The trade show was an absolute disaster. Anyone hoping to actually find anything useful was disappointed. It was overcrowded, disorganized, and frankly, low-quality. Not a single decent jeweler in sight—just two booths full of cheap suits, and even then, there wasn't a trace of anyone from high-end boutiques on Friday. A complete waste of my time.🙄

Honestly, after reading through everyone's comments on the site, I'm actually relieved I didn't go. I was seriously considering making the trip just for this expo! The one in NYC was decent enough, though it felt pretty overcrowded, and there were so many exhibitors coming all the way from the Midwest. Maybe that’s why things went a bit sideways back in the Midwest... such a shame.

By the way, does anyone know how much lead time you really need before the wedding to get a dress tailored perfectly to your measurements? Also, is it even possible to change your mind about a dress deposit a couple of months out? If anyone has dealt with that, I'd really appreciate the insight. 🙂

Angela Davis74 said:The town is called Rustica... a bit clumsy of me. She prepares them by the tray; you get 30 pastries—15 varieties, two of each—weighing roughly 1.2 kg. A single tray costs $23. You can borrow her sturdy trays with lids and return them later, which is convenient since I have no use for extra Tupperware. They are available for purchase at $1.75 per unit. I'll report back on the flavor once I've sampled them, but my friend swears by them. She is incredibly picky, so I trust her judgment. I just want my sugar fix, so I'll head there 😬 😬

I'm also on the hunt for some delicious treats! 🙂
If you don't mind, could you send me the contact info via DM?

So, I finally tried those cookies from that lady over in Ivankov, and man, they are incredible... though they’re pretty massive. You only get about 30 pieces in a pound, and she’s got like 25 different kinds to choose from.
But seriously, the smell? Divine. And they’re just so soft and delicious—pure bliss. We ended up going with her selection.
Anyway, they go for $1.80 a piece.

I also sampled some treats at the Buccell bakery down in South NYC. They weren't bad either, honestly. It's actually kind of practical since she makes 13 varieties with about 5 pieces per type, so you end up getting over 60 pieces in a pound. A pound there is $23.

I guess it just comes down to what you're looking for, really.

Morgan Stewart50 said:Honestly, I have to admit that I walked away feeling quite disappointed after visiting the wedding expo in Indianapolis. The absolute highlight of my day—the one thing that truly brightened my spirits—was that singing competition they held for the couples! They were all such charming, lovely people, weren't they? But as for the expo itself, I feel it was somewhat doomed from the start, primarily because they decided to mash together wedding planning with baby gear and children's products... It felt so disjointed! On top of that, there were so few vendors to browse through; the whole affair just seemed rather lackluster and underwhelming to me...😢

I'm with you on that,,, I went in thinking there’d be way more vendors, especially since the venue looked huge, but everything was just cluttered and pointless,,, the only decent things I spotted were some table decor pieces,,, and yeah,,, plus I walked away with a mountain of brochures that were mostly duplicates, so I basically just filled up my trash can at home🙂
Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed too... there were only three booths total! And two of those were just wedding dresses 😁
. I have no idea why it was such a letdown... I was really hoping to browse some rings and maybe snag a good deal, but it was just a waste of time 😠😕[/QUOTE

You know, if you're still looking for rings, I might actually be able to help you out with that! If you want, send me your email and I can pass along my cell number. We can probably get everything sorted out for you at a really great price. They told me I wasn't supposed to post advertisements here, so I'll just leave it at that—let me know if you're interested! Best,
I ended up filling my bin too... though I have to admit, I actually managed to track down a flower shop 😁

Plus, this guy from Savannah was super helpful and walked me through everything we needed to do... so, yeah... I guess our trip wasn't a total waste of gas. Still, it kind of sucks that the fair was such a tiny little thing.

I am scheduled to visit that bakery owner this week to get the specifics. I have contacts at two other shops as well. I don't have those details on hand right now, but I will update you once I do.

Man, we were shocked when we saw there wasn't a SINGLE jewelry vendor. Most of those few exhibitors were just from Indianapolis, the big city, or Savannah. We did like one booth with invitations right at the entrance, though, and that one flower shop from Savannah.
As for Arbanas, he actually stopped to chat with me twice on Sunday for at least 15 minutes total. I really liked him; the guy is a seasoned pro, and his suit tailoring is incredible. I’m not delusional enough to think he’s sewing everything himself, but the man clearly knows his craft and how to present it. Arbanas will definitely be back.

Honestly, from the moment I saw Arbanas’s suits in the window display, I knew he had to be wearing one of them.. 😍 It’s just frustrating he wasn't there on Friday, since getting to Indianapolis over the weekend was out of the question for me. No matter.. we will head straight to the store next time.. 😁

I was honestly blown away by those florists over in Savannah; the ones here in Indianapolis couldn't even hold a candle to them. Once I finally nail down a venue, I’m going to start playing around with different combos.🙂 I am so ready. Honestly though, the rest of the selection was a total disaster. I basically walked in, spent ten minutes looking, and then just bailed. Thank God I don't live too far from there.

I am telling you, the flower shops in Savannah are fantastic. It isn't just my opinion; it's a fact. Plus, getting a ride to the restaurant is either free or incredibly cheap...🙂I'll go with the ones that were right by the entrance. I don't want that glass version, though; I'll take the one with the wrought iron candle holders...

Hey guys, I need some help here... which photographers did you all end up booking for your weddings?
It’s driving me crazy because I can't find a single thing online about my own guy...

The Krizmanić family studio. They’re probably the most famous outfit in Columbus, and honestly, their calendar is booked so far in advance it's almost ridiculous, haha! I mean, they are incredibly high in demand... though I can't quite place where you're calling in from exactly?

The Krizmanić Photography family studio is truly something else. They’re probably the most famous photographers in Columbus, and honestly, their calendar is booked so far in advance it feels like you need to schedule a session years ahead of time, haha! I mean, they are just incredibly high in demand... though I can't quite put my finger on where all their clients are coming from specifically...

See, that’s really just a matter of personal taste. I actually had the chance to look at some work from Krizmanić Photography, and honestly? The DVD was great, but the actual photos... not so much. I don't know—everything with the wedding shots felt like it was coming out of the same mold, just the same old poses over and over again. It felt kind of lackluster. Then again, who knows? Maybe I just caught them on an off day when they were having a bit of a slump. Either way, for me, the DVD was fine, but the 👍 photos 👎 weren't quite there.

No offense intended, but that's just my honest 🙂 take on his photography style.

Do you actually have any idea what they’re charging or even what kind of service you get for those prices?
