Anti-Virus Comparison Test

I have uploaded a small, contaminated .rar file here. It contains a few viruses and worms, though they aren't dangerous until you actually run the .exe file and wake them up.
Everyone uses some kind of anti-virus software—some people use one brand, others use another, some are high-end while others are pretty mediocre.

If you're interested, download this file and run it through your own anti-virus. Let's see who catches what and which specific programs actually work. I'm sure you're just as curious as I am about how well our software really protects us.

I didn't actually unpack the file, I just took a quick look inside the RARed one! Besides, it usually catches any infected files anyway since I turned that setting on!
Anyway, if you don't mind me asking—did you create these viruses yourself, or what...?

You can unpack that archive whenever you like, and as for the viruses, they are certainly not my creation!

Norton Free isn't picking up anything, whether it's zipped or unzipped

Think of these more as pesky adware rather than actual viruses, which is exactly why some certain Anti-Virus programs might just glance right past them without raising an alarm.

Just head further down that page, and you'll find the specific test file designed to trigger an Anti-Virus scan.

Alright, I misspoke then; certain anti-virus programs are capable of detecting everything.
Run scans with every single tool you own!

What happened to Spybot, Bitdefender, Norton, and everyone else?!

McAfee is basically our everything 🙏 🙏 🙏 (though only after I actually toggled on the riskware protection..)

I mean, they make you sit through those mindless 60-minute wait times, yet they actually offer a decent variety of services, so I honestly can't wrap my head around why anyone bothers using them in the first place.
