From what I've seen on their Facebook page, their shots are great. 😁 They are definitely on my shortlist. 🙂

I’m on the hunt for a makeup artist for a wedding... Has anyone actually worked with Tihana Kordić before? I'd love to hear the real story—whether it was a total dream or a complete disaster.

Does anyone here have recent experience with this? What kind of prices are we looking at these days?

Hey there! Honestly, the Perić center is hands down my favorite venue in the whole Savannah area. Not only is the space absolutely stunning, but their service is top-notch—definitely a five-star experience—and they are incredibly flexible, so you can pretty much work out any detail you need with them.

Hey everyone! So, I actually had them on my shortlist as well, but then I started hearing some whispers from other people that things weren't quite as perfect as they seemed. A colleague of mine mentioned that they were quoted $4,000, but by the time everything was settled, the bill shot up to $6,000 because they charged extra for every little thing—like the photo album, thank-you cards, duplicate prints, even extra DVDs... stuff they just didn't mention upfront. That kind of surprise cost really turned me off, so I ended up deciding to go with Photo-Video Ilya instead. Their pricing is much more reasonable, the shots are gorgeous, and you can tell they truly go the extra mile to make sure you're happy 🙂

I wonder if a hall in Savannah would feel empty with 300 people in it?

And which of those big-name bands—Sax, Quattro, Still, Babylon, or 100%—actually plays a decent amount of foreign covers?

I actually have family getting married there soon, and I can't recommend the Perić center enough! Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, but the service is top-notch too. Seriously, big thumbs up from me!

From what I’ve heard, you can actually partition the room off if you're expecting a smaller crowd.
As for the bands, I've only seen Still live, and let me tell you, they are great!

A question for all the seasoned brides and those currently planning their big day!
Is it actually normal to be waiting over two weeks just to hear back from bands and photographers???
I don't get it. I sent emails to about ten different vendors and have only received four replies. wtf??? Well, I guess one person tried to comfort me by saying she waited an entire month :-)

Honestly, the service is what’s actually weighing on my mind. I suppose I'm just worried about my guests going hungry. For those of you who have actually eaten at Nikolina—is there enough food, and how is the service?

Honestly, you're better off just calling them. You'll get the info much faster that way. 🙂

Same here when I first started emailing... most of them just ghosted me. Even when they did reply, it was always some "call this number for more info" nonsense. Honestly, you're better off just calling right away.
When I called one venue once, the guy was so rude I practically hung up on him myself. 🤣

Just figured I’d toss this question out here too 🙂 girls, is it true that bridal shops in your neck of the woods have better prices on wedding dresses than they do here in NYC? Like, if I'm looking to buy or even just rent one... I noticed Isabelle is their rep for the eastern part of the US! thanks 🙂

I was hoping I wouldn't get redirected to a phone call 😁 but I guess it doesn't matter if I don't have my phone handy; makes the whole point of an email contact feel a bit moot, doesn't it?
Thanks for the help, ladies :*

I just wanted to share this in case it helps anyone else out there... I recently hosted my in-laws, and honestly, everything was absolutely perfect except for one thing: the dessert. We decided to go with those famous, highly-reputed pastries from Katine in St. Louis. I truly believed they’d be great because I had always heard nothing but glowing reviews about them in the past, but now? I'm just at a loss for words. I can't believe we missed the mark so badly on the sweets. Every single guest mentioned how they weren't good and felt incredibly old-fashioned. Interestingly enough, nobody had a single complaint about the cakes.

For those who actually have experience with the saxophone band out of Indianapolis, is it true they play those traditional folk tunes on the tamburica? If that’s actually the case, it would be pretty much perfect 🙂 everything in one package 😁

Hey everyone, I’m new here and could really use some advice regarding wedding bands. I have my wedding coming up this September, and I’m looking into a band called Sound from out near Savannah. I haven't heard a single bad review about them; apparently, they can play just about anything. They even include their own traditional folk musicians for the reception and church ceremony, plus they have a permanent accordion player in the lineup 🙂. Since the price is pretty reasonable, I wanted to see if anyone has any firsthand experience or opinions on them... :S

I'm also curious if anyone has worked with Vox or the Babylon band.

Thanks! 🙂 🤷

Hey ladies,

I was wondering if anyone could point me toward a good band with a female vocalist based out in the Midwest?

The wedding is going to be held over in Savannah.

I already reached out to 100% band but they’re already booked up for that date.

I checked out still band
on YouTube, but honestly... the singer comes across as a bit rough to me—and her whole singing style too. Am I totally misreading the vibe here?🤷

I'm currently waiting to hear back from Vagabundo over in the suburbs...

But who else do you think might be worth looking into?

Still waiting to hear back from Vagabundo over in Katy.

Maybe there are other players involved?

Hey, I was actually at a wedding recently where Vagabundo played. I have nothing but praise, really—they were solid, and the singer has a great voice. My only gripe (which seems to be a thing with most bands 🙂) is that the music was just too loud. Everything was way too loud; she’s shouting, everyone else is shouting... it's just a lot. 😕
It bothers me quite a bit, personally. She's got talent, though; she'd probably sound even better if she didn't have to yell so much. 😁
