The very last item under the Profile Statistics section is 'recommendations.' I’m a bit lost—what exactly does that signify or represent? Thanks! 😍

When you're setting up a new account, there's actually an option to drop someone else's name in as a referral—basically just letting the site know who sent you to Reddit in the first place.

But what if we just haven't been out there actively pitching the site to people? It’s not that this place isn't worth recommending—far from it... 😍

If you don't actually recommend anyone, then those recommendation counts on your profile are just going to stay at zero.
But hey, there's a little workaround. Someone who already knows you could just sign up, and while they're filling out their info, they can mention your username as the person who referred them. Boom—just like that, you've got another recommendation sitting on your profile.
