Honestly, it's usually the loudest people who push that narrative, constantly shoving their little theories and endless chatter down everyone else's throats. 😁

Yeah, sure, because I'm just such a positive, noble, and fulfilled soul even though I'm basically running away from everything in sight. Love is just practically exploding out of me with every breath and every single word I type. 😳 🤣

Whatever. 🥳

Man, why’d you delete that post? Now I’m just gonna end up talking to myself because I haven't been hanging out with 🙂

Whatever. 🥳

Honestly, you have this way of making people fond of you, even with those extremist views of yours. 😁 There’s gotta be a soft, golden heart hidden somewhere behind that rough exterior. 😛 🤣

I suspect the inmates at San Quentin wouldn't exactly find much common ground with your theory.

Hey, I'm not the one saying it—it's just what everyone else is saying. 😁

Btw, looks like we turned this thread into a total free-for-all chat (at least until the mods come to clean us out).

By the way, you notice this thread has basically turned into a casual chatroom (at least until the mods decide to wipe us out).

In that case, tell me: do you actually like everyone? Your first answer felt a little too diplomatic for my liking. 😉

What kind of "issues" are we even talking about here?

I am certainly not delusional enough to claim I like everyone.

Enchantress said:You have this uncanny way of being genuinely endearing, even when you're peddling those extremist views of yours. 😁 Surely, beneath that abrasive exterior, there lies a tender and noble heart. 😛 🤣

I suppose the more abrasive a man is toward a woman, the more she tends to fall for him.

Classic. 😁

A classic. 😁

Oh, please... I’m actually such a sensitive, soft-hearted, hopeless romantic at my core. Who wouldn't want a soul like mine? 😳 😍

Rough, yet somehow incredibly sensitive at the same time. 😍 🤣

Actually, my first response was the honest one. 🙂
I think "affection" is a much more accurate way to describe how I feel about humanity than saying I "love" people. 😉

Loving the concept of humanity as an ideal? That’s easy—anyone can do that. The real challenge is actually liking every single individual person. Can you really say you love people if you don't care for every single person out there? Personally, I can't love everyone. At most, I try to offer acceptance, and even that can be a struggle sometimes. 😉

"Agape" feels like a much more accurate way to describe what I feel for people than just calling it "love." 😉

Loving "humanity" as some grand, abstract concept is easy. Anyone can do it. It’s a lofty ideal that requires zero actual effort. The real problem starts when you try to apply that sentiment to every single individual person you encounter. Can someone truly claim to love people if they don't actually like every person they meet? Personally, I can't. That sounds exhausting. The absolute most I can offer is basic acceptance—and even that feels like a struggle for me sometimes. 😉

You're overthinking things a bit, but honestly, I'm on board with your logic. 👋

Why... I mean, it’s not as if you lose anything by being kind... quite the opposite, really...

I suspect that the sense of affection Enchantress mentioned isn't actually dependent on "love" in the grand sense. Think about it: when you have a falling out with a best friend over something trivial—it doesn't even have to be a massive blowout—they might not be your favorite person for a little while, but if the bond is genuine, you still know you care about them even when you're angry. You might not want to admit it during those more... intense moments, of course. Or think back to being kids and fighting with a sibling; you never truly convinced yourself that you didn't love them, at least not for long.

Not everyone is dear to me, but I make an effort not to actively dislike them... as a starting point, anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no hippie...😳 😉

But hey, nobody’s going to ban me no matter how hard I try. 😢

That's just how it goes—I'll never earn any respect in this online community if I keep trolling everyone without getting kicked out. 🙂

But whatever, I guess being this much of a perfect specimen comes with a heavy price to pay. 🥳

I feel like that sense of affection Enchantress was talking about isn't actually dependent on "love." Think about it—when you get into a fight with your best friend over something stupid, it doesn't have to be some massive blowout. You might not want to hang out with them for a bit, but if you’re truly tight, even when you're pissed off, you still know deep down that you care about them. Even if you won't admit it in the heat of the moment... or think back to being kids and fighting with your brother or sister; you never actually convinced yourself that you didn't love them, at least not for long.

Not everyone is dear to me, but I try my best not to actively dislike people... at least as a starting point.

It's not like I'm some hippie, though...😳 😉

Look, you need to wrap your head around something here.
Here's the deal:
1) You're a woman
2) Women aren't always the most logical creatures
3) Not all women are like that, though

So, the conclusion is pretty obvious:
4) None of that logic applies to everyone perfectly.☕

Basically, some people don't need all this heavy philosophy regarding human connection just to find meaning in their lives.☕

Just be honest with your old man, do you enjoy watching those soap operas on TV? 😳 😁
