vividhawk72 said:Hey, ladies from Columbus... does anyone happen to know what the damage is at Studio 54? I’m looking for a breakdown on hair (including a trial run), makeup, and a manicure.

I don't have the exact numbers off the top of my head, but I'll definitely look into it for you. It’s certainly way more affordable than what they charge in Indianapolis—no question there. My guess is makeup runs somewhere around $100 or so (usually under $200), though hair prices really depend on the style you're going for. For my own event, I went with an updo—nothing quite as intense as a full bridal look—and I paid $47. Adding a clip-in ponytail was about the same price... and honestly, those things stay in great shape for almost a whole week, so it's worth it!

Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up those little car flowers without getting totally ripped off?
I spotted some in Miami, but they were $1.75, which is just insane to pay for such nonsense.
I heard there's a free house over in Indianapolis—has anyone actually been there?

So, does anyone have any fresh takes on the Glasser Hall? I’m dying to hear some actual experiences... I've been scrolling through everything you guys have posted, and it feels like that venue almost never comes up, so I figured I'd just ask. Any impressions?

We went to check out Glasser, but we bailed almost immediately. Maybe I’m being too picky, but what can I say? I'm a woman, and those little details really matter to me 🙂 As for the building and the neighborhood, don't even get me started. Honestly, the venue could be top-tier if they just put a little effort into it. The restroom situation is a total disaster—and look, if I’m not feeling the bathroom, nothing else matters. Plus, the space feels way too cramped; I have zero clue how I’d even make that work. Our host didn't even bother showing us the kitchen because she said it was locked, but at that point, I didn't even care since the rest of the place was such a letdown anyway. The price is $53 (for the first two dinners) and that doesn't even include drinks

A friend of mine went to Glasser last year and honestly, I had such a blast... everything from the food and the decor to the service was just spot on.
Now, word on the street is they’ve bumped up their prices a bit, so I’m still on the fence about going back.

I’m going with Glasser! I’ve been to several weddings there and honestly, I love it every single time—they really know how to decorate the place. You definitely want to aim for a Saturday; everything looks so polished and perfect then. Regarding the restrooms, my non-negotiables are cleanliness, having enough stalls, and making sure they stay stocked with toilet paper, soap, towels, and a mirror 🙂... and all that other stuff. As for the kitchen, I’ve checked it out and it’s totally fine. Sure, it’s small, but who cares? You aren’t the one doing the cooking anyway—that's what the catering staff is for. The food there is fantastic, and I don't recall a single person complaining about it, which is the most important thing. Plus, the bands actually love playing there because the acoustics are great. That matters too.
Look, at the end of the day, it’s about the budget. I’ve looked everywhere, and Glasser is easily my most affordable option, and for me, that’s what counts. If you have a massive budget for fancy venues, go for it. In that case, you can pick absolutely anything you want!!

Man, it was such a disaster with them. Total nightmare. One girl actually had to pick out an entirely new outfit, which is just awful when you’ve already booked something you love. For everyone else, they just tried to patch up those loose sequins and torn lace...😢What a total letdown!

Look, I’m a total sucker for a good deal—price is a huge dealbreaker for me—but hey, everyone’s got their own vibe. For me, that venue just didn't hit the mark at all. Nothing about it really clicked. Plus, I’ve heard some pretty sketchy stuff from other people about their service being a total mess too.

So when is your big day? What kind of deal did you guys manage to pull together? Send me a DM with some details if you don't mind, just so I can get an idea of what you negotiated...

So, what did you end up choosing as your top pick based on everything you wanted?

That’s just the truth. It honestly makes me sick seeing people who shamelessly prey on others just to make a buck. Look, I have no problem paying for something I want, but you expect actual service—not some fake, forced smile plastered on someone's face. Honestly, I would never recommend Isabelle bridal boutique in Indianapolis to anyone. Their customer service is a total disaster.

Al, thanks so much!! The prices seem pretty reasonable. I was actually thinking about heading over there with my bridesmaid to get our hair and makeup done for the wedding. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about them. Honestly though, I’m totally lost when it comes to my hair—it’s mid-length and super curly... I want something swept up, but not like some old-fashioned bun, you know? Just something that stays out of my face, which is my absolute priority. And since we’ll already be there, I might just grab a manicure too... Ha! Maybe we can even score a group discount... ;o))))

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up!!

Hey ladies—I’m new here and hoping we all get along. Quick question: can anyone point me toward a killer makeup artist in Indianapolis? I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding coming up and I have zero leads! 🙄

You know, those guys over by the plaza near the walking path... the ones at the Martindale office... what's their name again?

Anyone interested in some organza bags? I originally planned on using them for wedding favors—little jars of honey tucked inside—but my plans just totally shifted at the last minute... if you want more details, shoot me a DM, otherwise I just ordered them off eBay

Jane did the makeup for Sekin’s wedding party and she was absolutely incredible. I managed to dig up her number in my phone. I really hope she hasn't changed it because I’m definitely going to need her for my own wedding. I'll DM you the number right now!

Does anyone happen to know the capacity of the Lav Hotel in Memphis? Also, I'm curious what their current rates are looking like...

It holds about two hundred—though honestly, it could be a little more or less depending on how they set it up 🤷,,,,but yeah, roughly that much

If you're planning on paying per head for a meal, you're looking at anything from $126.00 up to $79,,,they've got nine different menus to choose from, so you can pick whatever fits your budget

Or, if you just want to rent out a hall, they have options ranging from about $7,500 to $15,000

If you're looking to save some cash on car decorations and boutonnieres, I know a lady just over the border near Kentucky who does them at a great price. The best part? You don't even have to pay until after the wedding is over, and if you have any leftover boutonnieres, she'll actually take them back. It's such a lifesaver!! 🙏🙏🙏
