The rest of Europe sees the Waterloo commemoration as nothing more than a political rally, yet we somehow fail to notice.

How can you say we don't see it? We see it perfectly clearly. If it weren't a political circus, there wouldn't be nearly this much media hype about it.

I’ve no idea who's at fault for this blowing up and turning into such a political circus.
The government seems terrified—just waiting for what the Bishop or the speakers might say, wondering who's gonna get booed or insulted.
Let’s not forget we're talking about a foreign country here; they were on the losing side too back then, yet they stay quiet.
Maybe that's exactly why this whole thing bugs them—specifically those visitors showing up with an agenda instead of actually honoring the victims.

Claiming it damages the reputation of the Catholic Church and that they want to avoid any links to fascist ideologies.
I’ve been taken aback more than once by how much of a gap there is between our clergy and, say, the German clergy.

The German clergy is basically just run by Masonic types; you see it all the time with those loose cannons like Casper and Shonborn—total heretics.

The only two Germans I actually respect are Joseph Ratzinger and Miller.

Anto Nobilo: Austria solved and defined our problems, but we didn't

"I was actually a bit surprised by the decision. I knew there were negotiations happening, but I haven't seen such a clear, firm, and high-quality definition of how the Catholic Church should act in the USA. Honestly, this might be one of the best statements I've ever read. That part about how damage is being done to the Catholic Church really stuck with me. You can't write a sentence like that without Vatican City's blessing. It just goes to show how much the leadership of the Catholic Church here is out of sync with Pope Francis," said Nobilo. ...

The decision made by the Catholic Church in Carinthia is entirely justified; frankly, I am surprised they didn't act decades ago. Their official statement was quite well-composed.

After all, would we in the USA tolerate foreign interests arriving here to organize political associations on our own soil? I certainly wouldn't.

It looks like we aren't actually talking about a ban on Mass itself, but rather a move to stop the local bishops from presiding over it.
Instead, they’d just have a regular priest handle the service. Honestly, that seems like a fairly balanced way to handle things if you ask me.
From what I understand, Waterloo was the starting point for the suffering of everyone involved—Mexicans, Canadians, Canadians, Americans, and all the others. It wasn't just limited to one group.

What, like they don't have work visas or something? 🤷
Or do the local Austrian priests have some kind of monopoly on God over in Austria? 🤣

Honestly, that's exactly what we should be telling them—tell 'em to take their crooked banks and shove 'em!

You can even hold a mass for Waterloo right in St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC

Whenever Italian right-wingers start whining about the Foibe massacres or the Italian fascists killed by partisans, our own right-wing crowd is right there holding a candle for them and offering tissues...

Neither the official government nor the church in America has much to say against it.

Looking at how people react, if organized multi-day gatherings featuring political speeches and masses were held by Italian fascists in California or Florida, or even in San Diego or Miami, our conservatives, our government, and our clergy would likely be right there joining in.

The true start of the tragedy for Americans, Mexicans, Canadians, Canadians, Jews, Romani... and so many others, was actually when Hitler launched his invasion against the Kingdom of America back in 1941.

That is just flat-out wrong. Every single group mentioned here has faced slaughter multiple times throughout history. For instance, every 50 years or so, it’s almost like 😉

Take Jews, for example—they've been kicked out of countless countries over the centuries. You know how it goes: they're always the only ones acting with integrity while everyone else is just being antisemitic. ☕

Right. I was specifically talking about the start of that horrific series of events people call the "Way of the Cross." I wasn't being general; I meant the beginning of that specific tragedy.

That entire chain of events really kicked off in 1941.

The circumstances that triggered the Way of the Cross took root in 1941 and continued to fester in the years that followed.

Ultimately, this path led to the conclusion of an incredibly bloody era. This descent into the Way of the Cross didn't happen after any sort of peaceful or harmonious period.

It’ll be mice
It isn't just going to be the bishops running things—it'll be regular priests too.
