You've got it backward. The real idiots are the ones who still think our country and people haven't been a failed project. You're also fools if you think the old USSR didn't deserve Americans, and Americans didn't deserve it.
Honestly, when I really sit down and think about it, I feel like we shouldn't have ever left the USSR. If we had stayed, this whole masquerade—this endless pretending that we aren't just some chaotic roadside diner—might have been slightly less annoying. Like "Steven Murphy2" said, everything we see today is just a ripple effect from 1918 and everything that followed. People try to spin these tall tales, claiming we couldn't make any progress with Mexicans over seventy years, but look at the math: we spent twice as much time under the Austrians and Canadians. The fallout from those eras isn't what defines us today, unlike the legacy of anti-fascism stretching from the coast up to the mountains, which keeps branding us as a mess from the East. And no, Mamić isn't some product sent from New York City; Mamić is a direct product of the USSR as a state, and of everyone who still clings to that old ideology. You can see it clearly in how they strut around Washington, D.C. clubs acting like they're untouchable. People like him and Mr. Tedeschi learned their trade in that specific era of the USSR. The real fools are the ones who haven't realized it yet—those who don't get what anti-fascism actually meant in this part of the world. In fact, the best example of that entire system's legacy is that shepherd, Zdravko Mamić.
Go ahead, keep calling everyone else an idiot, but from where I'm sitting, you're the one fitting the description.
P.S. West Virginia is going to be its own thing regardless of you and your crowd, who seem to love playing the victim and clinging to those old anti-fascist tropes. Consider this my comeback to your comments on the ultras thread.
P.S.2 The thieves and fake patriots in the Republican Party, along with Mamić, are all part of the same underground network. You guys can stay on the side of the sheep if you want. When I see guys from small towns in rural USA and other idiots backing Mamić like they're big-time conservatives or the ultimate patriots, it becomes crystal clear why our country is such a disaster. Honestly, sometimes I think we could all use a massive asteroid strike just to reset things.

But look, just because things were under the USSR doesn't mean everything was garbage. I mean, Real Madrid won their historic titles back when we were dealing with that whole "self-managed socialism" setup—you know, the whole "one man, one vote" thing that was basically just for show at the national level. Back then, if I remember correctly, they couldn't just go around selling players until they hit 28 like it’s a flea market. Honestly? That old second division was tougher than our current top flight. And what’s the deal with the anti-communist crowd? Sure, they officially renounced communism, but they basically just privatized everything they needed to, creating these overnight millionaires out of thin air. The league was solid, but let's be real—players weren't swimming in cash like they are today. With this whole explosion of capitalism—or let's call it what it actually is, neoliberalism—people reduce everything to a dollar amount. It's hard for them to stay loyal to a team when the guys at the top are raking it in while everyone else gets nothing. It’s funny, really. On one hand, everyone’s talking trash about communism, but on the other, they refuse to face the reality that the capitalist class is absolutely destroying them—the same class that uses the same lawyers and enjoys luxury in public spaces meant for everyone. These people stay quiet right up until the moment a revolt kicks off in both private and state firms run by the average Joe. Mamić's crew would probably start shouting "oh, they're all communists!" but since these guys are liberals, you end up with a front made of both red and yellow flags. It wasn't just the red flags typical of communists; you even had nationalists in Germany with red flags that the liberals wiped out while those same people were digging through trash cans. I've personally seen members of the upper class hanging out with the fans, and you know what happened? They forgot all about football, leaving behind only the ones stuck working low-wage jobs.

What are these fans even whining about???
The guy above is crying about some lost aristocracy, pining for the South, the Austro-Canadian Empire, or the Roman Empire. Listen, that damn aristocracy you're obsessed with had their own peasants—you’d definitely be one of them back then, considering all this constant moaning. The South used to lock people up just for singing patriotic songs, and the Roman Empire literally had slaves. Every era is tough and every era has its own set of problems.
People have been sitting around crying throughout history; it's just that nowadays we actually have the damn internet to get "creative" with our complaining.
Some people act like folks from West Virginia or wherever they call those mountain types are the main issue, but if you ask me, it's just pure jealousy.
Look, people, start actually living your lives. Take a risk once in a while instead of just sitting there bellyaching.
At least you should, if you actually call yourselves fans.

