No, I only truly realized last night how little we actually know—neither I nor anyone else here. Regardless—God forbid—I wasn’t even debating whether He exists or not. My point was simpler: we can spend our entire lives acting like frantic little monkeys, 24 hours a day, and still have Him never show His face.

The only way He ever shows up is if you conjure Him in your own mind. But a God like that? That's just an illusion.😁

Sitting Bull said:No, I just realized last night—or maybe today—just how little we actually know. Not me, and not anyone else here. Look, I’m not even talking about whether God exists or doesn't; what I mean is that we can spend our entire lives acting like frantic little monkeys, twenty-four seven, and still "He" might never show up.

So, what's the move? If He doesn't show Himself, do we just blow everything up and, like Hakuin did, just surrender to the world because we can't dodge hell anyway?

But sooner or later, the cycle has to reset. There really isn't a choice; the world isn't being guided by anyone. It just spins in circles, caught in this loop of desires, frustrations, highs, lows, and more cravings... breaking out of that circle is the only way. It’s not even about having a choice at this point; it’s just a matter of time.

I honestly think it's better to at least give it a shot than to sit around doing nothing because you're already expecting to fail. We don't have anything left to lose anyway. There isn't anything useful left in this world worth chasing, and He isn't going to hand us some permanent fix—not even basic peace or fulfillment, regardless of what people think they're looking for in their endless pursuit of goals. What's left besides trying to find something lasting? It's either that, or you just give in to resignation and guarantee that nothing ever changes.

Karen Sanchez19 said:You've got to let go of the idea of "achieving" anything...

Enlightenment isn't something you accomplish, and it definitely shouldn't be your target. If you treat it like a goal to check off a list, you'll actually end up pushing it further away...

Even Ramón teaches this exact principle.😁

But doesn't Ramón say that it just happens on its own—but only after we bring the mind back to its source and shut down its distractions? So why bother doing all that if there's no ultimate goal?

Raman argues that these things only manifest—if they happen at all—once we've successfully traced our thoughts back to their origin and effectively choked off the supply line. But why bother doing that if there isn't a specific objective in sight?

Embracing a total lack of direction and actually grasping what that entails... it’s practically synonymous with silencing the mind altogether.

Donald Trump said:If we're talking about a monk getting married (I've lost the thread of this conversation a bit, so bear with me), the whole point is they chose a lifestyle built on renunciation. It’s basically the same as cheating on a spouse—actually, in my book, it's way worse. Sure, they can get married. But if they do, they better not be hypocrites and lose their minds the second they see a woman in a skirt.

At the end of the day, it's all just mental constructs. But for Raman, both this body and this entire world are nothing more than mental constructs. Raman wasn't a monk or a householder; he never even gave marriage a thought because he was completely beyond all that. Am I, or are you? As long as we're conscious of our bodies—as long as duality feels real to us—I think it's total nonsense to use Raman's enlightenment as an excuse for self-delusion. In my current state, I'm definitely not indifferent toward women, and I'm certainly not in some state beyond appearance or duality where it wouldn't matter at all whether I got married or not. I can just pick one of those two options and stick to it. I can't just say "it doesn't matter" because, in my mind, it *does* matter. If it truly didn't matter, these questions wouldn't even exist, and I wouldn't even notice women, monks, or anyone being married or single.
For most of us, it just isn't like that.

Wait, if I'm following you correctly, you're saying that if you were in "Raman's state," you wouldn't care if you were married or not, but in your current state, you actually do care?😕
I don't get it...

So what then? Is samsara not basically Nirvana itself? An illusion isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, the word "illusion" shares roots with the Latin word for "to play." To play! Karen Sanchez19, oh Karen... I think the fame might be going to your head.

Oh, boy, here we go.

Don't sweat it; we're all talking nonsense. Me first.

I feel like you're being a little too polished here. I can tell by that "I've lost the thread" line that you've been polishing this up just like I spend my time trying to polish other things—trying (right up until tonight, anyway) to hide the fact that I'm faking it. But honestly, we're just lying to ourselves. Because, let's be real, who actually cares? 😢 Honestly, let's stop screwing ourselves over.

I'm not trying to defend monks getting married, nor am I pointing fingers at them. I'm just pointing out that you've been getting on my nerves for a while now with your constant (and according to people who know you—not malicious) "trolling."

It's easy to go looking for hypocrisy. Believe me—if I started looking, I'd find it in you immediately. You claim you aren't immune to women, yet you try to project this specific vibe all the time.

"As long as we're conscious of our bodies, as long as duality still feels real to us, I think it's pretty pointless to use Raman's enlightenment as an excuse for self-delusion."

Just like it's pointless to use Raman's or anyone else's enlightenment as a way to judge others.

