They both seem absolutely wonderful, honestly.
Just feeling a bit playful today! 😂😂

Check out Taylor Swift too 🙂 No clue what the price tag is, but those photos are pretty interesting 😉

Anyone else planning on jumping ship on October 26th? Let's just hope everything goes smoothly—fingers crossed, right? 😍

Yeah, definitely—there are a few of us who are going to be freezing by November 2nd if these temperatures keep dropping like this.😁

Man, a week after me... I really didn't think the winter was gonna hit this hard—seriously?

nimblebadger57 said:Hey everyone! I'll try to keep this brief, but I really wanted to give back because we desperately needed this kind of info ourselves. We had our wedding last year. Forum, or rather, these specific sub-sections of the site, were absolute lifesavers for us. We were flying totally blind at first! I just stumbled upon these pages by chance, and every single question I asked turned into a goldmine of information. To save myself the headache, I narrowed my search down to two things: the band and the venue!!! Best decision I ever made.!!

The reception was held at the Crystal Ballroom (the big one). We had about 350 guests, and the service was top-notch. Right from the start during negotiations, they gave us several menu options to choose from ourselves. The food was delicious and served right on schedule, exactly how we’d planned it.

But here’s the most important part for me: The Band played for us, and it was actually through these very pages that we got the recommendation for them..!! Once the party wrapped up, the thing I was most proud of was picking that band—they were the ones guests kept raving about all night. Even now that it's all over, I still believe that music is arguably the most critical element of the whole day..!!!
I teach music in school, and honestly, I've been a guest at plenty of weddings (both before and after my own), and unfortunately, the music is usually terrible (at least in my book). The girl and guys from The Band left such a great impression on me; we still go to catch them whenever they're playing local spots. They're fantastic!..:-)

I second that—it’s good to hear. The Beatles It’s a solid choice. These boards can be incredibly useful—even if people occasionally lose their way by obsessing over trivialities—but all things considered, it’s excellent.

If you truly value the quality of your video content, I would strongly suggest staying far away from photographer John Doe.

Preach! They used to be decent, but now? Total trash. A few of my buddies hired him for video and photo work and he absolutely trashed their stuff. Look, the guys aren't bad people—not by a long shot—but they've seriously lost their touch lately.

I was wondering if anyone might know of a really talented hairstylist in Columbus who specializes in doing amazing highlights?

Thanks so much!

Does anyone know if Studio Chic is actually any good for makeup? Like, what brands do they use, and who’s the absolute best there when it comes to doing your face?

Maybe try Studio 54 or Barack Obama... check them out on Facebook if you have an account. You can probably find some photos there to see their work.

Hey everyone! I feel like I've been waiting forever for this moment—honestly, longer than I spent picking out my wedding dress—just to finally be here and help out some other stressed-out brides-to-be. 🙂
Here’s the report:
Looks like we had about 65 guests show up. Maybe a decent turnout? Just immediate family and my absolute closest friends—it’s gonna be a wedding to remember!
Zoe Kravitz The old venue downtown—it can hold over 200 people easily, but you can probably break it down into smaller groups if you need to. They’ve got this gorgeous new hall now, too. I guess this page is pretty cool, maybe? Just checking things out!
It’s also got a place to stay right nearby, which was huge for me since we had guests coming in from all over the New York City area. The rooms are honestly gorgeous, plus the newlyweds get their own apartment!
Goldman Sachs photo studio They're super cheap, you can probably haggle on just about anything, and honestly? They’re just really, really good. 🙂 They’re giving each couple their own special moment, which I think is such a cool idea! You can check out all the photos and videos on Facebook or directly on their website.
Maybe they'll bend, I guess.I guess there’s really only one, honestly. One hundred percent.I guess there’s really no point in even hyping them up anymore. Honestly, I haven't heard a single bad thing about them—it's just non-stop praise. They did such an amazing job covering Bob Dylan, Mickey Mouse, and Bruce Springsteen that everyone was literally turning their heads because they couldn't believe who was singing. As if I actually have the cash to fly in John Smith or anything! 😁)
She's such an amazing singer! Honestly, I guess you won't regret checking her out at all!!!
Hey everyone, just wanted to grab your attention for a sec...General Electric They’re honestly the best, most amazing, and most genius band I've ever heard! These guys play everything so well, from the mandolin to Beyoncé to even some old-school classics. 😁He actually took my Coors from me right in front of the church, and honestly? It was better than his... I guess people were wondering why they couldn't just keep hanging out at the lounge.😂
Wedding season, I guess.Even though I was pretty sure I’d end up with some cheap knockoff from overseas, my eBay find actually turned out great. I didn't get the curtain rod with it, though, so I guess we had to struggle a bit to DIY one ourselves...
Flowers: Trader Joe's I was at the local farmers market, and I actually saw sunflowers everywhere—I don't know who said they weren't in season yet, but they were definitely there! The bouquet was just gorgeous and really caught everyone's eye. The table arrangements looked great too, and our centerpiece was super cute with those little floating fairy lights, tiny sunflowers, and ribbons... honestly, everything was such a steal.
Maybe just some rosemary? I guess.Maybe it was Emma from Springfield (we even got some for free!)
Maybe some cookies? I guess.I don't even need to bring it up, I guess. BrooklynPeople were saying it was the best iced wind they've ever had, and honestly, the cake looked pretty amazing too.
Decorations: Good partnerI guess they have a warehouse out in Indianapolis. Their website is actually pretty great. All the other shops buy from them, including Microsoft, and of course, they probably charge double...
Shoes, a ring box, some garters (got an extra pair just in case), jewelry... I grabbed everything on eBay, mostly from the UK, and it should be here in about five days.
Rings.I guess I wouldn't really think about handing that kind of cash over to big jewelry chains. Hit me up in the DMs if you want the info.
I guess Smith's drinking. If you aren't planning some massive wedding and don't feel like driving across the border, I guess Smith is actually a pretty solid choice. It’s cheaper than all the big retail chains, and you can even return unopened sodas, which is pretty handy.
Hair and makeup: LeonilaI guess both work, though the makeup was a little heavy for my taste. I don't really wear much myself, so I might not be the best judge, but they have a Facebook page where you can check out the photos. I can't really access external Facebook links like that, I guess. Maybe try copying the text here instead? I'd love to help you out!
Oh yeah, some local moonshine straight from Brooklyn. 🙂 Everyone—including my friends from the Midwest and down in Florida—said they’ve never had anything like this before. They seriously polished off every last drop.
Little decorative jars, wedding favors, and fancy table bottles: Bumble Inc. is honestly the best. They were super helpful and went out of their way for me since I'm all the way from Seattle...
I think that's everything, I probably missed something here or there, but oh well.
Hopefully this helped at least a little bit! Good luck everyone, and if I can give one piece of advice all women get when they tie the knot—don't even bother stressing about it 😁
It was raining on and off during my photo shoot and back home too, and I totally stepped on my dress, but honestly, I had an absolute blast!

