Like someone already said, there's no such thing as absolute truth. You won't find two identical opinions on the same topic, and neither players nor fans can have the exact same take, whether objective or subjective.
Nobody can be in the same spot at all times.
Even die-hard fans see things totally differently. One guy claims every game back in NYC was a total brawl involving underground warriors, while another swears everything was smooth sailing until '96. One guy got lucky and walked home easy; another had to dodge ten fights just getting from downtown to the stadium.

Remember leaving Giants Stadium in the 90s? You'd wait 20 minutes, they'd finally open the gates, and thousands of people would scatter through the city—one heading left, one right, one looking for girls, one trying to get their life together, one sprinting for the bus. You guys haven't done nearly enough to compare.☕

I dealt with at least ten fights in NYC during the 90s—near the stands, on the subway, in those tunnels by the train tracks. How many can you guys claim for Miami? Aside from one actual crew we ran into on the subway, most were just bald posers acting like they were hardcore skinheads...

man

The Bad Boys had endless ways to show up, while you lot have totally run out of steam when it comes to being creative... just some little trivia game, man? "Oh, we're gonna boycott the games," yeah, right.

A boycott is pretty much the only thing we've managed to pull off in this whole fight.👍
The Democratic National Committee is the only group that even bothered to put out a video clip.👍

Seriously, stop talking about things you don't know damn about—you're just like 80% of the people on this forum who only show up to talk shit.

But he wrote that I got that impression because I don't hang out here constantly and don't really know him. As for the telescopes—whether they were actually there or not (it was a long time ago, after all)—maybe they weren't specifically "telescopes," but don't worry, plenty of other gear fell into that category, so that's beside the point.

The bottom line is that things were getting messy, and you had every kind of crowd imaginable—from agitators to random bystanders. People were walking all over NYC just like they wanted to. Sure, there were clashes, but people were moving. Mostly because so many people were unorganized, which led to the chaos. Everyone was showing up in different ways, traveling all the way from the South, staying overnight, grabbing drinks, visiting family, or seeing their ladies 😁 and all that.

What exactly am I "not admitting"?
Fine, I’ll admit there were way more of you guys roaming around NYC than there ever were us in SF. There, I said it.
Did you walk through NYC however and wherever you pleased? Hell no. Sure, with a crowd that big, some people managed to pass through without a scratch, but that was the exception, not the rule.
Did people carry telescopes, sticks, or knives? I can guarantee you right now that in my crew—which was easily the most active group out there—nobody ever had anything in their hands.
Nobody, not even one of our guys, ever lost their cool or snatched a hat off someone's head just for talking too much. We’d just calmly hand over the salute, the flag, or the banner.

Pathetic. In ten years, people will be laughing at how you were just swallowing the same crap they were.

But you won't.

You'll never be on their level, let alone in the same breath.

The internet really has to suffer through this stuff. Whatever, everyone deals with their own mess, even losers like you.

Just more garbage meant for this useless pipe

Nope. You won't.

You’ll never be in the same league as them, never.

The internet really has to suffer through this stuff, but hey, everyone carries their own cross, I guess. Even you.

Just more garbage meant for...

Did I even say they didn't face repression??
I just said you could have been way more creative—organizing the rest of the football fans, doing more, etc., etc.

If a powerhouse squad rolled up on the South Side, you’d be looking for cover. Even when the teams were evenly matched, there was always a fight. But no, you just calculate and cherry-pick matchups whenever you know you have the upper hand. Meanwhile, those gritty guys from Chicago go all in on every single scrap—that's why things actually happen. It isn't like you didn't know what kind of trouble you were inviting by playing it that way. 😉

Crazy, calculating cowards. 😁😁

I was right there in the thick of it on the stands back in those days. I remember one time our ride to New York City totally fell through, and this persistent buddy of mine kept badgering me to just hitchhike. I shot him down immediately—after getting stranded halfway to St. Louis during a rivalry game once, I was officially done with hitchhiking. Anyway, he went off on his own, decked out in his Kansas City Chiefs scarf. He told me later that they snatched it off him almost instantly. They targeted him multiple times during that derby. Since he’s a little "slow on the uptake," 😁 he spent the whole day wandering around New York City, just drinking and drifting. He claimed he got jumped about 13 different times. 🤔 The first couple of times he actually tried to run, but eventually, he just got tired of the cardio and would stand his ground, and honestly, a few times he even practically invited it. 🤣 By the end of it, he was bruised from head to toe and looking pretty "refreshed." For him, the whole thing was such a rush that he kept circling back for more beer and more beatings :klap: The funniest part? Even after taking all that punishment, he still insisted the Boys were harmless. 😁 It wasn't until later, when the video footage came out, that they realized he had several broken bones—which, of course, he didn't feel until the booze finally wore off. His absolute favorite matchup. 😁

