Anthony Hall83 said:I’ve still got about ten months left until the wedding, but I honestly want to start scouting options right now—mostly because my usual hairstylist is... well, let's just say she isn't exactly the expert when it comes to formal updos. As for the makeup, I tried going to a professional beauty salon once, but after I got home and took everything off, I realized I could probably just do a much better job of doing it myself 🤣

They have a presence on Facebook if you want to check them out; both the hair and the makeup work are top-tier. Personally, I already booked Elena for my makeup a while back, so it would be awkward to cancel on her now... but if I hadn't already committed, I probably would have booked both services from Dragana.

jadeskipper85 said:I could use some advice on where to pick up invitation cardstock here in Indianapolis—you know, all those fancy folders and stuff. I haven't lived in the States long enough to know where everything is located. So far, I’ve checked out Hobby Lobby over in the county area and some shops on Main Street, but they're pretty overpriced. Does anyone know if Target carries anything decent? Thanks in advance!

The selection in Indianapolis isn't exactly huge. Besides the spots you already hit, check out that Chase bookstore on El Paso Street near MIT. Prices there are usually a bit better.

Not sure what their stock looks like lately since it's been a while since I was there. Personally, I just buy my paper through wholesale, but you gotta have a business license for that.

The paper selection here in Indianapolis is pathetic. I just grabbed mine at Staples once when I was heading over to the downtown area... there's this print shop near the Chick-fil-A and the Volkswagen dealership, behind where the Tifosi hang out—I think it’s called Radin Graphics. You might want to check them out; when I called, they said they do retail, but I could never make it over there since our work schedules are identical and they're closed on Saturdays.

Thanks, ladies. I’m heading out tomorrow to track down that paperwork and check out those spots you mentioned. Since I don't have any other business in NYC and I haven't the slightest clue where anything is located, I guess I'll just have to shell out some serious cash for it.🤷

Does anyone actually know how much that Chick-fil-A inspired studio over in Indianapolis charges just to do hair and makeup?

I haven't a clue—but I'll look into it and get back to you. 🙂

Hey ladies! So, I was actually out traveling through the Midwest—specifically over in Arizona—yesterday, and I ended up doing a massive haul of balloons, bows, and all sorts of cute stuff. Honestly, the prices were such a steal... if anyone is curious about what everything cost, let me know! 🙂

First post and you're already posting an ad—we don't allow that here. M.

So, a quick question for everyone—does anyone know where I can find helium-filled balloons in Indianapolis? :/

We definitely went a little overboard...
I saw someone mentioning their shopping trip out in Arizona—I was actually doing some similar damage about six months ago, picking up bows, tulle, and all that gear. I totally blanked on the balloons, though, so we ended up making a detour to grab those at a Target near Phoenix. By the time I got back, I almost had a stroke... everything was way cheaper over there! So, ladies, if you happen to be closer to the border like I 🙂 am, check out the shops on the American side first before heading into Canada

Hey, Carl Clark, 😢
did you end up stopping by that little corner shop over in Springfield? 🤔

Yeah, just near the farmers market...
But whatever, I still need to grab a few more bits for my cakes, so I'll head over there.
They have some gorgeous sugar flowers for decorating—I totally forgot to check if they're actually edible ☕

Carl Clark, you know, that little side street—the one where there are just two shops and nothing else... I know, I know, I’m being tedious.. 🙂
but I have a feeling we end up shopping at the exact same place.. 😉

Man, talk about a hidden gem... this tiny little shop has absolutely everything inside.
I’m actually considering just making my own reversible items and sourcing all my supplies from her, since the folks over at FedEx Office told me they won't touch an order for 250 pieces 🙂
If they aren't going to help me, then fine, I'll do it myself...
The lady there was switching between English, Spanish, and German so fast I was just standing there totally stunned... 😁

I totally forgot to ask—did you end up washing the bottles?
It was freezing out there today... I just pictured you outside scrubbing those bottles and I actually shivered 🤣

😂 That lady is actually my cousin's mother-in-law... 😁 I was just doing what I could—basically grabbing everything that looked useful 😂 and then ordering some more online
I’ve already dumped them all in the sink, so I'll be stuck washing about fifteen pieces at a time... since I didn't even get home from work until 4:00 PM.
Honestly, I have zero desire to deal with the hassle of freezing bottles outside in this weather. 🤣

Where did you pick up those containers from Target? I might need some too 🙂 I don't need a ton 🙂