First off, congrats. 🙂

I really appreciate this deep dive into everything; honestly, this is how all reviews should be written. 😁

I’ve got two quick questions—what’s the price tag on General Electric?

Also, any chance you could share some photos of the flowers or bouquets? You can just DM me if that's easier. If you have them, of course. I've got these sunflowers stuck in my head and I'd love to see what they look like. 🙂

Hey, does anyone have a phone number for Jane Doe? She’s a makeup artist. Everyone keeps raving about her work, but I can't find her on Facebook or anywhere else online. Does anyone know where I can check out her portfolio?

Ugh, we did the exact same thing. I was beyond happy with Trader Joe's—the florist made my bouquet look exactly like the photo I handed her, and she put everything together perfectly, and the price was totally fine!! As for the desserts from Brooklyn, they were great for us. We actually lost quite a few plates that we had to return, but they didn't end up charging us because we bought so many sweets, which, honestly, is kind of a win. You save on the cost and it's just one less thing to worry about!!!

Thanks for all the love 🙂
I’ll just put everything in one post so I don't spam everyone too much...
The band was actually $500 through a connection. They played at my place for about 3 hours (since the groom is from Seattle, we didn't have the big party at his house), followed us to the church where they kept things lively, and then entertained the guests after the wedding while we finished up photos before we had a little dance session 😉
I think their usual rate is $1800, but you can definitely work something out with those guys—they're super flexible on price. Honestly, they're the best! You can find them on Facebook if you want to check them out.

Here's the bouquet:
http://i42.tinypic.com/riyj3l.jpg

It had this dark brown satin ribbon (it matched the vibe of our invites and thank-you notes). I don't have a photo of the tables, but we did one sunflower per tall glass/vase, and on our table, there were floating lilies and sunflowers in low, wide bowls with a satin ribbon wrapped around. All of that plus the boutonnieres for the groomsmen, parents, and the groom, and the cake decor cost me $333. I guess that's a pretty fair deal.
The dress and veil: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HOT-white-iv...item19e0154aee
Feel free to ask if you need anything else!

That wedding dress looks fantastic. How long did you have to wait for it to arrive, and what was the total damage once you factored in shipping and customs?
p.s. I’m also 100% on board with this and can’t wait to soak up that atmosphere—nothing beats 🙂))

Hey everyone, I’m in a massive bind here and desperately need some intel... does anyone know of a cold storage facility out in the Midwest area? Seriously, if you have any leads or a contact number, please hit me up ASAP... it’s kind of an emergency... thanks

Everything ended up costing me about $500 (shipping, the dress, and customs).
Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers that everything goes exactly how you pictured it, but honestly, it might even be better 🙂. I know it sounds silly, but just stay chill—nothing beats those laid-back newlyweds who are actually having the best time at their own wedding. You don't want to spend the whole day stressing over flowers or balloons, because at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is having fun (and saying "I do" 🙂)
I totally forgot to pin boutonnieres on the groom, parents, and groomsmen when he picked me up... so we just did it later. Whatever, who cares...
Enjoy!!
