So, here's the deal: I've got this Microsoft card that came with my checking account at JP Morgan Chase. Now, I'm looking to top up my PayPal balance, and it's showing the Microsoft card as one of the payment options.

I was wondering, can I just use this card to send money to PayPal directly, or am I going to have to head down to the bank to open a foreign currency account and get a specific card for that?

I’m not entirely sure what PayPal is all about, but you can definitely take that debit card from your JP Morgan Chase (Microsoft) account and use it for any online transactions where they accept it, or just link it up to PayPal.

It probably won't actually show you a balance; instead, it might just say you have $0, but then once you make a purchase, the funds get pulled straight from your bank account. I think that’s how it works on PayPal, anyway.

What exactly would you even need PayPal for, if you don't mind me asking? 🙂

Thanks for getting back to me so fast!

It's an e-wallet, just PayPal!

Aha, I’ve actually never heard of that before 🙂 honestly. Whatever I’ve ever needed to get done online, PayPal has always been more than enough for me 🙂

Hello,

I just received an email notifying me that the expiration date for my cards linked to PayPal is approaching. To be specific, I'm using my Intel debit and checking accounts over at Chase... should I just head down to a local branch and ask for replacements, or is there a more efficient way to handle this?

Honestly, when your provider sends over a new one, you just swap out the old one for the new one and call it a day. Simple as that.

So, what you're saying is Chase is just going to mail me a new card without me having to actually show up at a branch and beg them for a replacement?

I'm trying to transfer some funds from my checking account over to an Intel account using my mobile banking app. It keeps prompting me for an account number, but it won't let me enter more than 10 digits. The account number listed under my name and surname is 11 digits long, yet there's a larger 16-digit number displayed at the top. Has anyone encountered this before, or does anyone know which one I should be using?

So I was just looking into it, and it looks like there are actually 11 from Chase Bank after all.
That’s the number you see right under the name,

On this specific card, yours shows up as 3230000000

If you’ve got an e-wallet set up, maybe give it a shot there—it might actually let you enter all 11 digits without any issues

So, I’ve hit a bit of a snag. For some reason, I can't seem to transfer my funds to the Virgin Islands using my mobile banking app because it only allows me to enter ten digits. 😢

I honestly have no clue why they’re insisting on using 11 digits—it just seems like such a weird, pointless rule. Maybe try reaching out to them directly to see if there's some logic behind it? Or, I don't know, you could just check with a local branch of JPMorgan Chase and see if their system even allows for an 11-digit entry

That’s honestly pretty ridiculous. Thanks for the help though.

You can't just flip dollars into another currency on a whim, let alone move them to a different bank. You actually have to deal with a currency conversion somewhere along the line.
Account numbers aren't supposed to exceed 10 digits. If you're seeing 11, that’s a glitch on the bank's end—in this case, JPMorgan Chase—so you'll need to check with them to figure out how to process the transfer.

Well, here goes my first post, and I'm starting off on a pretty rough note...

So, I have some Intel stock sitting in my JPMorgan Chase account. This month, I noticed some really strange transactions popping up through my online banking. I acted fast and froze the account, but it looks like a significant amount of money has already been drained, and there are more pending transfers.

Aside from locking everything down, I’ve filed an official report with JPMorgan Chase. I’m wondering if anyone else here has dealt with something similar, and if so, how did it turn out for you?

Honestly, with 3D authentication in place, I'm at a loss as to how anyone could have bypassed the security. To make matters worse, I don't even know my own password—I actually forgot it—so there's no way I wrote it down or shared it with anyone.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I’ve been using a basic JPMorgan Chase account since my college days, specifically their tech sector card. Which package should I upgrade to if I just want to monitor my balance and transaction history online? I don't actually need payment functionality; I simply need visibility into the account activity. My main priority is finding the option with the lowest possible monthly fee. Thanks.

Phone banking is $2.00, whereas mobile or online banking is $2.75. Both phone and internet options come with a $15 enrollment fee, but mobile is free.