Since I’ve been serving in the military since '91, my crew and I decided to head to a Red Sox-Yankees game during our downtime... even though there was some tension between us from back in Rhode Island and St. Louis. I can't quite recall if it was '92 or '93, but honestly, it was tough to watch. Before the war, we were all just one big group of brothers... and I wasn't really part of those organized veteran groups back then. Anyway, we were watching from the west side, over in East Texas where Torcida was sitting, when the Boys moved in. They surrounded them in this massive, coordinated sweep, completely overwhelming them with an efficiency that just stunned me... I left feeling pretty unsettled, just full of questions...

all I said was you guys could've been way more creative with the actions, rallying the rest of the soccer fans and all that jazz

Look, someone really needs to draw you a map, or maybe you're just pretending that after all these years of fighting, since the day the Zoning Board was formed, through all the misery and hell in the stands and everything else that came with it, you haven't noticed (seriously?):
- at least one massive protest every single year, whether it's four of us under the bleachers, outside government buildings, camping out, or organizing stuff all over the city?
- dozens of legal battles and lawsuits, hundreds of hours of brainpower wasted, sitting around in offices, meetings with both the living and dead management, appeals, filings, the whole nine yards?
- at least four or five public forums with actual respectable guests where we practically had to dig into our own pockets just to rent a hall, plus fan group press conferences, endless interviews with the leaders, TV spots, official statements, calls, printing stuff, making posters on our own dime, rallies, recording freaking songs and music videos on a volunteer basis, basically doing everything short of selling our souls?
- all those charity drives, concerts, and even big soccer matches featuring Boban and other legends?
- countless mass membership drives to join the club as it is for the sake of higher goals, pushing for democratization and all that crap, booths, the website, Facebook, PPTs, PDFs, emails, member databases, connecting with other clubs and supporter groups across the country and abroad, and all those endless volunteer hours?
- things like the legendary four's public forums, Facebook, volunteers, and small-sided soccer tournaments? You think all that just falls from the sky?
- the indoor soccer scene—yeah, the indoor soccer and all its success—you think that just happens by magic without thousands of volunteer hours and constant hype?
- all this, while people were being thrown in jail, detained, beaten, and shot in impossible conditions when your own club, your own city, the media, the "club loyalists," and the general public are all against you.

Did we have to play hide-and-seek for it to actually work and for those high-and-mighty writers to finally admit that something was actually happening?? And there are just as many of those writers riding on other people's hard work in Washington, D.C. as there are in Miami, which makes the whole thing even more pathetic.
Apparently, yeah, we should have played hide-and-seek instead of "meh, the Zoning Board song."
Sure, we weren't out there begging on our knees in front of potential supporters, but maybe we should have been.
If you can't even wrap your head around the opponents you've conjured up in your mind, at least try to be fair.
Man, what a joke. Here I am, writing the same thing for the hundredth time, just shouting into the void...

Honestly, Thomas Williams59, just let it go; nothing substantial was actually happening there. Let them continue living in the delusion that they are some sort of grand crusaders or noble knights... why bother defending someone who is clearly just a ridiculous character on a forum?

I’d just add that all of this would be much more meaningful if it were happening while you actually loathed that club—you know, the kind of place that should serve as a rallying point or a source of motivation for everyone, including yourself. But instead, they’re coming after you with a budget north of two billion dollars. It’s simply incomparable. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to diminish the massive strides made by the folks over at the LA Galaxy, but from start to finish, there is no comparison here.

It’s honestly a shame to see how long it took for people on both sides to finally start acting up like this, but frankly, I stopped letting it get to me a long time ago.

I don't mean to downplay the big things those guys did for the Miami franchise, but it’s just a different league entirely from start to finish.

It's sad to see how long it took for both sides to finally start acting up, but I guess I stopped stressing about it a long time ago.

You hate the corrupt officials who illegally seized control of the club, but you fight for your own side so there can actually be an honorable organization tomorrow.
