Chris Anderson4, I’m heading back to Indianapolis next week to deal with the whole wedding dress saga again, so I might finally swing by that "little boutique" we talked about. I already wasted my time checking out Hobby Art, and honestly, it was a complete bust... nothing. I have my heart set on something white with a textured, embossed feel, but it’s like they don't even exist anywhere. 🤷I did stumble upon some pearly ones over in Des Moines, so if my dream dress remains a myth, I suppose I'll just have to settle for those!

velvetwalker742, take a look. There was this little shop right inside Super, everything wedding-related on the ground floor. Honestly, I haven't been in there for ages, so I can't vouch if they're still around. Also, check some local bookstores; they usually carry all sorts of stationery—New on the Square, or maybe A. g. Matos over on Avenue near the main post office.

Ladies, since I’m basically a Midwest girl through and through, here is a band recommendation (Mayo, could you add this to the info list if it isn't there? I haven't checked lately)
The Vigor band. They played a gig last fall and their lead singer—this bald guy, lol—completely blew me away. He was just so charismatic and funny. My cousin actually had them play at her wedding recently, and she said the energy stayed high the whole night. When I finally tie the knot, I'm definitely booking them. 😉

I assume you already know the drill. To get to the nut shop, take a right at that first traffic light just past the state line. You'll hit a roundabout; go straight through it and follow the bypass. On your left, you'll spot that big gray Ultima Nova building—it’s hard to miss. There's a boutique on the ground floor, and upstairs they have everything from curtains and fabrics to ribbons and thread. Whatever you're looking for. Hopefully, that covers it.😉

Hello everyone. I’ve been following this thread for quite some time now, so I thought I might as well chime in and offer whatever assistance I can... 🙂
Today, I went out looking for various flowers, leaves, and some "webbing" for boutonnieres. Regarding the floral selection—there is actually a decent variety at that little shop right near the Supercenter. A small arrangement consisting of 12 tiny roses was $1.50, and I picked up a pack of 12 white leaves over at Hobby Art for $1.50. As far as the mesh and ribbons are concerned, Hobby Art tends to be the more budget-friendly option. I hope this proves useful to some of you...

Well, have you ever tried the Golden Hand store in Indianapolis? They have a pretty massive selection of various papers, though I suppose I'm not entirely sure if they carry the specific type you're looking for... it might be worth a look, I guess.

Hello everyone.. 👋
I was wondering if anyone might know where I could find some affordable rentals for tables and chair covers out in the Midwest? I suppose I'm looking for somewhere within reach, maybe around Indianapolis, Des Moines, or Đakov... perhaps you all have already mentioned some options, though I don't believe I've seen them mentioned yet.

@cosmicnomad22 - would you mind telling me roughly where "Golden Hand" is located?
I think I might actually consider starting my own crafting business too... it really does feel like the right time.

P.S. oh, wait, I just managed to find the location while searching online... is that over on Gundulić Avenue?

Greetings, everyone!
Just wanted to drop a quick heads-up regarding that famous Arizona Corridor: THEY ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS! I actually went there yesterday... 🤣
cosmicnomad22, would you be a dear and give me a more detailed description of where that little shop near the Superstore is located? I’m trying to avoid wandering aimlessly around town tomorrow. 😁
Also, I’m going to attempt to track down the Golden Hand... I really ought to get that thank-you note paperwork sorted out tomorrow...
Oh, and cosmicnomad22, there's this woman in a town near Indianapolis who rents out covers—her name is Stella— and then there's Grafoart— http://www.pozivnice.org/index.php?o...d=59&Itemid=70 (I picked those up at a wedding expo) 😉

On Gundulić Avenue... they have enough parking for maybe one or two cars out front. I actually bought some paperwork from them, though I have this nagging feeling it might have been cheaper over at Hobby Art if I compare the prices... anyway, the weather is quite pleasant, so I might take a stroll along 🙂

The little shop is tucked right behind the Super center; you can actually cut through the Super entrance and head all the way to the far right. There’s also an entrance facing the parking lot, though it looks a bit like a small corner bodega—not exactly the most polished looking spot on the block, situated way at the very back of the lot.
I suppose you'll manage to find it.

Hi there, organizer! 🙂
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can pick up some chair covers. I’m looking for about 180 pieces, ideally somewhere in the Des Moines area or nearby.
Has anyone ever visited that local studio? I'm curious about their selection and what the experience is like, since I have a discount there and was thinking of heading over, but I'm not quite sure what their inventory looks like... Thanks!
🙄

Do you think they might have vases available for rent? Something like a narrow, round style 😁

Hey ladies, does anyone know where I can pick up white container candles like these at a decent price? Something along the lines of:

I’m looking to grab about 70 of them.

Moni, that shop tucked behind the supermarket isn't exactly some tiny boutique; it’s called Vigus, and they actually have an online presence too. They carry quite a selection on paper, though if you're looking for embossed or pearlescent finishes, you won't find them there... 😢 That said, they have just about everything you could need for a wedding, much like a high-end retailer you might find in Chicago—most of their inventory actually comes from one of those top-tier suppliers anyway. 😁

I mean, they’ve definitely got everything you need, but the lighting is pretty dim, so it feels way smaller than it actually is. 😵

I picked up the exact same ones at Target. They weren't pricey, but that was about six months ago.

Sorry for the double post, looks like there isn't an edit button here. 😢

Quick question, somewhat off-topic from the wedding stuff. Where can I get a dress custom-made in Indianapolis to look exactly like a photo I have?

It's right there, in the spot where the old Walmart used to be. 😉

casualhawk16, what I actually laid eyes on wasn't even their official branch; the shop is called Vigus, but practically everything inside is sourced from a solid partner—it’s all under their own private label... it's located right behind the supermarket, quite literally. If you step out of the supermarket and cross the street, you'll hit the local newspaper office! Once you exit the supermarket and make it to the other side, Vigus is just there to the right, and they have those "Everything for Weddings" signs plastered everywhere!!!
