Best portable hard drives?

Hey everyone.

I'm looking to pick up a portable HDD. I haven't messed around with electronics in a minute, so I've been out of the loop and have no clue what's actually good these days. Figured I'd come here for some advice.

I've got a few options lined up, so I need help picking one.
Mainly, I just want to transfer movies and watch them directly off the drive on my laptop. Sometimes being an over-the-road trucker gets pretty dull, so any movie helps kill the time 😁

I'm trying to keep costs down, but I definitely want a 1TB drive with the longest warranty possible.
This one caught my eye first. The price is great and it comes with a 3-year warranty.

When you step back and look at the big picture, it’s all basically the same stuff—just different packaging. Honestly, if I were you, I'd just grab this one for $137 since it comes with a 3-year warranty, and you're good to go. There isn't really much more to it than that, is there? 🙂

That’s what I figured. I’d take an extra year of warranty over some big-name brand any day of the week...

That’s true—but still, 36 months is quite a long stretch of time 🙂
