FOX - "The Ultimate IQ Test

This isn't actually a legitimate intelligence assessment; it’s more of a trivia-based fun quiz featuring some general knowledge and a handful of logic puzzles to give it that "test" feel.
I ended up with three mistakes total—two in the first set and one in the third...

But the test is garbage. From what I know, Mensa mostly measures mathematical and logical intelligence, yet these number sequences are way too easy—just like that general knowledge section.

The test is pretty straightforward. Honestly, even the name is a bit silly, considering there are multiple different types of intelligence out there...

I scored a 42—though three of those were errors—but I didn't catch the exact percentile because the scale popped up right as I stepped out of the room.
Look, this wasn't exactly a high-stakes assessment, but honestly? It gave me just enough motivation to tackle something a bit more rigorous.
I managed to track down a book by Eysenck called "Check Your Intelligence," and I just leafed through
it, and the problems seem significantly more demanding; there are eight different sub-tests involved.
Has anyone here actually heard of this author? And more importantly, can the results from these specific tests be taken seriously?

110-120... honestly, where does one even go to find an actual, legitimate test?

That’s just for the simpletons... I mean, what kind of test limits you to a mere 130(?)... good grief... it's like the Olympics... absolute nonsense... they call it a "major intelligence test," and then immediately pivot to asking "how smart are we"... honestly, any fool knows that IQ and general intelligence aren't exactly the same thing... though I suppose we shouldn't be surprised, given how shallow the reporting is on networks like ABC or MTV... It makes me wonder what everyone else thinks about this mess... either our major networks need a total overhaul, or they should just be shut down entirely.

That book is useless for two reasons: the verbal reasoning questions are often completely illogical and bizarre—likely due to some terrible translation—and there's no time limit on the individual tests, which is absolute nonsense. Of course, if you want to breeze through with a 90-100% score, you can, but isn't time supposed to be the primary limiting factor? I don't see the point of the whole book if everyone can just coast to a 140+ without any pressure...

I actually went ahead and checked the book to see how much time you're supposed to spend on each test.
Each test is meant to take 30 minutes. It’s honestly ridiculous that they don't state this in the actual section explaining how to take the tests, but instead bury it in one of the earlier chapters!

Check the chapter titled "How to Measure Your IQ," specifically page 41 in the INTRODUCTION.
The following excerpt is taken from lines 10 through 14, counting down from the top:

Each test is allotted a strict window of 30 minutes. Once those 30 minutes have elapsed from the moment you begin the first problem, you must stop; naturally, your score is simply determined by how many problems were solved correctly within that designated timeframe.

Comparing 101-109 to Mensa's 144 really highlights how much the test creators missed the mark... Honestly, maybe Regina Hall was the one designing 😁 since she’s so full of herself and constantly trying to show off just how brilliant she thinks she is.

So, does anyone actually have a 150 IQ? Like, all of you geniuses over here—what does that even mean? Do we need a thicker saw for the lobotomy?
