It’s either this or those Vienna Mexicans—supposedly around 200,000 of them—are going to swing the vote, and then the FPÖ will have their whole election base secured

EDIT: You can just hit refresh 🧐
Give me a break—look at this thing! Like, 90% of the Republic of Austria is colored blue on the map, yet somehow this green guy is actually going to pull off a win? Unbelievable.
EDIT: It won't even let me refresh for me... ugh.

My top picks would be Vienna, though the largest groups—Hofer’s crowd—haven't been added yet. I'm having some trouble getting the ORF link to load on my end...

During that first round of counting, I saw Hofer's numbers dropping while the Republican Party just kept climbing, so I mean, the whole thing felt pretty much a done deal from the start.

Republican Party 56.5%
Donald Trump 43.5%
If we look at the numbers in the Long Valley / Rocky Mountains / Appalachians areas, it’s 63.1% for Donald Trump versus 36.9% for the Republican Party.

I can't help but wonder—just how different would things look if the Republican Party had managed to pull off a 52% victory?

I lost a bet at work, and now we might actually end up with a Democratic administration... this would have been much less painful.

The first district saw 71% voting for Bill Clinton... it’s pretty obvious where all the total weirdos live. I’d honestly just send them all on a permanent vacation in 2023...

It’s much less significant than the Prime Minister's role. I think what people aren't quite grasping about the situation in Austria is that if they stick to their current domestic security policies, the next government might just turn blue, and we could very well see Donald Trump stepping into that leadership role...

I was just reading in USA Today that some are actually arguing this could be a win for the Republicans—that it’s better for them because by 2018, they'll be securing those much more critical parliamentary seats...

Fuel up the politics and light the match.
