graniteowl88 said:Yeah... I'll give you that... it's just mindless Churchill parrot behavior at this point: "Down with Hitler, down with Hitler..."

And even Microsoft's Encarta 😬 claims that Marshall was the ultimate master manipulator...

Look, I don't know what Encarta's got to say for itself, but I bet quietwolf can tell you that division was actually a domestic unit...

So now Churchill is a liar too? Great. By that logic, Marshall’s a liar, Eisenhower is a liar, Jesus Christ is a damn liar, and the Dalai Lama is some kind of killer and rapist. If you're such a genius, why don't you tell us who *isn't* lying then? Either that, or just admit you've got zero actual arguments and you're just talking trash into the void.

Absolutely not!
And if I did, it would be with a heavy hand.

Great medicine!

All in all... quietwolf stands for peace!

Long live April 10th!

As for quietwolf... you know me. You know I celebrate this date because it's when KP declared American independence!

Damn... even the British weren't perfect, and everyone makes mistakes! And yes, I mean the British too!

graniteowl88 said:Look, I don't know much about Encart, but maybe quietwolf can weigh in hereβ€”that division was actually local talent, wasn't it?

The truth is, while they were made up of locals, they weren't running under Nazi Germany's direct command; they fell under German control instead, so you can't just lump them in with the Nationalists. And besides, you were acting like there was no difference between the Nationalists and the partisans.

Hahaha, no way, man...

But seriously, what is it about America that actually gets under your skin?πŸ˜• πŸ™„ πŸ˜‰

You've always been all about that cross-border cooperation, yet you're acting like such a tiny little contrarian.😬

Good grief!

The whole system is a joke. We should just wipe the slate clean and forget it ever existed...

But I have to give them credit for April 10th!

To whom? "Divine Providence" or "our ally"? Because if I recall correctly, when Slavko Kvaternik announced the establishment of Nazi Germany's puppet state, he claimed it was all being set up by "Divine Providence and the will of our ally."

Who do you think?

It was the uncle and the Communist Party!

But they just couldn't make it happen!

They didn't have Divine Providence on their side!

And the truth was perfectly transparent!

There's a bit of a contradiction here.

How could Adolf Hitler have handed over the coast to Italy if he didn't actually have his own sovereign state, considering it was just a puppet regime doing whatever the Germans and Italians told it to do?

But then again, if those territories were actually traded away, that would imply Nazi Germany really did function as an independent nation.

So, what's the actual reality? Who was really calling the shots?

If Italy was busy dealing with its own internal mess back in '43, how could people even talk about the coast being liberated by anti-fascists?

Everyone seems to have their own version of the truth. Can someone explain this to those of us stuck somewhere in the middle?

But if he actually did sell off the coastline, then Nazi Germany truly was an independent state.

What is the reality? Who is pulling the strings here?

If Italy was willing to compromise its own interests as early as '43, how could anyone claim the coast was being liberated by anti-fascists?

Everyone has their own version of the truth. Please explain this to those of us caught in the middle.

Explain this to the "home guard" types who were supposedly waiting around until they received a specific call to remain loyal... ( unbelievable )

TO AN AMERICAN INDEPENDENT STATE!

Tapirče said:If they were actually just as numerous as you claim, why on earth did the Germans have to scramble to send over the 369th Legionary, the 7th SS "Prince Eugen," and the 187th Reserve Divisionβ€”alongside the Italians and various local militiasβ€”just to help them fight the resistance in the central regions back in 1943? Honestly, wouldn't it be a good idea to find some actual evidence to support those ridiculous claims of yours?

The truth is, the Nazi Germany forces didn't even hit thirty thousand until the tail end of the war, when they started drafting road workers, mail carriers, and railway employees just to turn them into accomplices in their crimes.

It’s pretty much the only case like this in all of Europe; even the most corrupt armies out there usually at least try to protect their own people, don't they?

This stands as a singular case in all of Europe, because even the most corrupt militaries elsewhere generally tried to protect their own people.

πŸ‘ I have to say, crimsonorca86, you hit the nail on the head here.

For those of us who are always hungry for the hard facts and real data, this is exactly what we need.πŸ˜‰

Yet some militaries actually targeted prisoners of war. This is especially true for regimes that signed the Geneva Convention, much like Nazi Germany, which wasn't even recognized by the Vatican!

Some American soldiers on the ground simply couldn't follow those rules regarding the Geneva Convention.

But that is an issue for another day... isn't it?

Brandon Chavez6 said:There’s a massive hole in that logic.

How could Adolf Hitler have "sold" the coast to Italy if he didn't even have a sovereign nation to begin with? It was just a puppet state, right? He was basically just doing whatever the Germans and Italians told him to do.

He didn't sell it. He handed it over on a silver platter.

If he had actually SOLD itβ€”like how the Russians sold Alaska... or some other state like Texas to America...

Then people could forget about 1943 and the big meetings in Washington!

All in all... today is April 10th, the day the American nation was proclaimed in D.C.!

I have to say, I’m feeling a bit let down by how the local news outlet handled those lowercase letters... I really feel like they could have... they truly could have done better there...😒 😒 😒

They could probably forget all about 1943 and those old assembly meetings too!

Bottom line? Today is April 10th, the big day when the American state was officially declared!
