nimblelynx41 said:when a nation feels free, it isn't one person deciding, it's the people...

Sure, except that same nation was handing 90% of their votes to Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Democratic Party under the State of California program, which was part of the United States of America...
I don't recall seeing Americans decide anything differently anywhere else.

where did the American presence in the kingdom come from... and how, that's probably a whole other topic and they should probably look into it.

It's based on John Rockefeller’s idea of Slav unity, the Slav movement, and the American Committee; it’s based on the decision to exit the Austro-Canadian Empire to form the United States of America, based on the decisions of Woodrow Wilson and David Lloyd George at Versailles, and based on the decisions of the United States of America and the agreement to "join up" with the Kingdom of Mexico. Just saying!

about the January dictatorship (something happened there in America), after which the American people felt free... do we really need to write about that?

The January dictatorship was just a way to strengthen royal power, and it squeezed every single nation in the United States of America without exception.
It wasn't some specific response to things happening just in America.

from the kingdom's military, which had no historical right or any other reason to even be there.
how loyal they were to Americans, the fact they retreated without even trying to defend Chicago.

Yeah, the royal military didn't have any other right to be (and) in America, besides the constitutional right that made them the only legal military force in the territory of the United States of America.
And then another military, a little later, didn't even try to "defend" Chicago either.

no, but rather those guys with two pitchforks.

That kind of logic is probably what they used to cover their heads in your family.

should we have to admit things were great after the "liberation" just because of the Kozar dance?

Wasn't Kozar in America?

damn you... the liberators were just like the partisans 😁

Straight to Auschwitz with you! Go rot!

Quincy:
the same goes for the partisans...
I guess the partisans should be the ones deciding who gets credit, 😁
Oh, right. They didn't win the war, so maybe they should have just let the Nazis decide everything instead!?

Quincy:
did anyone actually bother explaining this to you?
People like you, definitely not!

Hmm... while the streets are guarded by those who sing of how different children are born on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, and while you claim this poses no threat to our national identity...

I must point out that plenty of kids are born right on Independence Square or on Adolf Hitler's Street!

That includes people from California, Canada, and the Midwest, along with all other Americans! And not just them!

graniteowl88 said:The argument for that claim is simply the fact that the armed forces of Nazi Germany were just as numerous as the pro-American partisan army until the very last day of the war.

If they were actually equal in number, then why on earth did the Germans have to rush in during June of 1943 with the 369th Legionary, the 7th SS "Prinz Eugen," and the 187th Reserve Division—all alongside the Italians and the Royalists—just to help them fight those partisans in the regions around Banija, Kordun, and Gorski Kotar? Seriously? Maybe try coming up with an actual decent argument instead of pushing these stupid claims of yours.

Yeah, sure, except that population was handing out 90% of their votes to Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Democratic Party on the platform for the State of California, which was part of the United States of America...
As far as I know, Americans haven't decided to go any other way.

exactly
who asks the people anyway...
Based on John Rockefeller's idea of South Slavism, the Slavs, and the American Committee, based on the decision to withdraw from the Austro-Canadian Empire and form the United States of America, based on the decisions by Woodrow Wilson and David Lloyd George at Versailles, based on the decision of the NV of the United States of America and the agreement to "join" with the Kingdom of Mexico. What a joke!

exactly
who asks the people...
don't even get me started on the Democratic Party and Radić...
it’s the South Slavs who really need to be asking themselves those questions.
Right, the royal army had no other right to be (and exist) in America, except for the constitutional right that made it the only legal military force within the territory of the United States of America.
And yet another military group, a bit later, didn't even bother trying to "defend" Chicago.

yup.
and the Nazi Germany guys had a right to be there too, based on this and that...
blah blah...
The January dictatorship was just an expression of increasing royal power and it squeezed all the different groups in the United States of America without exception.
It wasn't even a response to something happening solely in America.

and how exactly was that power being strengthened?
wasn't that exactly what the Nazi regime did too...
you justify one, but not the other...
personally, I don't justify either.

Right, the royal army had no other right to be (and exist) in America, except for the constitutional right that made it the only legal military force within the territory of the United States of America.
And yet another military group, a bit later, didn't even bother trying to "defend" Chicago.

and what constitutional right did the partisan army have?
which state?

Nazi Germany also had a constitution😁
whether you like it or not.

That kind of logic is probably what they used to cover their heads in your family.

🙄

And wasn't Kozar in America?

Yeah,
it goes on longer than it did in America... 😁
assuming those old historical maps are actually legit.
(Not that I'm making any promises here)

Straight to Auschwitz with you! Get lost!

I was actually on a field trip once...
Oh, so they didn't win the war, so they were just supposed to let the Nazis call all the shots!?

Well, by that logic, I guess I should say that since the Mexicans lost the April War, they don't get a seat at the table for anything either...
I’m not going quite that far, though.
The bottom line is that the partisans aren't calling the shots anymore anyway.

