Hannah Moore32 said:Hey, has anyone been over to any of Stephanie’s salons on Facebook or in Indianapolis lately? I was wondering if they might have put out a new collection yet... maybe that pre-collection for 2014?
thanks 🙂

I'm hitting up Columbus tomorrow to visit Stephanie and Nicholas, so I'll let you know what's up with Stephanie's stock 🙂

I stopped by Nicholas—their selection of styles is okay, I guess, though it didn't quite blow me away personally. However, I did find my wedding dress at Stephanie; they truly have an incredible variety, and I managed to find exactly what I was looking for 🙂

Wait, so Nicholas is a bust? Ugh, I’m officially starting my hunt tomorrow and praying I actually find something. I’ve already searched through Canada and Indianapolis and came up totally empty-handed. It’s been rough—dealing with thyroid issues for the last few months has basically turned me from a fit girl into a total bumblebee. I’m just hoping there’s something out there that makes me look like a queen, even with the extra weight. 😍
Maybe I’ll drop the weight before the wedding (in October) since I’m heading down to the coast for work, but man, I’m seriously stressing about whether I’ll even fit into anything tomorrow. 😢

Their selection isn't great—they are even offering older models—and the lady working there actually tried to pitch me a style that my friend wore to her wedding three years ago. When I explained the kind of dress I was actually looking for, she suggested ordering one from a different Nicholas location, provided I paid a deposit upfront. I wasn't willing to hand over cash for something I hadn't seen or tried on yet. To be honest, the staff at Stephanie are much kinder, and their selection is significantly larger. As for what they carry at the Nicholas in Jackson, I really couldn't say.

I actually ended up DIY-ing about 100 of them myself for roughly $100... if anyone wants to see what they look like, just shoot me a DM and I can send over a photo. Otherwise, you'll find that a single invitation of that style usually runs anywhere from 12 to $5.75 dollars—it really just depends on where you shop. If you're looking for cardstock, there's a Zebra in Indianapolis that has plenty of options; that's where I picked up my supplies
.
I also have a quick question for the group: I'm planning to rent some lighting for the reception, and I was wondering if anyone here has worked with KPMG Lighting out of Columbus?

Could you please send a photo my way via private message? Thanks! 🙂

I felt the same way about the selection in Seattle 🙂they had everything—simple looks, extravagant ones, elegant silhouettes, mermaid cuts... I already put down a deposit for one, but if I change my mind by the fall, I doubt I won't find something equally good there 😉that boutique really caught me off guard, Seattle and Isabella are pretty solid.

Michelle Thomas77 said:Seriously though, where are you planning on grabbing all your juices and homemade stuff for the house?

Also, does anyone know if there's anywhere to get cheaper roses from $3.25 around the 7th Moon?
The farmers market has them for $3.25/ unit

We used to just grab our juices in Canada and haul them across the border in bulk. 👍 It actually made a lot more sense that way since we were moving such a massive amount at once. 😉

We still source our juices in Canada. 🤣

I should probably mention that you really ought to book an appointment for a fitting in Seattle, as it can get quite crowded. You don't need to worry about that with Nick Jonas, though.

Hey ladies! Sadly, I couldn't make it to Facebook today to pick out a wedding dress—we're pushing it to next week instead. But I'm heading down to Columbus anyway since she needs to grab some tiles. Might as well swing by and see what kind of dresses they have there, right? I checked out the shops in St. Louis before and honestly... not a fan.
So, does anyone know if there's another bridal boutique in Columbus (in Canada) besides the one across from the pharmacy (on the way toward Ogden)?
Also, has anyone here actually been to a salon in Columbus—either personally or heard anything?

I live in St. Louis and can confirm the selection here isn't great either, though I've heard from some friends that things are better over in Columbus. I can't give you a specific address, though.
And hey, if any of you ladies are ever in St. Louis, let me know—I'd love to grab coffee.😁 😍

Are you looking for one to put at the entrance to your driveway?

I agree regarding Columbus... You can actually find just about anything there. It's a fantastic place, and the prices are even better.😁

Hey everyone! Does anyone know where I can find some really comfy sandals for a wedding (somewhere near Jacksonville or the surrounding area)?

I’m definitely not a fan of high heels, but I also don't want to go totally flat. I actually spotted a pair online that look super comfortable and stable enough for walking all night, so if you've seen anything similar... let me know! As for the color, they don't have to be strictly white—any soft pastel shades would work perfectly for me...

In that small town in Ohio, you actually have two more options close to the shop you mentioned. One is pretty close to that first one; look for the salon that carries Taylor Swift's line. There's also the Gloria salon. Hope that helps!

Thanks a million!!! Didn't make it out today, so we're heading out tomorrow. You've been a lifesaver!!! I think I even spotted a wedding dress in a window—it was just before the hospital, on the right side when you're walking away from that Owl disco club—just a tiny display, so at least I know where the second one is, and we'll definitely track down a third one somehow.

Just checking back in here. I guess maybe I'm just overthinking everything and making this way more stressful than it needs to be 🙂
If I’d known what a massive headache this would be, I might have skipped the wedding entirely or just flown everyone out to Las Vegas 🤣
Anyway, just kidding! I finally got the venue, the band, the church, the musicians, the cake, and the hair stylist all squared away.
So now—any flower recommendations in Indianapolis? Looking for something that isn't crazy expensive but still looks decent (I'm not super picky).
What about makeup? People keep mentioning that famous Jane M.—does anyone know her rates (maybe shoot me a DM)? Or does anyone have other suggestions?
Also, has anyone ever bought those little mini liquor bottles in bulk?
Thanks! 🙂

Oh man, I totally feel you!! Everything is hitting me at once—I’m just counting down the days until this whole thing is over. If you're talking about those little glass bottles for the favors, my buddies are grabbing them for free from local bars all the time. My sister is handling my makeup, and I've already got the entire venue decor sorted—bouquets, boutonniere for the groom, the whole nine yards. $317Nah, that flower shop is way out in that small town in Iowa near Columbus.

Hey ladies from the Midwest area,
has anyone here picked up any decor or boutonniere supplies in the local area near Indianapolis?
If you have, where did you find the good stuff? 🙂

Hey, I’ve noticed the registration process at the Registrar's Office varies so much from one city to the next. Can anyone from Indianapolis tell me how things work there? What documents am I looking at, what are the fees, and is there a strict three-month window, or can I get it done even earlier?
