So, back in 2018, I dealt with bacterial pneumonia, and ever since then, my breathing has been a total wreck. I get winded constantly—I can’t do anything physical at all. It’s also a struggle just to breathe normally; I’m basically forced to inhale through my nose and mouth at the same time just to catch a breath. I went to see a Pulmonologist, and even though I don't have any allergies, he diagnosed me with Asthma. Before that 2018 mess, I was perfectly healthy, zero symptoms, nothing. Now, I'm trying Sinus and some inhaler, but honestly, it's barely doing anything. I can't even sleep at night because of the breathing issues. Please, someone tell me who I should talk to—has anyone else gone through this? I tried Ventolin, but it didn't really help much. Not being able to do anything active is seriously messing with my head.

Has anyone here had their blood pCO2, pO2, and pH levels analyzed, and what were your results like?
Ever since I had COVID, I've been dealing with constant fatigue, and for at least the last six months, I've been struggling with non-stop headaches.
My blood pH is slightly higher than normal, and my pCO2 is a bit lower compared to the standard reference ranges.
Everything seems to point toward respiratory acidosis, unless that’s just a typical finding when you're managing Asthma.

I don't have asthma or anything like that, but I was in a car wreck back in December and ended up with some lung bruising that luckily got patched up. My doctors suggested I go see a pulmonologist just to be safe, and I finally have an appointment the day after tomorrow, so I was wondering if anyone here could give me a quick heads-up on what to expect? I'm assuming it'll involve stuff like spirometry, listening to my lungs, maybe an X-ray, or something like that...

They will probably start by taking your medical history and listening to your lungs, then they'll send you off for an X-ray and spirometry. It’s nothing to worry about, really.