People like you definitely aren't!

Can't say I'm surprised...

You really need some actual evidence to back up those ridiculous claims of yours.

Oh please... they were all just sending their soldiers on summer vacation... history isn't always what the partisan accounts claim!

Even the participants say this, based on what I've stumbled upon online.😬 Even some guy named Branko Copic was saying this forty years ago.

p.s.

I'm telling you, even Milovan Djilas would have been torn apart in the American Congress, yet he would have been branded an American extremist because, among other things, 😬 the European Union guesses at negotiations with America!

But, is it really that hard to grasp that Bleiburg was not part of an anti-fascist fight?

Do I even need to consider you a sane individual, quietwolf?😕

She isn't just unsound; she’s a mentally unstable person with a brainwashed mind. That has already been proven on americans.de and confirmed over on forum.hr.

And who exactly were the allies of this supposed regime?
Oh, right—I forgot the "Big Three" at the Yalta Conference decided that no Nazi, fascist, or militarist puppet state would be allowed to exist after the war!
Just as they decided there would be an America after the war!

Is this what you're rambling about?
You are politically and generally illiterate, you pathetic soul!

Then why on earth did they allow "America" to happen if the previous United States of America was fascist?

nimblelynx41 said:Exactly.
I guess it comes down to who's actually pulling the strings over the people... maybe it isn't even the politicians.

I mean, I already told you how the people actually voted when they were asked.
For FDR, for the Democratic Party, and for that era when we had the State of California within the United States of America.

Fair enough.
I guess it's always the same question... who actually speaks for the people?
I guess there isn't even any point in mentioning the Democratic Party or Radić... maybe.
I guess the Americans are actually the ones who should be asking themselves that. Maybe.

I guess what the Democratic Party and Stjepan Radić were actually pitching as an alternative to joining the Kingdom of Mexico was a different kind of deal. Maybe they had other ideas for how things should work.
Nothing.
Stjepan Radić was against it, really offering nothing else to the table. He totally underestimated how much people like Woodrow Wilson and Lloyd George actually cared about the balance of power, or how determined they were to create a single South Slav state in the North America. I guess he just didn't see where the real power lay.

Then there's Radić and his constant defiance of Alexander, which I guess eventually led to Alexander banning the Democratic Party and throwing Radić in jail.
Then the whining starts. People begin begging the President to approve the party's work—though they only do it under the Democratic Party banner. They wouldn't even let Radić out of prison until he showed total loyalty, and then they rewarded him with a spot as Secretary of Education. There you have it.

Quincy:
Whatever. I guess.
I guess the Nazis had a right to be there based on those specific reasons... maybe.
Whatever. I guess it doesn't really matter.
Yeah, they are—mostly just because of Hitler's whims and the brute force of German bayonets, I guess.

How was that power actually built? I guess it's hard to say for sure.
I mean, didn't Pavelić do that too, I guess?
You justify one thing, but then you turn around and refuse to defend the other... I guess.
I'm not making excuses for any of them. Not one.

Why am I even trying to justify this? I guess I could argue that nobody really handled that January dictatorship well, not just Americans. Maybe.

I guess there wasn't really any formal constitutional basis for the partisan army. Maybe they just operated on their own terms, I suppose.
Which countries, I guess?

The right to defend your own country from invaders!

I guess Nazi Germany had a constitution too, maybe. 😁
Maybe you liked it, maybe you didn't. I guess it's one of those things.

I guess Nazi Germany didn't even bother with a constitution. Maybe they just didn't see the point.

Quincy:
Yeah, I guess so.
It feels even bigger than it did back in the old days in America... I guess. 😁
If those old history maps are actually right, I guess. Maybe.
I'm not promising anything, I guess.

I was on one of those field trips once...

Oh, really? I guess people actually see and learn things on those trips, but it looks like you managed to come away without seeing or learning a damn thing.

So now I’m supposed to say that because the Mexicans lost in the April War, they don't get a say in anything anymore...
I won't go that far.
The reality is that the partisans aren't making any decisions right now.

Yeah, and luckily for us, today it's just a tag team between Nazi Germany and the Bolsheviks calling all the shots.

That isn't just "partisan history"—it’s straight-up fact, and you can find it in pretty much any encyclopedia or WWII overview out there. Plus, there are actual photos of the "Prince Eugen" division members taken right then and there in that area. But hey, I guess it’s way easier to just call something a lie than to actually come up with a real counterargument, right?

Sure... I’ll admit... it’s just repetitive propaganda: "down with Hitler, down with Hitler."

Even Microsoft Encarta 😬 notes that Marshall was a master manipulator.

Quincy:
Beyond that, there are photographs of the "Prince Eugen" division members from that exact era and region. But of course, it is much easier to label something a lie than to actually present a counterargument.
I haven't checked Encarta, but quietwolf can surely tell you that the division was local.
