If there wasn't a picture on this poster, you could easily mistake it for an ad for some adult film

I don't know, I'm just hoping it's a fun little flick in the vein of The Shallows or Deep Blue Sea.
But yeah, honestly, I’d much rather see The Rock in this than deal with annoying Statham.

Statham only really has one good movie under his belt, and that’s obviously The Transporter.

Based on the trailer, though, this looks alright. I think I'll give it a shot.

It’s like shark fins on steroids! 🤣

I’m obsessed with dinosaur flicks and shark movies, so I rushed to catch this 😁 in 4DX—my first time ever trying it!
It was absolutely brilliant! I wasn't looking for some deep, complex plot; I just wanted pure entertainment, and man, did I get it! Sure, there’s some silly writing and those super cringey, last-minute hero rescues, but honestly? I didn't mind at all.
The whole experience of watching a movie like this in 3D, combined with the seats shaking and water spraying everywhere... it’s a total blast! I'm actually glad they didn't even offer a 2D version, because I probably would have picked that just to save a few bucks (call me a cheapskate 😬).
Anyway, if you're a fan of shark movies, this one is a total winner! 👍

Is it actually worth watching in 3D?

Honestly, I can't wrap my head around how people fall for this kind of mindless garbage. Like, seriously, if someone actually sat there thinking this was a movie meant for actual enjoyment, I’d have to wonder what's going on in their head.

Every summer, I find myself watching something like this—whether it's Godzilla, Jurassic Park, or last year's IT. 😁

It’s definitely not a masterpiece, but it’s fun enough. I caught it in 3D, which isn't really my thing, though that's more about the format than the movie itself. As for 4D? It feels like someone is constantly shaking my chair while I'm trying to watch TV at home. But anyway, that's beside the point. 😁

It was a pretty solid film. I actually liked the shark; it looks powerful and genuinely intimidating. That said, the plot could have used a bit more creativity to really stand out.
My favorite part had to be the sequence on the beach.🙏

Absolute trash. Look, I don't even have a high tolerance for this kind of "junk" cinema—I honestly only showed up just to have an excuse to eat some popcorn 😁

The acting is painful, the plot is completely hollow, and of course, we get the same old cliché of a shark circling and snapping its jaws before the attack... everything is so ridiculously stupid I don't even know where to start listing the flaws xD

Compared to this, The Reef is a total masterpiece
Deep Blue Sea is basically Shakespearean
Jaws deserves like 3 Oscar nominations compared to this garbage

Skip it. Avoid it like the plague!

Rating: 3/10 (the popcorn was good and the theater wasn't crowded, so that's two extra points right there)

Well, then.

People actually want a decent movie—or at least a halfway decent one—about this kind of stuff.

It's easy to just churn out trash. That's the lazy way to do it.

So I watched the flick yesterday, and honestly, it was just okay—a solid way to kill two hours if you're bored like I was. If you don't go in expecting anything mind-blowing, it'll be fine!

SPOILER ALERT:

That scene with the walking on water ball actually killed me. Literally died laughing. Best part of the whole movie!

I’m all for watching movies like this—really, I am—but what keeps bugging me about this one is just how painfully obvious it is that the whole thing was engineered specifically to cash in on the Chinese coast.

I just saw the Chinese coast poster for this movie, and it features Ruby Rose right next to a bunch of sharks. Online ads are pushing her everywhere as if she’s one of the leads.

But honestly, her role is practically nonexistent. If you edited all her scenes together, you'd barely have two minutes of footage. She says maybe a couple of short lines—hardly even full sentences. So why is the marketing department working so hard to hype up her involvement?
What's the deal here? What are they actually playing at?

I don't know, I think Jason is alright. I dig his action flicks—not that I follow him religiously or anything, but he’s got a decent face, which makes the movies slightly more tolerable than watching Steven Seagal. But this? I haven't seen it yet, but maybe I'll check it out once it hits streaming. Still, I don't get why he needs this...