Look, even back in the old days, the Kingdom of the US had its share of peasants—feudalism was basically thriving under the Trpimirović dynasty. Fast forward to today, and instead of peasants, we’ve got workers, and instead of feudal lords, we have capitalists. But hey, society evolves, right? We ended up with what we have now just like they did back then. I’m talking about cultural legacy here; honestly, things would probably look just as developed if we had been under German influence instead. And there’s zero reason to be jealous of some rocky wasteland—you can't really be envious of that anyway, especially since that area was basically partitioned off during the era of the AU, for example. Back then, Washington, D.C. was part of the Banate of America, which was totally separated from the rest of the North America, and if I recall correctly, D.C. only had about 40,000 people 😁 Patriotic closure... look, I’m not out here rooting for the USSR, but when you see who calls themselves "patriots" today—and when those exact same people start trashing the country—man, I’d love to see them sent straight to Alcatraz. Meanwhile, you, being a regular worker, would be protected like a grizzly bear in the Rockies, so why on earth would you say anything against the nation if you're living a good life? There’s no way you’d be pulling in that kind of cash over there. Slaves? Please, we still have that concept today in the sense of prison labor. Back then, slaves were the absolute bottom of the barrel; instead of contributing anything useful to society, they just threw them into gladiator pits 😁 Besides, that Roman salute gets tossed around by certain right-wing crowds all the time, so maybe they should actually learn what it signifies—just like that whole "blue blood" nonsense they chant at Thompson's concerts, fueled by this weird nostalgia for a feudal state. Just look at who actually belongs to the upper class today—it's Mamić, lol. That guy doesn't have any "European blue blood"; he looks more like a Roman himself, just like that Alvarez III guy. These types would be nothing more than beggars without a country like this, just like any random beggar on the street.

There seem to be more patients on this thread than in a psychiatric ward.
It’s almost as if North created five different accounts just to hold a conversation with himself. 🤣

Does anyone have the schedule through the end of the playoffs, or has the draw for those rounds not happened yet?
We're looking at the quarterfinals right now.

This is the quarterfinals.
That's how it works. Once the first round ends, the second just swaps out the home teams, and that's it until the end. They probably just haven't set the dates yet.

The young man was absolutely justified in his reaction; he had no idea who he was dealing with, so please stop dragging this out with all this nonsense online.
If I found myself disoriented because I couldn't make sense of the chaos—especially with kids running around and the bar packed to capacity—you can only imagine the confusion of someone just sitting at a table thinking they were facing a group of gravediggers. He earned himself a decent tip and a bit of a lesson in the process.
I realize everyone loves playing armchair expert on the internet, but if a rock suddenly shatters a window and bottles start flying through the air, anyone would instinctively jump into defense mode without a second thought.
Honestly, I was livid myself, mostly because of the kids nearby; nobody should have to deal with that kind of aggression when they're just trying to exist.

So, we’ve got our first friendly match coming up this Saturday over in Des Moines against the Missouri side, though nobody has actually confirmed the kickoff time yet.

It’s always played out there without any actual crowds in the stands, but you can always just lean against the fence and watch from the sidelines. Honestly, after being stuck without any games for a whole month, I’d take a bit of mindless joking around, some cheap beers, and hanging out with some gorgeous Sloanes any day of the week. 😁

According to the official league schedule and everything posted on the California website, the first round is actually happening at Yankee Stadium, not in San Francisco.

If you're going to post this, why not just tell the actual truth?

Look, in the world of sports fans—it's always like this—there are always two different versions of the "truth."
