Keith Jones11 said:Thanks, but I haven't heard of them. I’m looking for someone a bit more modern—I actually asked around yesterday and checked out a few studios in Indianapolis, plus a couple in small towns in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Prices are hovering around $6,000$2167. The only real difference is that some photographers bring their own lighting setups and reflectors for the venue, and they say the price stays the same regardless. Now I'm stuck wondering which way to go. If anyone has experience with specific photographers, let me know! Thanks!

Leon Productions is solid, but man, they aren't cheap either http://www.fotozine.org/?omen=LeonProdukcija
Infinity studio looks pretty interesting based on their website. Pretty cool stuff.
Anić from a small town in Oregon does great work too.

Thanks for the info. Has anyone heard anything about Vision Studio? They have their own website and the name rings a bell. I took a look at their portfolio and the shots look solid. If anyone has experience with them, let me know what they're actually like. Thanks.

Hey there, Slavonka 🙂
I’m heading out to Des Moines this September to be a bridesmaid. I really need some help—can anyone recommend a good hairstylist and a makeup artist? Honestly, if there’s a solid salon that does both 2-in-1, that would be absolutely perfect! Thanks so much

Hey, fellow Slavonkas! I need some serious help here—can anyone give me the lowdown on photographers and videographers in Pittsburgh? Who’s actually legit and worth the money, and who should I definitely steer clear of?

I heard about this one girl who got her hair done by someone over in the Colony area... but I can't remember her name. All I know is she’s pregnant right now.😁

Word on the street is: Ogi Photography just shoots everyone using the exact same template—same old scenarios, just different faces. For some people, it turns out great, but for others, it’s a total disaster.

Ronald Allen3 said:So, does anyone have any fresh takes on the Glasser Hall? I’m dying to hear some actual experiences... I've been scrolling through everything you guys have posted, and it feels like that venue almost never comes up, so I figured I'd just ask. Any impressions?

Might be late to the party here, but here’s my experience:
The hall itself isn't anything special, it's fine. But the food? A total disaster, to put it mildly.
For an entire table, they serve one single platter where the meat is old enough to be a relic, the sliders would kill someone if you threw them, maybe two or three pieces of fried chicken, and three little potato balls. And yeah, one salad plate for the whole group. To top it off, there was one waitress—an older woman who acted like she was running a concentration camp—who was a nightmare, and the "security" staff were just as bad, acting like they owned the place. We paid for the hall until 5 PM, but they started tearing everything down and cleaning up at 4 PM, leaving everyone to leave feeling cheated. Also, people were complaining the beer tasted like water and everything was warm. Who knows where they even keep the kegs.😕
A complete catastrophe and an embarrassment.😂😂😂

No offense intended to anyone, this is just my honest take, hopefully helpful for someone else.

The wedding is on July 11th, so I'll let you guys know how they were!

I’ve been to weddings where they played, and honestly, they’re fine. The setlist wasn't really my vibe, but they play well and the guys are tight. They stick to what the couple wants, so everyone gets what they paid for. The singer—who I actually know as a drummer—has these parts where he uses those small percussion instruments, which is a cool touch. If I had to rate them, I'd give them a 7 out of 10.😁

So, I’m looking for some help here:

Does anyone know where I can pick up some cork bottle stoppers? Also, does anyone have leads on car ribbons?
I checked out Amazon, but they don't carry any purple ones—just the standard white, red, pink, and yellow. None of that works for me. On a side note, if anyone is shopping, there's a huge selection of various reverbs, pads, baskets, tambourines, hair accessories, suspenders, and more available. It’s way cheaper than buying stuff here in Pittsburgh.

Honestly, you should be able to find foam plugs at places like Home Depot, Peavey, or any of those big-box hardware stores... I mean, if they aren't even at a bookstore, maybe check an art supply shop? Somewhere like a DIY/craft store...

Martin Crnković and Dejan are your guys. They're solid.

Hey there, Slavonka!🙂

I could really use some help brainstorming wedding cake ideas!🙂
We aren't having our wedding out in the Midwest, but we're expecting a big group to travel in from there, so we were thinking... maybe they could just bring a portion of the cake with them?😁...finished, Midwestern...😍
Does anyone have any good recommendations for where I can pick up some decent dry cookies? I'm looking somewhere along the route between Pittsburgh and Des Moines. If you know any spots, feel free to shoot me a DM with addresses, phone numbers, or even just a rough idea of prices... thanks!

So, I was just wondering... how do prices for pastries and sweets even work over there? Like, what's the actual damage when you walk into a bakery?😕

Thanks!😉

(they even have a location here in Des Moines, down in the supermarket)

I grabbed some cork stoppers at Peavey, but just a heads-up—watch out because some packs come with different sizes!
As for the large car bows, I usually find them at that wedding supply shop located right behind the supermarket (though I tend to go for beige instead of purple).

Looking for some feedback on the Renic venue in Rockville.
We just finished our consultation, and honestly, the impression was almost too good to be true (which is usually my first red flag). The price seems reasonable, especially considering how much is bundled in—flowers, cakes, pastries, the whole nine yards. They mentioned we could tweak the standard menu for a tiny fee, and if we bring our own drinks, the cost drops even further. Plus, they have great guest accommodations on-site. Every single question we threw at them was met with an enthusiastic "yes, we can make that happen" or "anything is possible." It sounds like a dream, which is exactly why I’m skeptical. I’d much rather someone hit me with a blunt, realistic quote now than offer a sweetheart deal only to hike the final bill by 30% or 40% at the end.
Maybe I’m just being paranoid and there are still honest people out there doing business the right way. Either way, I'd love to hear if anyone has used this hall before.

I won't be able to give you a real answer for another month😁. See, our wedding is exactly one month from today
and I'll have some actual feedback once it's over. We're hosting 350 guests with round tables, and they're handling all the catering and drinks ourselves
.
So, what specifically are you looking to find out?

Four years ago, I dropped off my wedding dress to be tailored at this tiny little boutique in Indianapolis. It was tucked away on a side street near the downtown park. I still have their number, but nobody's picking up. Does anyone know if that shop is even still open?
The dress was made by Kate.

Around that time, if you were walking through that alleyway near the park—you know, the path heading toward the public library—there was a bridal shop there called something like "Perfect Groom" or whatever. Anyway, they actually moved to a longer street, roughly across from that Stephany boutique. Last time I happened to pass by, there was a sign up saying they were closed due to some health issues.😉
