feralmoose32 said:Chris Sanchez11 - They’re all lovely, really, but I feel like they’re missing a certain... something. Then again, I can't stand it when they're overdone, but these? These feel just a little too plain for my taste...

You know what actually stresses me out? I just want this custom piece to turn out exactly as perfect as it looks in the pictures—you know, that flawless vision—and I'm honestly terrified that nobody is going to nail it quite right... I have such a specific idea of perfection in my head... Honestly, looking at photos from girls online, I've barely seen anyone who actually gets it right, mostly because I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist about these things...

Exactly!
I want flawless edges! Like, perfectly smooth—sharp corners, everything. My anxiety is kicking in thinking it won't turn out that way, even though a friend is making it and she's guaranteed it'll be fine. Plus, I've seen her cakes before, so there really shouldn't be any reason to worry.

But honestly, I have no clue what the final result should actually look like.
The ones I posted are pretty much what you described; they're okay and cute, but something's lacking... 😢

All I want is a simple, elegant cake without all the tacky stuff. :blue_flower:
Guess I'm just being way too picky...🙄

Haha; I actually already posted about her before—Katie's Sweets.
Honestly, all her treats are amazing. 😍

Aha... my bad—I can't quite keep track of everyone's business at this point 🤣

So, when exactly is that wedding happening? I want to see how much it ends up costing you... just so I can figure out if I should go ahead and get my order in too 🤣

Hey everyone... I was hoping one of you might be able to point me in the right direction... Does anyone have recommendations for someone who makes really great birthday cakes? I’m looking for those authentic, homemade-style cakes—not the stuff you get from big commercial bakeries that's basically just three pounds of margarine and ten pounds of sugar!!! If you know someone in the Tampa or Orlando area (or anywhere nearby), could you please send me their number via PM? Thanks so much!

I'm not sure what the scene is like right where you are, but there's this girl in a small town in Iowa near Des Moines who actually does this full-time; she runs her own little bakery business called S... S... and honestly, her work is just fantastic, whether it's all sorts of cookies or elaborate cakes.
She made some treats and cakes for me once and everyone was absolutely blown away, so now I still drop by whenever I can, and you can always order sweets for any occasion CHECK IT OUT so maybe try reaching out to her—she might even deliver outside the local area.

Memphis - Delicije makes these incredibly delicious, beautifully decorated cookies...
Columbus - Figaro - that's where I always pick mine up. They are truly wonderful and just as lovely to look at...
In Indianapolis, I actually know this sweet lady in a small town in Ohio who makes them; if you're interested, I can ask a friend for her number! She provided them for weddings, and they are just genuine, homemade treats...if you want her contact info, just shoot me a private message and I'll reach out to her for you.

After my wedding wrapped up, the feedback was pretty much always the same pattern: everyone would rave about the music first, then move on to the cake and those little pastries, and only after all that would they mention the actual food—which, to be fair, was absolutely delicious too...

The cake itself came from a local bakery called Sweet Treats, and since it was such a rich parfait style, a few guests actually thought it was made of ice cream.
As for the cookies and sweets, we picked them up from Casnar's!

Hey ladies
My wedding is set for September 1st, 2009. My fiancé and I actually went out today to finalize the cake and dessert orders. Since our family has always had great experiences with the treats from www.bakery-delights.com, we decided to order everything through them.
We're hosting 450 guests, so we went with a ring-shaped tiered cake made up of 15 smaller cakes, plus about 60 kg of desserts that look absolutely incredible...
So, yeah. That's my update.

Imagine some woman refusing to buy a wedding cake—only to show up to her own ceremony wearing a bright yellow cocktail dress and matching yellow lipstick... honestly, it’s just tragic—I have no idea how she can live with herself!

By the way, how many pounds of dessert are they usually serving there?

Has anyone here ordered a cake from Sweet Secret? We’re looking at a fruit-based one for our June wedding. We chatted with them at a local expo, but if anyone has some actual experience to share, it would certainly make our decision a bit easier...

Finally found something I’m actually vibing with—now the struggle is deciding which one. 🙄

The first one is stunning because it’s got such a unique look 😍—though the colors won't be exact, I'm thinking a sleek black and white combo instead. And let's ditch the glitter entirely; that's just not my thing. http://www.cakethat.com.au/bowe%20001t.jpg

Then there's this one. It’s a total classic, maybe even a little basic, but man... it's gorgeous.
