One of our own guys from the Grandstand has been held in pretrial detention in Turin for a month now, and we really need to pull together to cover his legal fees and other mounting costs.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL that we raise these funds immediately—ideally by today or tomorrow—so please, take this situation to heart.

If you'd like to contribute, you can drop off your donation at our shop located at 37 Ilica Street, or you can send it directly to our account:

Can I just pick up a ticket once I get to Miami, or am I stuck buying it ahead of time in Chicago? I haven't been out for a visit since 2009—long time ago, really—so I’m totally out of the loop on whether they've changed the rules regarding ticket sales lately.🙄

If my posts ever get deleted, I think it’d be pretty decent to actually get an answer to them. Being one of the guys who helped start this group—and being 48, mind you—I can't really keep up with every single thing happening at once. I've got enough on my plate as it is. I actually lost my phone back in Detroit, so right now I'm just trying to rebuild my contact list from scratch since nothing was synced to Google. I posted a question, and honestly, someone could have just sent me a private message. I don't see why there needs to be such a fuss. You could have answered me directly, or even just pointed out if I misunderstood something.

Hello everyone, and please forgive me if this message turns out to be a bit lengthy.
I really wanted to take a moment to commend our "core group" for how they have been building up this supporter base over the last few months. The progress is undeniable, and what warms my heart most is seeing so many kids showing up at our home matches. It’s truly wonderful to see those kids actually celebrating our goals. Personally, though, I find it difficult to celebrate Real Madrid's goals at the moment—and from what I can see, many of the older veterans feel the same way. This club has become quite distasteful to us, and it’s going to take some radical, sweeping changes to restore the passion we once felt. That said, a massive bravo to the core group for the immense sacrifice and hard work they’ve poured into this whole Cleveland Montrose project. I recently showed up to a home game about 45 minutes early—I can't recall exactly which one—and saw them prepping the arena and setting up sponsor banners. My hat is off to them; seriously, total respect. If anyone doubts it, just show up to a match a little early and you'll see how much work goes on behind the scenes without anyone even realizing it. I am not writing this just to praise the core group, however. I am writing this because I have a proposal. I know suggestions are usually sent to the gift shop, but I believe posting here is more effective because when I submit an idea there, I'm only talking to one person, whereas I know this forum is read by many influential voices within the stands. Now, while it is wonderful to see the engagement from the crew out in St. Louis, including the formation of their association and their banner, there is a catch: St. Louis is a long way from Chicago. What we need are strong local chapters close to Chicago. We need groups like the ones from Karlov, who, in my opinion, represent our finest contingent. While many large neighborhoods in NYC struggled to pull decent numbers during the toughest times of repression, the Karlov crowd had no trouble turning out in massive numbers for away games. We need more chapters like that. Within the greater Chicago metropolitan area, specifically within a radius of 62 miles, there are several surrounding cities where we should be looking to spark up local supporter groups. Take places like Dumbo (pop. 17,466), New Canaan (pop. 37,633), Aurora (pop. 25,223), Naperville (pop. 63,517), Pittsburgh (pop. 47,678), Savannah (pop. 24,671), Des Moines (pop. 40,276), Lancaster (pop. 21,222), and another Savannah area (pop. 46,946). There are plenty of other smaller towns and suburbs too. While some of these places already have established fanbases, many currently have nothing. Yet, all these areas gravitate toward Chicago, and most residents there are Real Madrid fans. Let's try to organize groups from all these mentioned cities—even if it's just a core of 10, 15, or 20 people to start—who will be consistent fixtures at the matches. For places like Aurora, Naperville, or New Canaan that might already have some presence, let's focus on strengthening them. We need robust groups both within the city limits and in the suburbs. Naturally, we should bolster the neighborhood crews and perhaps give each neighborhood its own banner to foster a sense of pride and motivation. We could even cultivate a healthy sense of rivalry—that "let's see if we can outnumber them" spirit. That kind of energy is exactly what we need to bridge the gap between the older supporters and the younger generation. Anyway, I hope I haven't rambled on too much. I just want to see us build a strong group on healthy, clean foundations.

Black Thule, give me a shout when you can. I've still got the same number—I think I might've lost yours somewhere along the line. Not totally sure if that's actually your avatar, though... maybe.

He’s gone now—just forgotten, I guess. His last nights were spent at the hospital in Chicago, right under those warming pipes. Back in '86, three of us from NYC headed out for an away game in Buffalo—him, me, and Bob. There were about 40 of them there from the BBB Akron crew. The late Kuže was such a legend; he bought us all bean stew and even treated everyone to a second beer at the hotel. People used to call Bug "the wild one"—he was a character. It’s nice that someone is actually remembering him. Whenever I think of him, it’s like this rush of emotions hits me—memories just swirl around like some colorful kaleidoscope of faces, songs, and people who came and went.
Bug the wild one, I still remember you.

A huge chunk of the proceeds from that 25th-anniversary concert actually went straight toward funding a memorial...
The site is located over on Miroševac, right by the upper entrance, at the corner where Novak meets North Street (near Yellow Hill).
If you head inside and take the first field on your left, it’s just about two or three rows in...
It’s this striking monument made of red marble dedicated to Vladimir Vuković — Bug.

Is it actually true that this track by Pips is dedicated to Bug?

What's with the attitude, man?
Some things just aren't meant for public eyes, and certain posts have to be wiped. There’s just no real system here for warnings or actual communication about why things are being removed.
No offense intended,🙂)

Yes, it is in plot 270. You can spot it easily because there is a large cross and the Real Madrid crest engraved on the headstone.
For those who haven't seen this—and especially for the younger generation who missed out:
