Matthew Foster66 said:Thanks everyone—hopefully I’ll have some luck finding a rental soon!

I’m thinking about renting a tent for maybe 80 people—includes benches and chairs ($333)—out in Appalachia near St. Louis. They've got all sorts of sizes... if you want their number, just let me know.

Help me, please! Does anyone know where I can find Maggie Sotero dresses besides that one shop in Požega? I found the exact dress I want there, but it’s only in white, and since I’m looking for a different color, they have to special order it. And man, once you factor in the custom order, the rental price goes through the roof... honestly, it's like triple what I expected. That's just way too much for me. As far as I know, nobody near St. Louis carries them. If you know any shops around the St. Louis area, please let me know. I heard Atelier St might have them, but I can't find a phone number or email for them anywhere online. Nothing. 😢

There's actually a Lisa in Springfield too that carries Maggie Sotero dresses. 👍

Thanks Maybelline... I know... but it's the exact same person handling things in Pittsburgh too. So one day the dress is in Pittsburgh, next it's in SB, and they only have it in white like I said🙄
Still... thanks for the help... I'm honestly thinking about just getting it tailored if I can't find her anywhere... though god knows how that would look or where I'd even find someone to do it🤷

Henry Ortiz18 said:Greetings! I was wondering if any of the ladies here have tried the pastries from that small town, USA? I can’t quite recall the owner's name, but the bakery is called Catherine. Any thoughts or reviews?
Tnx

I had them at my neighbor's wedding once and they were honestly amazing.
I'm actually getting married on September 4th this year, so I'm planning on getting all the desserts and the wedding cake from them. Honestly, you can't go wrong, and the price is pretty decent too (around $17/lb).. Best bet is just to call the owner and ask if you can grab one of each kind to do a little tasting before you commit. That's what I did.

That’s great! This is exactly the kind of feedback I look for. 🙂
I’ll be looking forward to hearing how everything turns out after September 4th! 🙂 One quick question though: does the bakery provide the health department documentation that restaurants are requiring for desserts these days? And where exactly was this wedding held?

Well, damn, I guess. Fingers crossed you actually manage to find it somewhere
but what kind of wedding is this even going to be?

Yeah, they have that paperwork up there. It lists everything—business name, owner info, all that stuff, plus the ingredients list for the cookies... basically what you'd find in a deli nowadays. They pack them all up pretty nicely in boxes, too. You can actually work something out with her to have them deliver everything straight to the venue if you want.

My relatives are in Lucy's area

where are yours and when?

Also, just a heads up, I had to book my order with her way in advance because she gets slammed. So, if you need the owner's number, just holler and I'll send it over.

We had the exact same thing happen in our town back on October 23, 2010.
Could you please DM me your number? I want to sit down and chat with my mom about this; after all, she’s the real expert when it comes to baking. 😉She’s actually heading over to NYU soon, so it would be easy for her to drop by, especially since I’m stuck working here in New York City.
Thanks a million!

Regards.

Atelier ST in Djakov does carry MS gowns. However, their prices are absolutely absurd. For the gown I ordered through Lisa, the price at Atelier ST would have been nearly double. Furthermore, they only stock large sizes, and their selection of the truly beautiful MS designs is nonexistent. Taste is subjective, but I couldn't find a single dress in that salon worth considering.

I am seeking some assistance regarding an upcoming wedding in Memphis!! I currently reside in Washington, D.C., but since the ceremony will be held in Memphis, I would truly appreciate any suggestions for local venues or bands in that area. I have been scouring the internet, but as you all know, online reviews can be quite unreliable... everyone tends to sing their own praises. I would be very grateful for any personal recommendations or shared experiences you might have. 🙂

So, I could really use some advice from anyone who’s already tied the knot, or maybe even someone getting married this coming Saturday. I rented my wedding dress over in Des Moines, and the shop lady told me to come in for my final fitting just a week before the big day. Apparently, it needs quite a bit of tailoring to fit right. Is waiting until a week before the wedding cutting it a little too close? Or am I just spiraling for no reason...

Hmm, you should probably just ask that over in the Midwest thread instead; you seem pretty obsessed with all those bands. There's more to that area than just music, though—you’ll figure out who the real characters are pretty quickly once you're there.
We actually have a dedicated thread for restaurant recommendations too.
Unfortunately, I'm not from around there myself, but I'm fairly certain someone has already covered this topic before.

Regarding venues, you’ve got the local community center in a suburb like Naperville, the Grand Hyatt in a city like St. Louis, the Marriott out in similar territory, or that big banquet hall over by the state fairgrounds.
That fairground hall is relatively new—I think it opened maybe two or three years ago—and it can hold a massive crowd. Honestly, all I’ve heard about it is praise. People rave about everything from the layout to the food and the service staff.
Not sure if that actually helps, but that’s the extent of my knowledge.

I don't think you're late at all.
I know a few girls who didn't even show up for their last fitting until Monday or Tuesday, then just went to pick up the dress on Thursday. 👍

I had my big day on a Tuesday; I picked up my altered gown on Friday right before the Saturday wedding. You aren't too late, don't panic.

Thanks, ladies. My relatives turn 29 next week and honestly? I’m already starting to freak out... just thinking about what this week is going to be like. This forum really keeps me sane seeing that I'm not the only one going through it...
