Grace Anderson3 said:The general advice is to wait until they hit 4 months before starting, and definitely no later than 7 months. Every Baby is different, so you just have to gauge when it looks like they're ready for more than just milk. Usually, it starts out as just a few spoonfuls a day. In our case, we decided it was time to introduce solids after a string of days and nights where the Baby seemed to be nursing every single hour like they just couldn't get full enough.
Is your niece already 6 months old? : )
Mine were exclusively on my milk and didn't wake up during the night (I guess they learned that in the NICU 🤦), so I wasn't in any rush to start solids; they started once they hit the 6-month mark.
She hasn't actually hit 6 yet, but she's quite big for her age.😍

She'll probably be walking very soon! : o
Way to go, little Baby, eating so well!😍
The guidelines suggest waiting until 6 months, but nothing bad happens if you start a week or two early.🙂
I wasn't in a hurry because they were sleeping well and always seemed full, so I figured they had their whole lives ahead of them to try different foods. I just took it easy.
My oldest also walked a bit late, but once he started, there was no stopping him!🤣

Mine struggled with his R right at the beginning—he seemed to get mixed up with his German and American accents 🤣—but he caught on quickly and doesn't have any issues now.🙂
