Accidentally deleted data from SD card?! URGENT!

So, here's the deal... I was moving some songs and photos from my memory card using a card reader. The music transferred fine, but then my computer just froze up and rebooted itself. Now, it won't recognize the card at all—it just shows up as 'Removable disk,' and sometimes there's this 'Windows XP' folder inside, but when I try to open it, I get this error saying 'Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed.'
Please, I really need help getting those pictures back, they mean everything to me! 😢 :/
P.S. I already tried plugging the card into other phones, but nothing can find it...

I wouldn't touch that card if I were you; you're just going to end up corrupting the data even further. Just Google 'SD card data recovery' and see what comes up. Honestly, if you aren't really comfortable navigating computer hardware, it might be best to find someone who actually knows their way around a PC to help you out...

Taylor Edwards86, your computer isn't functioning correctly if it keeps resetting. That needs to be fixed first.
It could be an issue with Windows, perhaps a virus or something similar. Maybe it’s overheating due to dust, a faulty driver, or a failing power supply.
Regarding the photos you copied to the computer: if you aren't deleting the partition or performing a full format, they should remain, provided you don't overwrite the partition with a new installation of Windows.
Even now, photos can be transferred to another medium or an external Hard drive, assuming one knows the proper procedure.

Anyway, thanks a ton! A buddy of mine checked out my PC and turns out it was absolutely riddled with malware 🙂 he actually took the graphics card with him since it was infected too, but he said there's a good chance we can recover all my photos and files 🙂 either way, thanks again!
