I'm telling you, I've had mine for over 15 years now—and even with my kids constantly messing around with my old gear, they haven't managed to break it yet.

He probably just kept his cards tucked in his pocket, and the heat from his body caused those little strips to peel right off🤷😁. Honestly, there’s no other way it could have happened.

I don't think you guys quite get it, those cards are honestly total garbage; I have this one debit card from my foreign currency account that I've never even carried in my wallet because I probably only need it once a month, so it just sits there in a folder with my banking documents, and yet all the lettering has already rubbed off even though I haven't even had it for two months.
I guess someone else on this thread mentioned in a PDF how quickly the print wears away, and maybe the signature strip does the same thing too.

He didn't know where to sign—didn't want to look like an idiot—so he started lying. Now he’s stuck because he can't figure out his way out of it. Typical American mentality. 🙄

🤷🙄
I was just checking out my Chase cards, and honestly, they all have such long expiration dates. The magnetic strips look brand new, too. The only thing is that the raised white lettering on my Visa Mastercard has worn down just a tiny bit.

Congrats on passing! 🙏🙏 🙏My parents always tried to teach me that lying isn't really the best way to go about things 🙂, and I think you might have actually shown that mindset with this post! goodness me.
P.S. Just so you know, I haven't bothered signing my debit cards for years since it doesn't seem to matter anyway, because I don't think anyone asks for a signature on a receipt unless it's a credit card.
@rustypanther39, the lettering on my Bank of America cards has completely rubbed off, and from Chase I only have a Maestro debit card left where the letters are still okay, though the card itself is starting to peel apart at the edges, so I'm pretty lucky it expires soon.

Ryan Carter52 said:Yeah, I mean, it’s just that on all my cards, that strip keeps peeling off into a hundred tiny little pieces, which is really what I was getting at.
Ugh, yeah, there's honestly just nothing you can do about that. 🙂

My Visa Mastercard from JPMorgan Chase hits my account on the 15th of every month. I usually make sure there's enough cash sitting in there—or at least enough cushion in my overdraft—to cover the full amount.
I was planning on squaring things up tomorrow, but then it hit me—tomorrow is a holiday, so the banks will be closed. Those ATMs that take deposits won't even process anything until Tuesday. To make matters worse, I don't know anyone with access to Chase Online who could just transfer me that $300-$133.
So, how should I handle this?
Am I going to end up hitting an unauthorized overdraft? Or does the bank have some other way of handling these little timing hiccups?
My plan is to head straight to the branch first thing Tuesday morning to deposit the funds...
Any potential headaches I should be looking out for?
Thanks...

That's just wrong. JPMorgan Chase ATMs credit your account immediately, regardless of whether it's a Sunday or some random holiday... Just hit up an ATM tomorrow and deposit it...

Alright... thanks...
So, I was looking through their brochure here:
and honestly, the info on page five left me a bit scratching my head.
Does anyone have a clue what time the Visa Mastercard transactions usually hit for settlement? I get the feeling it always happens in the afternoon—or is it more of a "whenever it feels like it" kind of situation?

Those ATMs where you have to use an envelope—the ones that don't credit your account until the next business day (honestly, I haven't seen one of those in ages)—are different from the standard deposit machines where you just slide the cash in without an envelope; those credit your account instantly. Even if a Visa Mastercard transaction hits your balance before you actually make the deposit (say, it posts at 6 PM and you drop the cash off at 7 PM), there won't be any fallout—no interest penalties or anything like that—simply because the posting date remains the same 😉

Does anyone know if Chase cards have received a new design, maybe something more European-looking? Like the ones you see at UniCredit in Italy or elsewhere in Europe

Would anyone be kind enough to inform me how much time typically elapses while waiting for a Visa Mastercard to arrive from JPMorgan Chase once the application for issuance has been formally submitted?

I put in for a Gold card last Tuesday, I think. Got a call from my bank yesterday saying everything cleared. Now I'm just sitting around waiting for something to show up in the mail—a PIN, a notification, whatever.

My Go Card arrived quite promptly, having been delivered directly to my home via mail, yet I find myself still awaiting the arrival of my standard Chase Mastercard, despite having filed the request for it simultaneously back on August 29th.

Does anyone happen to know what the daily cash withdrawal limit is for a CHASE MASTERCARD debit card at an ATM?
