Justin, look, elections aren't happening right this second, but we sure as hell aren't going to sit around twiddling our thumbs for another three years. Those Superman types? They’ll just collapse under their own weight eventually.

you’re stuck with Eric Adams for another three years, dammit... nothing's changing, no matter how much people were hoping for a miracle
Alex Moore3 said:That's funny. I thought you were supposed to be facing elections in 3 years too?
Apparently, that's actually possible.☕
The worst ones are the people trying to scare us into thinking we'll regret our vote. They don't care about our actual issues, yet they act so certain that we'll end up crying over whoever takes charge and becomes responsible for those exact problems a year from now.
So, a little advice: take a breath and just focus on picking the best mayor this Sunday. Pick the one who works for you, not for those of us who don't live in Miami.
Alex Moore3 said:It’s funny how Adams, Kek, and the club leader Ivandic all use the exact same talking points to defend themselves. It feels like they're all getting briefed by the same person. They keep insisting that New York City was falling apart 20 or 30 years ago and that things were actually worse back then. They’re basically calling the citizens liars. Honestly, I don't think we want to wait another three years just to see if those 200,000 people would give them their votes again.
Jessica Campbell30 said:Maybe they just refuse to pass the budget? Once the Democratic Party finishes shuffling their people around and Grbin and Gotovac are happy with the ratio of political appointees, they'll go after power. They just need a replacement coalition before the next election cycle...

I still maintain my view: certain areas are pure chaos because supporters of the former mayor are doing everything in their power to cause maximum disruption just to blame Eric Adams and his crew. Meanwhile, things run smoothly in the parts where people actually show up and do their jobs conscientiously, regardless of who holds office.
Alex Moore3 said:You've got a point there. I'm not expecting us to make a great choice either.
But it's definitely possible we could at least clear out the incompetent crowd.
Gregory Hall66 said:One must consider that Toto essentially betrayed and spat upon the very individuals who spent decades polishing his public image and building his reputation.
Do you honestly believe those people won't settle the score once they have the opportunity?
And make no mistake, they will. Even now, I can almost see the protest signs rising in support of Toto and his little band of followers:
"Born from our misery and your stench, you rose through lies. Now, return to him as you came." 😁

Alex Moore3 said:This is a whole new level of paranoia.
I almost believed the theories about the old guard at City Hall and Berkshire Hathaway planting clips, but suggesting that citizens are intentionally sabotaging the Mayor is just... wow.😁
In my neighborhood, things are definitely better, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's any less chaotic than other areas. Feel free to name a single neighborhood where you don't see issues with the Sanitation Department, Central Park, or Broadway.
darkhawk30 said:I wasn't talking about the citizens; I meant the employees at the Sanitation Department. Though, since you're already casting them as suspects, I wouldn't rule that out either.
Someone mentioned the other day that a truck pulls onto their street, does a full loop, and leaves without picking up a single thing.
granitefox16 said:Didn't Vić say the other day that they weren't missing pickups more than once a week? Well, there’s been trash sitting in my street for the last three collections, so what now?
I'm done with this garbage situation. Unless someone can prove things were actually better back when that Train robber was running the show, I'm joining the Green Party...
The neighborhood is drowning in fucking trash at this point, it's not even funny anymore. 🤦

.....with the explicit promise that this capital would be used to overhaul and expand the water, sewage, and gas networks.....
And you expect me to view you as a credible interlocutor?
I am even going so far as to point out, in good faith, that the trail for those funds leads directly to the corrupt political elite of that era, as they were all complicit in a coordinated effort to bail out their archetypal enemies.
As you can see, the answer is quite elementary if one isn't suffering from a cognitive lapse.
Shall we proceed?
Adam Collins4 said:Actually, we can't, because the last time they "reallocated" a 300 MILLION EURO tranche was back in 2012/2013.
Now we can proceed...
Where did that thieving crook blow over 2 BILLION KUNA meant for PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE—money that we're still paying off in 2023?
See, this is what happens when you actually have all the facts laid out...
So, twice now—not once, but TWICE—this fraudster has pocketed utility funds and accomplished absolutely nothing...
Did you actually name him back then, or were you just bluffing?
This pathetic trolling, trying to pin the blame on someone else, is just more of the same nonsense...
