Since my wedding is being held at the Marriott in Mexico City, I am considering options in Columbus, the Finger Lakes, or even the surrounding areas.

Thank you all very much 😍

The Marriott has plenty of glassware—I think they have those martini-style vases available.

I'm aware they have martini vases, but I have zero interest in them.😁

I want low, simple ones, and an aunt who actually knows how to arrange them properly.🙂

I’ve been super happy with Iva from El Paso—she goes by Kozmetički Iva. She’s done my makeup several times and it was always perfect. 🙂

Hi there!
I’m bringing a little bit of that Midwest charm to the mix... I’ve realized that getting professional thank-you cards printed is getting surprisingly pricey (since I’m insisting on that ultra-minimalist look—just crisp black ink on pure white paper, and they’re charging me $1.50/piece for it), so I think I’ll just print them myself at home after I pick up some high-quality cardstock. However, I do have one nagging question floating around my head—does anyone happen to know where I might be able to rent some round tables out here in the Midwest? I checked with the folks over in Indianapolis, and they told me they don't have any available... 🤷
On a side note, the banquet hall at the Park Hotel in Indianapolis is, frankly, an absolute eyesore. One wall is a garish red, another is this dark wood brown, and then there's this peach-colored one that really completes the disaster. But, the manager did promise me he’d repaint everything white, so perhaps there’s a glimmer of hope for the aesthetic! 😂

If you mean round bar stools, check out Vigus in Indianapolis, but if you need full-sized tables for a hall, I'm stumped. No clue here. 🤷

I have to weigh in on the situation regarding the hotel in Indianapolis... those wall colors just don't sit right with me at all. 🤷
As for the tables, there isn't much I can do to help you there—you might want to try looking for options in Columbus or maybe Pittsburgh instead. 😉

Hopefully they actually get around to painting it! If they don't, my partner and I will be stuck whitewashing the entire place just a week before the wedding 😂 I was honestly already considering picking up some white drop cloths to cover the walls myself... 😢

Anyone know where I can find the cheapest place for invitations? I just want something super basic, but I really don't have the patience to DIY them myself.

You can hit up the local print shop over in Columbus and get them for about $0.83/each. I actually found some killer options at $1.00, though I still need to hunt down some ribbons to go with them. They’ll tie everything together for you.

Hey, do they charge extra for printing or is everything included in the price?
Thanks 🙂

It's all included, unless there are ribbons on the invitations. In that case, you just buy the ribbon and bring it in; they'll tie them for you. Mine ended up costing about $2.20 per invite including the ribbon. Their thing is that the more you order, the cheaper it gets. You can find some really beautiful designs on $1.00, but ours were pretty cheap since we ordered a massive batch 🙂...

We grabbed those satin ribbons over at the mall. The sleeves were only about $1.00 or $1.25 each—just one little tie, and there's 9 meters of it. If you end up heading out toward the suburbs like we did, I can show you the spot.

Hey everyone, quick question—whereabouts in Indianapolis can I track down some high-quality cardstock for thank-you notes? I’m heading into town tomorrow and want to knock this out while I'm there, especially since I've decided to DIY the actual invitations myself... thanks a million! 🙂

🤷 I actually picked mine up in Des Moines... my aunt even went ahead and printed it out for me from a large format machine onto A4 sheets 😉

🦋 ladies, whereabouts in Des Moines? 🤷
--just to set the record straight right now, I’ll be designing the thank-you notes myself, but I am definitely buying the invitations!--- (please don't make me go back and edit my last post)

Maybe I'm a bit late to the party, but there's a tiny wedding boutique tucked behind the Super department store—the one right by the Walker. You might find what you need there. Also, check out Hobby Art over on County Street in the center; they carry just about everything under the sun. 😉

Does anyone know the typical price for a serving platter at places like Walmart, Intermarché, or Billi? I'm looking for the best deal.

I need some for my place before the wedding, so I’m just trying to get an idea of the cost.
