when they weren't available for our date, but you should be able to track them down online easily enough...

Unfortunately, we made a last-minute call to go with catering before the wedding
and it turns out everyone we reached out to is already booked up...
does anyone have recommendations for an affordable catering service in San Francisco?
Thanks a bunch

Pimpinell offers the best value if you ask me—Pirate is reliable quality, while St-Spiza is easily the most budget-friendly option near the Rose Bowl.

Thanks a ton for all those recommendations!
I'll definitely reach out to them...
if anyone else thinks of something, feel free to drop a note 🎉

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone here has spent any time at Zara Beach in San Francisco... I'm trying to get a feel for things like their guest capacity, the quality of the food, how they handle pre-wedding receptions, pricing, and all that sort of thing.
Also, if anyone has worked with Studio Bonacic before, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what that experience was like...🙂