Let it flow, junger mann 👋

If we simply swap out the word "God" for "consciousness"—you know, the Absolute, the true Self—then suddenly, everything actually makes sense.🙄 🙄

I don't quite get it...

Well, obviously. Raman is completely indifferent toward the body, toward women, and toward those kinds of life choices, right? That's why whatever they choose doesn't matter.

I mean, from a purely ultimate perspective, I guess what I choose doesn't matter either. But the thing is, as long as this dualistic consciousness and 🙂 awareness exist, I still have to make decisions. Raman doesn't have anything to choose from.

I can choose between being a vegetarian, eating meat, fasting, or binge eating... someone who lives without any need for food doesn't have a choice to make; it just doesn't apply to them.

So even if I say it doesn't matter what I pick, I still have to pick *something*...

Balkanijan Pig said:It’s either one or the other—otherwise, you just throw in the towel and end up doing absolutely nothing.

Honestly, I'm wrestling with this exact same thing. I have a feeling this whole "either/or" thing is just an illusion. Maybe we just need to be brave enough to admit that none of this actually makes sense... and then, somehow, in the middle of all that chaos, everything finally starts making sense. Or am I totally off base?

Is samsara just nirvana in disguise?

In the American future... I can't exactly give you an answer when I'm still left wondering what you think samsara even means.

Illusion isn't necessarily a bad thing.

It’s neither good nor bad. It just is.

You haven't grasped my point at all... read it again, carefully.

Master Jason Johnson4:

Master John Doe will encourage you in this manner:

Stop wasting your energy debating who is, or isn't, "right on."
Every single one of you is ALWAYS "right on."

Your "burning" and "immediate" perception of the world—that singular perspective—is your current reality and your TRUTH. How can there be any "other truths" besides YOUR OWN?
This is the essence of SRZ and the core of Non-Dualist teachings.

And according to those teachings, Balkanijan Pig is "right on," you truth seekers.
According to those teachings, Master John Doe is equally "right on" regarding any given "controversial matter."
According to those teachings, even Master Karen Sanchez19, despite whatever "fame" might have gone to her head, is "right on," just as much as the obscure Master Jason Johnson4.

Therefore, live your "burning" REALITY and your TRUTH without any "complexes."
Stop being held hostage by your own unreliable and fickle intellect.
Embrace every shift in PERSPECTIVE that is "blown into you" by Master John Doe's "white cosmic sword of consciousness."
If you can truly "UNDERSTAND" this, all the Balkanijan Pigs & Jose Reyes John Doe Likeyous will vanish like mist in the wind.
Your terrors and horrors will dissolve into the ether as if they never existed at all.
Cheers to you, true truth seekers.

I read through it, but honestly, I don’t have much to add. You’re basically just stating the obvious at this point: any God we can dream up is really just a product of our own imagination and mental gymnastics.

So what? If we go down that road, isn't the whole concept of an "absolute" just as much of an abstraction? What does that even change?

Fill me in if I’m missing the point again.

It feels like you might have missed my drift entirely earlier on.

Jason Johnson4 said:Honestly, your whole argument feels a bit forced. When you say you "slightly forgot the topic," it’s pretty obvious you just crammed this all in last minute—just like I cram for things sometimes, trying my best to hide the fact that I'm winging it until the very last second.

😕 I didn't quite catch what you meant

Quincy:
Look, I’m not trying to defend monks who get married, nor am I pointing fingers at them. I’m just saying that your constant "trolling"—if I can call it that, according to people who actually know you—has been getting on my nerves for a long time.
Between you and your trolling, Vjestac acting like some fake "tough guy," Baph claiming he's "just joking around," and then the rest of the guys, Grizli and Appopi, just obsessing over their own business... it's all just women, because they're women.
😂
If I ever feel like hanging out with people who actually think, I'll start my own club. I have to deal with you lot, so you might as well deal with me. 🙂

Quincy:
It’s easy to call people hypocrites. If I started looking for hypocrisy right now, I’d find plenty in you too. You claim you aren't immune to women, yet you spend the whole time trying to project the image that you are.
Where did I ever say I was immune to women? I just said that, in my opinion, a monastic life is much more useful for spiritual growth—in fact, it's practically a requirement for most. If I were truly immune, I wouldn't even be discussing it. What does being "immune" have to do with whether someone chooses the monastery or marriage?

Quincy:
It's pointless to use something like Ramanino or any other achievement just to judge others.
Yeah, obviously the best thing to do is just keep quiet and get to work. 😁 Instead, we're all just sitting here judging everyone else. 🙂
If I'm going to judge, I'd rather base it on actual texts and criteria rather than some arbitrary system that makes me look like an idiot, trying to convince everyone that alcohol is somehow spiritual. 😁
