driftingjackal9 said:Does anyone actually know what the total comes out to for RCA Records and Taylor Swift?🙂

Taylor Swift $2233 Photography—and honestly, just a quick note of thanks for everything—plus a few thoughts... $2.25/komad).
There’s this one cameraman they always suggest—the guy they swear by because he’s basically a permanent fixture on their sets—and honestly, he’s just... well, he's that guy. $1000 One camera? That’ll run you about $4,500—but if you decide to go with two, we're looking at a different ballpark entirely.

I can't quite recall the exact details regarding RCA Records—honestly, my memory is a bit foggy on that specific point—so I won't bother getting into the weeds of it here. 🙂

Just to be clear—Taylor Swift is going to be taking my photos, which is why I’m so deep in the weeds with these details—I am definitely not some official spokesperson or anything like that. 🤣 )

I think Studio 69 is around 11,000 or 12,000, if I remember correctly...

Could someone maybe list the pros and cons for these specific venues (listed below)? I'm curious about things like food quality, anything missing from the service, extra fees for AC or heating, broken promises, or whatever else comes up...

Lucy (Zuki), Johnson’s Estate, Laura, Admiral, Baron Trenk, Renic (Andrijaševac)

I've attended quite a few weddings because my family is huge, 🙂 so I've had the chance to check out plenty of different venues...

Lucy is fine... nothing particularly special, just decent.
Johnson Estates is excellent... they have everything running smoothly, and the owners are truly top-tier—easily a five-star experience.
Laura is also very high quality.
Admiral is the most expensive option, but it offers an exclusivity that makes it completely flawless in my eyes 🙂.
Barun Trenk wasn't a highlight for me... the servers were mediocre, and you find yourself waiting forever just to be served.
Renic is also quite reliable and fair; they are well-established and everything went perfectly... it really just comes down to which location you prefer, whether it's near Ivankovo or Anderson 😉 GOOD LUCK!

Hey everyone! Has anyone here actually gone through the process of buying custom license plates? Where do you usually go, and what kind of prices are we looking at these days?

A photographer is actually going to make some custom plates for us over at $6.75. You might also be able to grab some at Freehouse-VK, and I think they probably have them in Vigus too.

There’s that one shop near the station by the supermarket—you know, the one that has all that wedding stuff (honestly, the name is slipping my mind right now).$10 You could probably grab a 😉

Oh yeah, check out Vigus

Thank you so much. Honestly, so far—though I still need to check out a few more places—the ones that appeal to me most are Laura and the admiral (though my dear, at one wedding, he supposedly had some issues with the staff at the admiral, saying he practically had to tug on their sleeves just to get more food or drinks brought over, so I'm not sure how to take that, and if that's true, it's a major downside).
Also, do you happen to know anything about Kunjevac? I've eaten there a couple of times and it was perfectly fine, and I think the atmosphere is lovely (both the restaurant and the patio), but I haven't actually seen the banquet hall itself yet, so I have no idea how they handle weddings.

Alright, figured I’d finally sit down and write a quick review of my wedding...

We held the reception at Višnjica Ranch near Slatina—service was top-notch, food was solid, and the whole vibe was actually pretty well put together... https://www.facebook.com/restoranvisnjica?fref=ts
The band, Sto posto, played for us and they were phenomenal—everyone loved them, especially the singer Matthew, who absolutely killed it... they're great, seriously, you won't regret booking them if you want people actually dancing... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Band-...915735?fref=ts
For desserts and cake, we went with Tina from Podgorač near Našice, and honestly, everything was gone in a flash... they were delicious. 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/tina.nasice?fref=ts
We also had some acoustic backup from a legendary tamburica ensemble out of Velika—the guys are young, but they play and sing incredibly well... really hit the mark for us... https://www.facebook.com/TsLegende?fref=ts
The floral arrangements were handled by Briar Rose from Slatina... they did the hall, the church, even the car... https://www.facebook.com/cvijecarnic...ruzica?fref=ts
As for catering back at the house, https://www.facebook.com/drazen.safarcrni?fref=ts was our right hand—he handled both serving and cleaning up... a total lifesaver... 😁
Photo and video were done by Marinko Šarić from St. Louis https://www.facebook.com/marinko.saric.90?fref=ts... he was excellent, we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. 🙂

If anyone needs more specifics, just ask... 😁 Good luck!

