not even mentioning how much stuff you get from each guy or whether they're just ripping you off...
You need to see way more of their portfolios before you can judge who's actually good, which is exactly what me and my crew have been doing over the last two years...
I'll stand by the fact that Studio 69 costs $4667 though we give our friends a deal, whereas if you drop 9k on someone like Smith, you basically get nothing but a headache and a lot of regret, and then out of pure disappointment, people start claiming he's great even though they haven't seen any of his actual work...

You clearly don't have the full story on these prices.

so I can get a sense of your taste. Cheers

Honestly, his work looks pretty standard to me—nothing special about those shots from John, if you're really that curious... I honestly can't tell if you owe John something to be promoting him this hard while trashing everyone else, but seriously, take it down a notch... we don't all have to be John's biggest fans.
As for Studio 69, they don't cost $4667 or whatever amount you mentioned, because I actually reached out to them myself. I told them what I wanted and the guy gave me a quote of $2667, and keep in mind, I'm not even friends with him or anything; I just stumbled upon him on Facebook. So, that theory about "friends getting a discount" doesn't really hold water here...

This really isn't the place for bickering, so I'm done with this conversation... sorry if I offended you, I truly didn't mean to...
Best regards!

I don't have anything going on with him, we barely know each other, I'm just looking at things realistically by comparing him to the rest, whereas you're busy tearing him down and trying to boost others even though you know I'm right. Anyone with actual taste would say he's the best in the business, it's just a shame he's not from Indianapolis so people won't give him the credit he deserves. He'd probably have hundreds of clients working all over the US and abroad if he wasn't stuck in this local bubble. Personally, I think you just lack any sense of style, so maybe take a breather... the truth hurts...

If I actually stood to gain anything by praising someone, believe me, I’d be doing it. But I can't even if I wanted to, since I haven't collaborated with anyone on any major "projects" lately.
It's not that I was bashing him; I simply stated that he doesn't particularly stand out to me. And judging by previous posts, I'm certainly not the only one who feels that way...
If he's great in your eyes, fine, that's your prerogative—but please, get real, he isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea...
And this idea that nobody likes him just because he isn't from VK? That is absolute nonsense. Besides, you seem to be quite the expert on who loves him and who doesn't... and then you claim you barely know him? Whatever. I'm not going to waste my breath arguing about your John. Thank God I already found a photographer, so your desperate little sales pitch and your attempts to tear others down don't affect me at all...

Enjoy!!

I still don't get how you can be this stubborn. Why won't you just accept that other people have different tastes? When we all say we love Marko, Pero, or Duro, but feel like John isn't really anything special—meaning there are better guys out there—that's just our opinion.

I didn't quite follow what Boldan was saying because it made zero sense—if he's pulling in a hundred weddings (I'm assuming per 😲) please explain that math to me, because that would mean he's doing a wedding basically every third day, if I'm not mistaken ☕
.
Whether someone is talented or a total hack was already settled by your very first post in this thread
. And seriously, I'm asking you—please stop humiliating yourself and being so insulting with your posts.

Hey everyone, I could really use some help here. Since I just moved to Indianapolis, I’m still totally lost on who actually does good work around town... my friends all have different opinions and they're all pulling me in different directions, so I figured I'd ask you guys instead.
First off, has anyone here ever been to a wedding at the Admiral Hotel? I'm dying to know if their cakes and desserts are actually any good. If they aren't amazing, I might just order my own... also, what do you think is better—sticking to the classic menu style, or going with something a bit more modern? I hate those old-school heavy dishes, but honestly, I just don't want my guests leaving hungry...
Second, I need recommendations for a hair salon—but please, anyone except the famous David! Also looking for a great makeup artist, an esthetician, a tanning salon, etc...
And one more thing... does anyone know a talented seamstress who can stitch up some little dresses for the junior groomsmen?
Thanks in advance..

My in-laws are getting married at the Admiral, and we’ve decided to stick with our own homemade desserts. I’m not saying their catering is bad—it isn't—but everything feels super heavy on the margarine and honestly, it all tastes pretty much the same.

As for us, we’re going with a classic menu. Since most of our guests aren't from the Midwest, we really want them to get that authentic wedding vibe... plus, you can't go wrong with steak in mushroom sauce—everyone loves that.

Regarding hair, Deni's salon across from Lamut is solid. Style near the big cathedral is also decent, but actually, their best stylist is opening her own place just a bit further down from Style, closer to Bat.

I’m still hunting for the rest of this stuff myself... once I figure it out, I'll let you know.

rowdypanther16 said:Usually, those breaks only happen during mealtime or while the newlyweds are busy posing for photos. In all the weddings I’ve been to, the guys basically just slip outside for a quick smoke or to grab a bite to eat really fast. Honestly, I love that vibe. For my own wedding, they told us we could stay until 5:00 PM since our venue in suburban Chicago allows us to hang out in the hall until then, but the manager also mentioned that if the crowd is still vibing and the energy is high, they’d let us stay even later. My big day is set for May 15th, so if you aren't busy later on, you should totally swing by and listen in! 👍🙂

Thanks, thanks a million! Mine is September 25, 2010.
Where's your venue located?

Thanks Aika, I think I'll just go ahead and order the cookies for everyone at the end, and as for me... well, I'll see how I feel then...

Ladies, where are you planning to take photos? Do you have a spot picked out yet? Our old downtown area is getting a little played out; everyone takes their pictures there...

I'm over at the Admiral in Indianapolis—while a Madima150 is hanging out in Zelenkrov.
Wait, I didn't quite catch which one you were asking about?

velvetpuma61 I have no idea where you found that wedding dress, but if you haven't already, you should definitely check out Nordstrom. They usually throw in a
little something for the flower girl
for free!

My bad, I totally misread the situation—I thought you were talking about Zelenkrov...

Jane, we booked this place last year and here’s the breakdown: it was $28 per person, and that covers your first dinner plus unlimited drinks—think original juices, Coke, Fanta, iced tea, sparkling water, red and white wine, and if I remember right, some bitters and whiskey. As for the food, the dinner includes a few different kinds of meat and potatoes prepared a couple of ways, though I can't recall every single side dish on the tray, but everything is all-you-can-eat. Just keep in mind they won't serve leftovers from the first dinner during the second one. For the second night, you can opt for a traditional stew for $10 per person, or you can bring your own roast lamb or pork, but if you go that route, you'll have to pay $5.00 per person to cover the bread, salads, and the server. If you want linens for the tables, that's an extra $3.25 per chair... Honestly, my memory is getting a little fuzzy on the specifics now. Feel free to ask anything else you need, though, even if I've forgotten a detail or two! Oh, and if you want to do lunch in the hall the next day, that's $17 per person.

Hey girls, so I swung by Vegas yesterday, specifically that spot right behind the Super store. I don't know who gave me the tip, but someone on a forum mentioned everything there was a total steal. Honestly? I am beyond disappointed. I went in looking for those little edible toppers for cake decorations—you know, the ones you put on top of a fancy cake. And get this, that absolute nonsense cost me $93. Like, seriously?? It’s such a joke. And nothing about it felt cheap. Even getting some helium filled for balloons was $1.75. It’s just all so overpriced. Maybe I'm being a bit extra, but in my book, those little figurines are way too expensive, the selection is pretty pathetic, and the staff? Ugh. They barely even give you a nod, let alone actually help you out. So yeah, Vegas gets zero stars from me. 😢

I was just looking for a rough idea...
