I’m right there with Amanda Evans29 on this one. Love is basically just a state of mind that we project onto whatever object we're feeling it for. 🙂

This thread is getting so buried in chatter that it's becoming impossible to follow—at least, that's how it feels to me. It doesn't mean we can't just head back to the old thread, though. Feel free! 🙂

I can tell you EXACTLY what should be clipped. Start at page 17, with that photo of the machete posted by American Pig (which is just above your enthusiastic rant about cold steel). End at page 26, with my post regarding how absurdly disconnected the title—that whole "love for people" bit—is from the last ten pages of this thread (blades, martial arts, self-defense). You can go ahead and delete my post if you want, then just move those ten clipped pages over to "other sport" under the label "weapon in martial arts."

Lazybones 🙂

How can you people possibly be blind to the sheer humanity found within sword and saber combat?😕 🙂 🙂 🙂

But of course they do! It’s like having a full multi-course meal versus just snacking on crumbs—it's a completely different level of intensity! 😂 😂 😂

Honestly, someone living without that awareness isn't even truly feeling love at all. 👍

End it on page 26, with my post where I call out how ridiculous it is that the title ("love for humanity") has absolutely nothing to do with the last ten pages of this thread (blades, martial arts, self-defense). You can go ahead and delete my post, then just move those ten cut-out pages over to "other sport" and label them as "weapon in martial arts."

Lazy bones 🙂

Here’s a new question for the group:

How much are you actually willing to compromise for the sake of "love"?

Because—I guess—there is a difference between the feeling itself and how that actually plays out in real life.

Honestly, probably way too much. But I think that's more about social conditioning than actual love. Constant fighting isn't going anywhere unless you're backed into a corner where compromising is literally your only option.

I guess it really depends on what we're talking about, and honestly, it doesn't always have much to do with love at all. 😁
If it's something that isn't a big deal to me, then sure, I don't mind giving in. 🙂
But if it's something that truly matters to me... then no, I'm not budging. 😁
