Svjetlosna said:Thank God, I’ve finally shaken off all that suffering! I’ve surrendered myself to joy... honestly, it’s a much better way to live!🙂 🙂 🙂

You’re just drifting!
Just because you think you’ve landed on the "joy" side of things right now doesn't mean you're going to stay there forever...

Let me break this down for you;
any individual who experiences joy under certain circumstances is inevitably going to feel pain too, because that's just how it works. As long as there is still SOMEONE out there—someone who chooses to lean into one or the other, someone who actually has the capacity to choose—then both possibilities are always going to be part of the game.
As long as life exists—and let's face it, life is eternal—there’s going to be suffering.
The only real way out of this whole mess is the disappearance of the SUFFERERS themselves... basically, the end of any subject capable of feeling the relationship between joy and pain.
Once that happens, everything left over is just life existing exactly as it is, purely by itself...

I can tell you actually know your stuff when it comes to Buddhist doctrine. I just really hope you don't get stuck dwelling on the conceptual definitions of everything, because those are just words on a page—which, if you're paying attention, are miles and miles away from the actual, unspeakable truth where everything just *is*, regardless of all these little guiding concepts that aren't even permanent things themselves, they just exist...

Good grief, man...

You actually managed to write something clearly for once, without all that awkward phrasing or those weird, made-up words you usually throw around.

I have to ask—how did you pull this off? How did you manage to be so coherent here when, in nine out of ten other posts, you’re being vague, abrasive, and just generally difficult to follow?

Have you been practicing lately? 🙂

It’s like how you can chat away so easily with that one lady from the neighborhood, but when it comes to the rest of us...

Well, you just won't do it. I honestly don't know what gets into you. 😈

You're constantly putting up a fight. 😁

so how on earth did you manage to pull this off so well—or should I say, how do you manage to be so vague, obnoxious, and completely incoherent in 9 out of 10 of your posts compared to right here?
have you been practicing this lately or something?🙂
it’s just like how you love to charm that lady Divanis, but you won't do it for any of the rest of us...
but you won't, because god knows what kind of demon is driving you...😈
you're constantly putting up a fight against everyone...😁
👋

Well, my dear angry man, after I sat here and chewed over this little quote of yours just so I could give you a response straight from another thread;

May everyone get a double dose of whatever sickness they're suffering from!

So, what you're saying is you rely on those old religious tactics 😁—using threats and theological lectures about this world or the next 😉
.
I can certainly see a bit of a ruthless dictator in you, 😉.

I really feel the need to offer a little metaphysical warning here:

Let evil fall upon the one who harbors evil thoughts!

Which, in your specific case...

...let the sickness find its way back to the one spreading the virus. 🙂

Maybe I’ll just ask this in a way that sounds a little unrefined...

But, are emotions actually one of the primary tools for "understanding" things? At least during that initial phase where you're stuck in the cycle—you know, that whole loop of good and evil stuff? Like, aren't emotions the very thing that pushes us forward into experience and action? Even if we mess up along the way, maybe it's better to just move, right? To not just sit there doing nothing?

Is it actually a bad idea at the start to try and detach from yourself or kill off all your stress? Is it wrong to stop living life to the fullest just because we're trying to act all "spiritual"?

I'm asking because, in my view of how things work, true perfection is about being in harmony with the world around us—and everything inside us, too. It isn't about disconnecting from reality by experiencing everything through this weird, emotionless lens.

I absolutely agree... I suppose that’s what all these theories are actually trying to unify... that’s the whole point of science, isn't it?

But what I really want to say—and you kind of baited me into it with that little "this might sound amateur" disclaimer—is that we don't need to act like we're at some high-level academic summit here. My respect to anyone who feels that way, though.
Honestly, I wish people would just speak more openly. Stop hiding behind their intellect or ducking behind someone else's theories that we all basically already know... I’d much rather they write about what they’re actually experiencing internally. After all, that’s the entire purpose of those theories anyway... to help us become one with everything.
Sending love to everyone!

Sending love to you all!

I will offer a brief digression here, simply because I have no desire to be lumped in with the rest of you, given that I advocate for a theory that stands in direct opposition to yours.

To put it bluntly: a human being is an isolated entity endowed with the gift of consciousness. Our very existence is a negation of the natural order of things. Furthermore, this desperate craving for "reunification" with the whole could easily be reduced to nothing more than a childish longing to return to the safety of the womb.

That is all from me. 👋

Just because you're on one side right now doesn't mean you'll stay there forever.

