I'm looking to pick something up for about $200.

I’d love some input on what I should actually go for—any suggestions?

Thanks

What’s your budget looking like for ink over the next year? Or basically, how many pages are you planning to print?

I'm looking at a maximum of about 500 pages a month.

Maybe check out an HP Envy 5000 or even better, a Canon PIXMA series.

The HP DeskJer 1050 isn't bad if you're the type who's super meticulous and actually remembers to refill the ink cartridges on time. If you're lazy about that, just don't bother.

Honestly, those local subscription plans we have here are the best deal, but I know they aren't for everyone.

I’ve narrowed my choices down to two models, but I’m stuck on which one actually holds more water—what’s the real-world difference here?
The price gap between them is only about $33.

HP Canon PIXMA series mg3250

HP Canon PIXMA series mp495

Thanks

The only real gap is about $33 in price.

HP PIXMA series

HP PIXMA series

There isn't much of a difference.
But just a heads up—HP will absolutely bleed you dry when it comes to buying ink.

The HP will absolutely bleed you dry when it comes to ink costs.

You can find third-party ink cartridges for basically half the price.
Plus, they’re actually refillable if you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty.