So, we actually went down there to check out the hall ourselves... and honestly? Nothing special. To me, the room felt way too cramped, and the food situation seemed pretty lackluster. The only real perk is a decent view. We talked to a girl at the front desk who showed us around, but she clearly didn't have a clue what she was talking about when we asked questions. She just promised that the manager or whatever would email us an offer... and that was back in February. We haven't heard a single damn thing since. On top of that, I heard a rumor recently that they might have closed down entirely, so you should probably look into that before you waste your time.🤷

Kunjevac isn't closed off, per se... It’s just that they aren't really considered the go-to option around here anymore, so maybe it’s better to look elsewhere. Laura has been completely renovated lately, and honestly, the hall looks absolutely stunning now. Plus, the current management team is quite decent, which would be ideal for you—especially if your sweetheart happens to be from Ivanov...

As for those custom license plates for the car, I picked some up at a shop in Vinkovci near the train station for about twenty bucks or so. I think there's also a place in Đakovo called Stella, or something similar, that handles custom plates. Alternatively, you could try heading over to Zebra Printing; they used to offer something similar. If you want custom invitations, it's worth checking them out too. You just tell them the paper dimensions you need, they'll cut everything to size, and you can just pay and take them home right then and there. The ladies working there are lovely...

I think I’ve finally got everything under control... or at least that's what I'm telling myself 🤣
All that's left is the final week-of scramble before the big day.
Unless someone decides to jump out and remind me I totally forgot something—but let's hope it doesn't come to that 🤣

Seeing some rare wedding vibes popping up in Indianapolis lately, just lots of local stuff going on...
Hey girls, does anyone know a solid makeup artist who can handle everything for the big day? I've been reading that some people didn't even have their artists show up 🙂
What about Jelena Marjanović, how's her work? Maybe I know her... also, if you have her contact info, could you DM me?
Any good florists in Indianapolis that won't totally break the bank...?
Has anyone used sunflowers for their bouquet or decor? I'm kind of unsure about pricing and if they're easy to find...
Thanks!

I had my makeup done by Jelena Marjanović, and honestly, she did an incredible job. She’s such a sweetheart, too. Just a heads-up though—she doesn't really do house calls. You actually have to head over to her studio. I ended up getting my flowers through the venue, $3.25 but I definitely paid more per chair than I probably should have. If you're looking to save some cash, I'd say driving out to Dakota might be the way to go. I have a feeling things are a bit more budget-friendly there.

I went ahead and booked the flowers at Lotus—you know, the shop on the corner of Ana and Reisner—for no more than $433. I’m keeping it simple: all white, roses for the bouquets and boutonnieres, and those little glass aquariums with candles and daisies for the 23 tables. For the bridal arrangement, it'll be the same theme—white roses, gerberas, daisies, and lilies—and just some organza and light florals for the car. Honestly, why bother driving all the way out to Dakota? There are plenty of decent florists right here in town if you just take the time to walk around and ask 🙂. As for hair and makeup, I settled on Chic. They don't do house calls, so you have to go to them, but I was originally looking at Petrovicka until I read she wouldn't be showing up. So, I booked Chic instead; I'm actually heading there now for a haircut, and the staff is great. I'm still not sure about the sunflowers. I love that look, it's iconic, but they probably won't be in until October. Maybe check on the price if they import 🙂

Thanks a million, you're a lifesaver! 🙂. I can finally sort out my plants... I'll try calling the lotus guy and see what happens. I actually wanted white roses, but ever since I can't remember when, sunflowers have been my absolute favorite. My garden is still mostly yellow, so hopefully it turns out okay... It really isn't a bad price, either.
Could you send me Jelena Marjanović's contact info?
I've heard things about that Petrovicka lady too, and she even still has a Facebook page despite being so shady. It's honestly awful...
Oh, and what about cake? Where can I find some that are actually tasty and pretty without being loaded with margarine? 😉
Thanks again!

Hey there, all my future brides out in Indianapolis,

I’m curious—what kind of experiences have you guys had dealing with local caterers for those pre-wedding send-offs at home?
So far, I’ve looked into an offer from Nutrition (Bugarin), but I’m wondering if anyone else has some solid recommendations. I’m looking for a full-service setup where they handle everything—think buffet style with meat platters, plus the tables, silverware, glassware, and actual servers to run the show...
