The brittle was from Whole Foods—it felt like a scene out of a cartoon with a donkey and a mare in wedding attire—and there were also a few small treats, though about ninety percent of those were made by my mother and our relatives beforehand... and all I can say is, simply wonderful!!!

Man, it's about time you told us who's playing your tunes! 🙂

Despite everything they put me through—which, honestly, probably shaved at least five years off my life expectancy... the performance at the party was absolutely flawless! The energy was incredible, everyone was raving about them, and they truly have a knack for setting the right mood... I suppose I should give them credit where it's due, because I don't regret hiring them for that one reason at all.
By the way, the band is total garbage.

So, what does a cake like that actually run them? I was thinking about asking if they could recreate Times Square for me, though I have no clue if they even do stuff like that...
And how did you pull off the whole dessert situation—having your family bake everything? Do they actually need some kind of official certification or something? How many of their pastries did you end up grabbing, and what's the damage on the price tag? Thanks!🙂

Does anyone here actually know anything about The Three Tenors—or some group like that? I’ve had people raving about them lately, claiming they're absolutely incredible, but I'd love to get some actual opinions from you all before I commit.

Hey, I have a question for anyone who’s been to a wedding where The Beatles played.
I ended up booking them, and once we picked a date, I didn't even bother calling other bands because I already knew they were the ones. I've seen them live several times and they're incredible. One thing though—when I spoke to them, they mentioned they usually wrap things up by 4 AM. Is that going to be an issue? They told me if the party is absolutely wild, they won't stop, but if the dance floor clears out, they'll call it a night. Basically, they're flexible on when they start, but they aim to finish by 4. If I get everything set up at the venue around 8 or 9 PM, is that enough time before 4? How late does the music usually go?
For those of you who have been to weddings with The Beatles, what was the vibe like? I went to one a few years back, and the music was amazing, but unfortunately, I got sick and had to leave early, so I never saw how late they played. Thanks!

Sophia Gray2 I think stopping at 4 is fine, but honestly, try to talk them into staying for another thirty minutes just to be safe. It won't hurt.😉
I went to a party back in October where The Beatles were playing, and you seriously won't regret it. They played everything from international hits to local favorites and kept the energy incredible. Don't stress about the music side of things.😉
Anyway, try to squeeze out that extra half hour. If they promised to stick around if the vibe stays good, then go for it.😉

I think Snow White had them once, and honestly, I've never heard a single bad thing about them...

Sophia Gray2... listen, I was at that party where The Beach Boys were playing, so don't sweat the fact that they'll be jamming until 4 AM. To be real with you, half the guests will have cleared out by then anyway (unless you count the immediate family).
The Beach Boys create such an awesome vibe, though I don't get why they wouldn't play if there are only a few people left on the dance floor...?

Thanks so much, ladies. He told me that if there are only three drunks left on the stage acting like idiots, then things will stay put. That’s how they decided, and I can't really argue with that. That's just their rules. Look, I know they're great and all, but I was honestly a little worried about being stuck there from 9 to 4. Thanks again, everyone. You guys are the best! Love ya!

Hey,

I had them for my gig back in October... and they played until 4:30 AM. They gave me the exact same line as you... they won't play for three drunk idiots. And frankly, I think that's fair. It isn't easy for them either; they have to pack everything up and tear down the gear. There were people staying in the hall long after we finished. Only about ten of us were dancing by then, but everything was perfect, just perfect. To be honest, the crowd usually thins out by about 75% by that point.
The vibe was awesome, and they did exactly what they promised... I didn't have a single complaint! Don't sweat it. If you're more than just some random guest at the party, you'll stay on the floor... and they'll keep playing for you. Either way, that day is going to fly by!
P.S. Mine went from 9:00 until 4:30 too. 😍

Hey there!!
It’s my first time posting here, but since my turn has finally come up, I could really use some pointers from you guys...
I've got a huge party coming up this October in San Francisco, and honestly, I’m starting from scratch!! We’re looking at about 300 guests... so if anyone could lend a hand, I'd be so grateful...
Can anyone hook me up with some contact info for local bands, venues, or photographers?? Thanks...

Welcome to the club!

I can definitely point you toward some killer bands—here are my top picks: Verizon, The Beatles, Major League Baseball, Orange, Barclays (which is actually my band!), Boombox, Pink Floyd, 100s, Flash Entertainment.....
I'll shoot most of those numbers over to you via PM

As for photographers, check out John Doe or Ivica Lisjak http://www.ivicalisjak.com/
Or Studio in (I use them myself) http://www.weddingstudioin.com/
Sina, Matić.....

For venues... Sunce or Dolis..... (both can easily handle 300 guests)

From what I know, the Phoenix Ballroom is good for a crowd that size—maybe the Holy Cross venue...
I don't think Dolis is 🤷

What about Fabula? Or those Robot Girls????

Yeah, Dolis can handle that crowd.
As for Fabula, I'm not sure, and I doubt the robots either.
But honestly, everything you need is right at the start of the thread—just check the first ten pages.🤷

I was actually at a party with about 210 people, and honestly? I have no clue how they'd squeeze in another 90 folks🤷
unless they completely rethink the whole floor plan🤷

That hall holds 350, but only if you ditch the round tables.😉
