I was actually there just a few days ago. The most expensive dress I saw was $1167 and the cheapest one was around $167

If you send me the photo of the dress, I can ask the girl who works at Rachel's who the bride was, and maybe I can track her down. Also, right across from the boardwalk, there’s a local shop where women do that kind of custom needlework. I actually wanted to have them make a dress for my godmother's bridesmaids, but I couldn't do white, so I passed. They quoted me $200 for it. Which, honestly, isn't even that much.

Oh man, thank you so much! But I actually passed on that because I reached out to this seamstress in the Midwest (or maybe Island—I can't quite remember) and she wanted $1667 from me. That felt like way too much money! So, I ended up just sticking with my plans involving The Chinese! 🤣
I had no clue about those shops across from the Promenade. I might have to swing by there though, just to check out their wedding dress accessories!
Seriously, thanks a million for all the info!

At that fair downtown during the harvest festival, there were some people there from the Midwest. I know their last name is Dujmić. They had absolutely phenomenal lace work. I'm certain they do custom orders, but I can't find a single trace of them online. Maybe some girls from the Midwest would know something.
I'll send you something via PM. 🙂

Dear friends, I have a quick question for you all... Does anyone happen to know where in Indianapolis (Memphis, Columbus, or the surrounding areas) I might be able to purchase landscaping fleece by the roll or by the yard? I am looking for the most budget-friendly option.
I did check out a shop in Vicksburg, but they only carry pre-cut strips.
I see that DTP has it listed online, $41 specifically for 20 meters at a width of 0.5 meters—but there is also the matter of the shipping costs, $15. In your opinion, is that a steep price to pay? 🤷
I recall someone mentioning something about landscape fabric earlier in this discussion; I have been scrolling through the thread trying to find that specific advice, but I simply cannot seem to track it down... 🙄

Thank you so much! 😉

Does anyone know where I can grab some bulk poppy seed rolls around Indianapolis (maybe near Memphis or Columbus)?

Maybe try checking out the Free Press in VA? Here's their site if you want to poke around, though I'm guessing they’ll have way more variety in-store... plus, they're probably cheaper than Visa.

We used to pick up fabric at the local outlet mall—it was such a steal back then. It was easily a yard wide, if not more. We’d make these massive bows out of it. I know it was incredibly cheap, though I can't quite recall the exact price point now. But,
I can certainly point you toward the right aisle if you decide to head over there.

You can find tulle at any fabric store; it goes for $6.75 per yard.
I suspect the aisle layout is similar. I’ve purchased both tulle and organza before, and once you account for the width, the coverage ends up being identical.

Hey, sorry to go off-topic for a second, but does anyone know if I can actually find a camo or olive green undershirt somewhere online or in a shop?

I searched for an army-style garter 😁
I am honestly not sure where to look... perhaps try eBay

Thanks for the tip, but I actually stopped by Freehouse about a month ago and they were completely out of tile... It is possible they have restocked since then, so I will certainly give them another look!

I actually have a few other errands to run at the mall anyway, so it wouldn't be out of the question to scout that area out while I'm there. If you find yourself with a moment and feel like sharing, please send me a private message with the name of the shop. 😉
Thanks so much!

Hmm... Honestly, I’m a bit lost on where to even begin. Perhaps somewhere like General Motors or a similar large supplier? I've never actually had a need for this before, so I'm completely out of my element when it comes to knowing where to look for 😕

Actually, I think I saw something similar over at General Motors in the old district. There was something hanging in the window—it had this purple and cream color scheme.
I sent you a DM regarding the corridor.

Across from State Farm, right by those coffee shops, there’s a small shop, then just past the corner...
I can't quite recall the exact streets in Chicago...

A descriptive approach works perfectly fine for me, since I don't actually know their business name either! 👍
Thanks!

I've had enough of this nonsense. It’s time to call it like it is. Everyone keeps acting like everything is fine, but they’re completely blind to what’s actually happening right in front of them. You can't just ignore the facts and expect things to work out. It’s pure delusion. I'm sick of the excuses and I'm sick of the people pretending that everything is under control when it's clearly falling apart. Get real or get out of the way. kaže:
I can't believe I'm even looking at this. Seriously. This photo is a total disaster. It’s like someone took a camera, tripped over a curb in downtown Chicago, and just decided, "Yeah, this is fine. Let's publish this." The composition? Nonexistent. The lighting? Absolute garbage. It looks like it was taken through a greasy window during a thunderstorm in Seattle. There is zero focus, zero intent, and honestly, zero talent on display here. It’s just a messy, blurry shot that tells me absolutely nothing. People spend thousands on gear just to produce something this mediocre. It’s frustrating to see. Just plain frustrating.

I can't believe I'm even looking at this. Seriously. Who actually spends their time scrolling through junk like this? It’s a wedding garter. A single, overpriced little piece of lace from some random site that probably won't even show up before the big day. Look at the design. It’s basic. It’s cliché. It’s exactly the kind of stuff people buy when they have zero original ideas and just want to follow some outdated tradition because everyone else is doing it. You’re telling me someone is going to pay shipping—wait, the site says "free shipping," which is always a red flag for "we padded the price to cover the cost"—for a piece of fabric that'll end up in a dusty box in the attic after one night? It’s ridiculous. We live in an era where you can get custom, high-end accessories from actual designers in NYC or LA, and instead, people are clicking on these bottom-tier websites. It’s a total waste of money. If you want to do the whole garter thing, do it right. Don't settle for this low-rent nonsense. Honestly, it makes my blood boil seeing how much money gets thrown away on these little trifles. Total garbage.

I typed in "army garter." 😁
I honestly have no clue where you're gonna find that... just try looking on eBay.

Thanks, I totally missed that. 😵
So, I think I just pulled the trigger on my very first eBay purchase! I’ve never actually bought anything on there before, so this is a total first for me. If this thing actually shows up at my door anytime soon, I am going to be absolutely stoked.🙂

There's a Rolex right across from State Farm on Nazorov. What color are you looking for?

Hey everyone, if you're living out in the Midwest, you're actually in luck. There's this place that does incredible invitations and floral arrangements at prices that won't break the bank... definitely worth checking out