Let me clarify;
A person who experiences joy under certain conditions will inevitably experience suffering too. I guess as long as there is still SOMEONE out there making choices—someone who can choose to align with one side or the other—both possibilities remain on the table.
As long as life exists, and life is eternal, there will be suffering.
The only way out of all this is the disappearance of the SUFFERER—that is, the subject capable of feeling the relationship between one thing or another.
Everything left after that is just life being what it is, by itself.

Sure... that’s basically the definition of absolute realization. Though, while we're operating at this level, the amount of misery or satisfaction in our daily lives shows us the results of our choices. I suppose if someone is generally happy with their life, it means they're on the right track. And obviously, the opposite is true: if there's constant suffering and dissatisfaction, something has to change. You can't expect a different result if you keep using the exact same formula!
So, the truth is... suffering and exhaustion exist as long as there is separation. It vanishes once you reach understanding...
And joy... joy comes from realizing... that in every single moment, everything is absolutely fine. Everything is exactly as it should be, and there isn't anything, absolutely nothing, to fear... because it's all made of pure love.
That's why I'm happy. 😁

First off, hey everyone. This is my first time jumping into a thread on this forum. 🙂

One side effect of how karma works is that it trains your consciousness to actually "control" your actions, rather than letting those actions run wild and control you later. People always ask how you can spot the nature of an event or an action before it happens, instead of playing catch-up once the damage is already done. It’s dead simple: you just have to think carefully about everything—especially the stuff you’re planning to pull off.

Everyone carries what you’d call a "conscience." It’s usually pretty damn accurate at telling you exactly what kind of mess you're making, provided you're being honest with yourself and not just lying to cover your own tracks. At its core, the blueprint of karma is a straightforward law. If you want to handle the cause-and-effect side of things, all you really need is constant awareness and some actual self-honesty.

It’s like what the old Greek philosophers used to say: we get to choose if we want to be like Prometheus—the guys who think through things before acting so they can stay in the driver's seat of their own lives—or if we’ll be more like Epimetheus, the ones who just act first and then try to learn from the massive screw-ups afterward.

The choice is ours, along with every single good or bad consequence that comes with it.

One byproduct of karma might be training our awareness so we actually "control" our actions, rather than letting them control us. The real question is how to spot the nature of an event or action ahead of time, instead of looking backward after the damage is already done. It seems pretty simple: just think carefully about everything, especially the things we intend to do.

We all have what I suppose could be called a "conscience." If we’re being honest with ourselves and not just lying to get by, that voice usually tells us exactly what kind of trouble we're getting into. So, maybe karma’s blueprint is actually quite straightforward. To manage cause and effect, you basically just need constant self-awareness and some brutal honesty.

Like the old Greek philosophers used to say, we can choose to be like Prometheus—the ones who think before they act and take charge of their consequences—or we can be like Epimetheus, acting first and then desperately trying to learn from the mess we made.

The choice is ours, I guess, along with all the good and bad fallout that comes with it.

Welcome aboard! It's good to have you here. 😁
I agree, though I think the issue goes much deeper than just the visible consequences... We deal with circumstances we didn't pick but have to endure. Those moments force us to grow and discover strengths we didn't even know we had until life forces our hand. You don't realize your own capacity until a massive challenge pushes you to dig deep. Usually, you only understand why those hardships happened after the fact.
In India, they call this unchangeable karma... like a mandatory checkpoint you have to pass through. It’s something that reshapes our character on a subconscious level. It makes me think of Saturn.... anyway, Shani !!!

The thing is, most people just recite that poor little definition from memory without actually understanding it.

Both that uneducated guy at the big enlightenment school and our friend Klimakos have mumbled it by heart, wouldn't you agree, truth seeker?

His whole sense of self only holds up because it’s reflecting his own version of God.
If our dear Klimakos were crawling on all fours through the darkness and dust of Christ's cave, don't you think he might eventually stumble upon the cloak of his Peggy?

How on earth is someone like that supposed to pull off the DISAPPEARANCE OF THE DUCKS?👋

It basically means we'll probably deal with plenty more stuff that triggers either grief or joy, for both of us... but I guess that doesn't really matter. What matters is how it hits us... what we actually take away from it...

You know, that whole idea... that nothing happens without eventually serving our own ultimate well-being...👍

Where would someone like that even perform such a vanishing act?👋 [/B]

Yeah... I've never been much for definitions anyway... I prefer lived experience...
