I’ll drop this here: Jordie’s boutique over at Portانا in Indianapolis is running a 50% discount on men's suits. If any grooms out there are looking—well, I certainly wasn't interested, but there it is.🙂

Also, a quick heads-up for the ladies looking for those test tube wedding invitation holders—I spotted a 6-pack available at Kik in the same mall.$3.00 .

Anyway, what are you guys doing about shoes? Based on what I've read here, it seems like there aren't really any dedicated bridal boutiques out in the Midwest... I think I might have to hit up NYC. At the last wedding expo, I saw that Karl had these amazing shoes—they were pricey, sure, but I guess nothing should be off-limits on our big day, right? 🙄

Oh, I totally forgot to mention, we actually ordered our invitations from Nik Titanik.. 😍

I'm not planning on doing anything too crazy with my shoes...
😂 I was actually thinking about ordering thank-you notes from Nik Titanik... is that going to be pricey?

I didn't... 😲 I actually had to navigate all the way back to the main page just to find your post again...
🤦

Thanks, Daniel Smith8—I’ll definitely give that a shot today... 😘

Custom caricature $267, plus free invite design and printing for about $2.00 per card.. Honestly though, we're really happy with it.. 😁 You don't have to use his printer, obviously, it's just an option.. We went with it because we honestly didn't feel like hunting around for someone else right now..

Has anyone heard of the Alstromeri flower shop in Indianapolis or worked with Marko Bijelić? I see his work mentioned here occasionally, so I guess I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with him?

I certainly believe you're happy with them... 😁
and honestly, I don't think it's much at all—the price point is actually quite solid... 😁

Back again! 🙂
I could use a little help... Where did you guys find the best selection of wedding invitations and boutonnieres? And uh, does the groom and his crew actually wear real flowers, or...? 🙂 I’m totally clueless here, honestly. This is all just getting started. 🙂 Thanks everyone..

In my case, the wedding party—parents, groomsmen, bridesmaids—will all have artificial ones, though perhaps a slightly more lush design... as for the groom, he'll be wearing live 🤷

Walter Moore5 said:So, she’s getting married in June! I’ve already booked the venue, the band, and the photographer... what's next on the list? Should I be hunting down cakes, flowers, and all that stuff right now?

Can anyone give me some advice?? 🙂

Well, if you aren't looking for servers or kitchen staff to go along with the banquet setup, you can certainly look into that... though there is plenty of time to decide. 🙂
You might want to start gathering some contacts and doing a little reconnaissance 😉
regarding the catering side of things—you could always ask around or just gather more info... there’s still time to weigh your options and see what sticks. And, of course, there is always that pre-marital course option... just my two cents. 😉

You should check out the wedding planning section on The Knot—they have these comprehensive planners you can just download. It’s honestly a lifesaver if you need to get organized... personally, I've found them incredibly useful so far. 🙂

Has anyone heard of that flower shop up in Appalachia run by Mark Bijelic? I see his work popping up here occasionally, so I was wondering if anyone actually has first-hand experience with him?

Anyone? 🙂

Hey everyone, does anyone here actually have first-hand experience with studying at Chick-fil-A in Indianapolis?

I could use some advice on where to pick up invitation cardstock here in Indianapolis—you know, all those fancy folders and stuff. I haven't lived in the States long enough to know where everything is located. So far, I’ve checked out Hobby Lobby over in the county area and some shops on Main Street, but they're pretty overpriced. Does anyone know if Target carries anything decent? Thanks in advance!

Well, I've already booked them for my wedding party—though I haven't made it to my trial run yet. That’s scheduled for sometime in May, so I'll give you the lowdown once I do... when are you planning to go?

I’ve still got about ten months left until the wedding, but I honestly want to start scouting options right now—mostly because my usual hairstylist is... well, let's just say she isn't exactly the expert when it comes to formal updos. As for the makeup, I tried going to a professional beauty salon once, but after I got home and took everything off, I realized I could probably just do a much better job of doing it myself 🤣
