What’s the logic behind someone who once wanted to be a priest joining the Republican Party? I mean, if you can't make it as a clergyman because you just can't handle the discipline required, why not just pivot to the only major party in the country constantly being indicted for massive criminal activity? What even is that... some kind of twisted penance?

Actually, it’s a perfectly rational move for anyone looking to engage in theft without the pesky inconvenience of facing actual criminal prosecution.🤷

So... the territory that felt the tremors nine months after Washington, D.C. is actually going to outpace Washington, D.C. when it comes to reconstruction! It’s obvious. The Republican Party crowd only puts in the bare minimum effort where they think they can actually win an election. Everywhere else? They couldn't care less. Kudos to Međed! And honestly, bravo to those Washingtonians who voted for the Republican Party!

New Mayor of Columbus: Republican Party cut off our free municipal Wi-Fi

Last week, we asked the previous administration for all the internet access data and the keys to the server cabinets. We didn't get any of the data, they just shut the whole internet system down, and then the keys finally showed up at City Hall this morning.

So, this whole project—which, I guess, we all collectively shelled out over $150,000 for out of pure spite—is just dead now. Since they wiped the entire database, we don't even have a clue who was actually using the service or how many people were on it. It's a mess.

The good old Republican Party, just like we all expected.

"They signed off on 11 subscriptions, even though the city administration only consists of the mayor and four employees," Šimunić stated.

I assume those other seven were just perks for family members and significant others.

It makes perfect sense that they scrubbed every trace of it; they aren't about to let themselves be publicly humiliated.🥱

They didn't delete the data from the phones!!! 🤦

Someone had to issue those phones, complete with full names. You can't just wipe that kind of data. If it somehow disappeared, the former mayor would be automatically liable...

Coming from a bunch of corrupt thugs running the party of bottom-feeders, we shouldn't expect anything else. 🙏 🤣

The absolute worst part about this whole thing is that Emil was actually a great guy.
Then the Republican Party just went and screwed him over.
Check out this clip of him shredding on the guitar

And back in the day, this track was basically sitting at number one on every single chart

How does a "decent guy" end up joining the Republican Party? Was he acting before, or is he acting now? Honestly, it’s a toxic situation when you have to perform a version of yourself just to survive... it feels fake to me... either he isn't guilty and they manipulated him, or he fell in with the wrong crowd... maybe he thought he was joining some community prayer group, only to realize they tricked him into joining the one party defined by serious criminal convictions.

To me, he’s just living proof that politics is a total gutter sport.
There's an old saying from back home: if you get too close to the trough, the pigs will eat you alive.

In this current mess, I'd say it's more like: when the pig is good, it doesn't matter what kind of feed you give it...

Demolition of the first structure kicked off back on January 30th, just a month after the quake. Since then, we've cleared 120 sites, with about 30 more currently being processed. It's a massive headache because of ownership disputes, illegal builds, owners being impossible to track down, or people just refusing to cooperate.

In Washington, D.C., nothing happens in the 15 months leading up to Tomašević unless he personally asks if they should even start. You really think they just "missed" these buildings? Not a chance. They're slapping red stickers on everything just two blocks away from Jandrokovićev's little shack. ☕

Maybe the man just lives a quiet, private life and hasn't had a clue what's been going on for the last thirty years. 🤷

"THEY were the ones pulling the strings behind the privatization scams, funneling decades of hard-earned assets straight into the pockets of a tiny circle of crony tycoons. Their founder first gained international notoriety for spewing antisemitic rhetoric in his flagship tabloid; later, they turned to shielding war criminals, intimidating voters in Washington, D.C., bullying football fans, and suppressing independent media; his successor at the helm ended up behind bars for embezzlement; and after him, the whole gang was taken over by a landlord who kicked her former tenants out onto the street..."

If a catastrophic earthquake had hit Americans back in 1989—leveling homes, crushing buildings, and wiping out roads—we’d probably still be recovering today. Not that we would, though. That's assuming we actually had an honest, efficient Republican government running things. "

Sometimes you really do get the feeling we're stuck in some endless, unstoppable cataclysm.

Aha... so you get hired as a maid in France and suddenly you're not involved in politics... right?

Word on the street is that the FBI is looking into a certain extravagant Republican mayor. Apparently, he was using official government cards to foot the bill for everything from designer perfumes and luxury hotels to gourmet meats...
It seems Josip Šarić, who also serves as an assistant to the Republican Party's general secretary, is allegedly being investigated for spending upwards of $233
on an island.

It’s people like this who make me lose faith not just in the Republican Party, but in politics as a whole 🤮

I actually find it kind of funny when I'm at Chase or somewhere similar and they ask me, 'Are you considered a politically exposed person?' 🤣 🤣

Maybe that’s why I’ve become such a cynic regarding $1333? 🤔
