Wait, did we all just collectively lose our minds? It’s getting late, 🙂
If you can't control the elements outside, then start by mastering the chaos within. Stand your ground and fight; don't be some spineless coward who lets every passing breeze blow them around.

Ah. As the saying goes... small words from a small mind.
Wait, hang on... I think I can do better than that:
Hehe...

Hold on, let me try something a bit more cutting:![]()
Heh...
Look, man, you basically dug your own grave when you spent all that time whining about that untouchable penny stock—which, let's be honest, was probably a total scam anyway—so who on earth is going to take you seriously now? 🙂

Neither, really; once you strip away the royal robes or the rags, they’re fundamentally the same thing anyway. 😛

If you can't master the world around you, then focus on mastering your own inner landscape. Stand your ground—don't be that pushover who lets every random guy on the street talk down to him.
In this life, we’re all going to hit highs and lows. You’ll face victories and defeats, and so will I—we aren't any different in that regard.
But personally, I refuse to see victory as a win or defeat as a loss; Tao is always in motion.
Your struggle is actually what binds you. The more you obsess over winning and losing, the less freedom you truly have.
The path to internal victory is actually the path to peace. You can't win a war against yourself through combat—because in every fight, someone ends up destroyed. And if you destroy yourself in the process... what's left?

In any struggle, there are winners and there are losers. But let’s be clear: wars aren't won by individual skirmishes. What actually matters is coming out on top in the grand, overarching war of life itself. Of course, you can always choose to sit on the sidelines and play philosopher if that’s your speed. You don't lose, you don't win—you just exist in this state of nothingness. Honestly, if that's the goal, you probably shouldn't have been born in the first place.
And I’m sure this profound little philosophy will hold up for you until you stumble upon some other book that catches your eye. Or maybe I should put it this way, as someone whose name I won't bother mentioning—regular sex😂

Alexander Parker69 said:Man, you really dug yourself into a hole with all that whining about that unachievable, low-quality jackpot. Who’s actually going to take you seriously now? 🙂
It’s almost funny—as if being taken seriously by anyone else is the point here. 😉
The truth is, our biggest breakthroughs usually happen right after our egos get absolutely shattered. My own ego took quite a hit recently, and honestly, all that complaining was just a symptom of the fallout. Through those cracks, I caught a glimpse of a version of myself I had started to bury deep down. 🙂 So, I'm changing. At the end of the day, the only person who needs to take *me* seriously is me.

hollowviper72 said:It’s not even about whether people take me seriously. 😉
In reality, the most profound shifts in consciousness usually come from massive ego bruises—total structural collapses of the self. My own ego took a serious hit recently, and frankly, it was a godawful mess. But through those cracks, I caught a glimpse of a part of myself I had already started to bury deep underground. 🙂 So, that’s why I’m evolving. The only thing that actually matters is that *I* take myself seriously, not you.
Actually, it's the exact opposite. The real goal is to stop taking yourself so damn seriously.
And let’s be honest, pretending you don't care how others perceive you is a total lie, so just watch how quickly you start philosophizing your way out of the truth 😁
It looks to me like your ego still needs a good shaking to wake it up. 😁

hollowviper72, look, I'm giving you some genuinely decent advice here. 😁
The kind of stuff you probably won't listen to anyway, but hey, it's there if you need it... 😂

Of course, you could just sit on the sidelines and play philosopher—neither losing nor winning anything at all. If you don't take a stand, you shouldn't even bother showing up.
When you're fighting yourself, there can't be both a winner and a loser. That’s why you don't actually "fight" who you are. Meditation and introspection aren't weapons for combat; they are tools for understanding.
...what do you mean by "Accept disgrace willingly"?
Accepting that you aren't important.
Don't get caught up in what you lose or what you gain...
I am unimportant. You are unimportant. Even Bush is unimportant. Once you truly grasp that—once you actually embrace it—the struggle ceases and peace begins. That is when you can finally start living. It isn't weakness, either—it's an understanding of the Whole. Whether you win or lose, the Whole remains unchanged.
I completely understand why you might disagree with that. Honestly, after about ten minutes of contemplation today, I managed to wrap my head around that quote, and suddenly, I was looking at the world with a sense of humor. But the ego is always lurking there, fighting tooth and nail against its own negation. Right now, I can feel my own "disagreement" bubbling up because I still feel "important." There's this voice inside me insisting that being important is essential—and man, is it hard to tune out.
But still... for a fleeting moment, I understood. 🙂

Not that you’re actually going to take it, but hey, it doesn't matter much. 😂
The other option would be to just focus on finding a woman, though I suspect even you wouldn't agree with that approach. 😁

Jack Harris3 said:hollowviper72, if I may—take this as some genuine, friendly advice. 😁
You probably won't take it, but hey, that's okay too. 😂
Honestly, though, don't be quite so certain about that. 😉
Take a look at my previous post above.

Accept being insignificant.

I completely get why you might push back against that. Earlier today, after about ten minutes of deep contemplation, I managed to wrap my head around that quote, and for a moment, I found myself looking at the world with a sense of genuine humor. But the ego is a persistent thing, always lurking, fighting tooth and nail against its own negation. Even now, I can feel this internal "disagreement" with the sentiment because, apparently, I am "important." A voice inside me insists that being important matters, and let's face it, it's a damn hard voice to ignore.
And yet... for a fleeting second, I understood. 🙂
Oh, my enlightened friend,😍
after devouring three books and sitting through a few meditation sessions, we've already got ourselves a new little philosopher in the making. 😂

after finishing those three books and sitting with the ideas for a while—really chewing on them—I think we might just have ourselves a brand-new little genius here.😂
Look, Ravanek, maybe it didn't quite click the first time around:
Clear? 😁

Oh, I caught it, believe me... honestly, every time I try to make a point, you just seem to spin in circles like you've got nothing but air between your ears.😁

Honestly, my back is already killing me from sitting here trying to make sense of your rambling nonsense. But hey, you've got a point. 😁
