Hey there,
I was wondering if anyone here has actually tried those caffeine pills from GNC. Does anyone know if they cause any weird side effects? I’m not really much of an athlete or anything—mostly just looking for something to help me focus during long study sessions since I can't stand the taste of coffee.

I use these and it’s the exact same story regarding the ingredients. I end up cutting them in half because 200 mg hits me way too hard all at once. They work fine if you need them occasionally, but I wouldn't make this a daily habit. It makes you jittery; heart starts racing. Honestly, the prices for the same stuff on your site are even better:

If coffee isn't your thing, how about tea? It still has caffeine—not quite as much as a cup of coffee, but you definitely feel it, especially with something dark like Assam. Plus, you get other stimulants and antioxidants, particularly with green tea.

I’d probably take one of these every day right when I get home from college—that's when I'm most wiped out. As for tea, I hate it even more than coffee; the taste is just unbearable to me. I'm wondering though, is there any long-term impact on your body or anything like that?

Look, there are endless varieties of tea out there, but let's stay focused.

Slice one in half and just take that portion. That single half delivers about 100 mg of caffeine—roughly the same hit you'd get from two cups of black coffee. For someone who isn't a regular coffee drinker, that's a heavy dose. You might deal with heart palpitations, jitters, or general anxiety. Plus, if you try this on an empty stomach, expect some serious heartburn.

The smart play? Grab a snack after school, take half a pill, and lie down for 30 minutes. You'll wake up feeling significantly more alert. It’s called a "caffeine nap"—it’s a proven tactic, not some theory I cooked up.

As for long-term damage, there's no real evidence that caffeine causes lasting harm. In moderation, it actually works quite well.

Could wreck your stomach. Ulcers, heartburn... I took something similar once and now I've been dealing with chronic gastritis for years.☕

So, how many were you taking a day when that happened? I mean, did you overdose or did it just flare up out of nowhere? Personally, I wouldn't touch more than one pill a day...

To put it simply, I drink coffee, but never at home—not while my mom is watching. She’s constantly lecturing me about how coffee isn't healthy for a high schooler, and I can't exactly explain to her that I need it just to focus on my studies. I usually wait until after lunch, though, so I'm never doing it on an empty stomach. I'm not entirely sure, but I have a feeling the little granules inside would just spill everywhere if I tried to split them... so it's all or nothing for me. From what I've read, caffeine doesn't really have negative consequences since it's natural (I think).

Do you think I’m just talking out of my ass? Of course nothing is going to spill. We aren't dealing with loose pellets here; these are tablets, similar to Crest strips. They’re easy enough to split in half.
And no, it isn't "natural." It's manufactured by the chemical industry. It even says so right on the packaging—(synthetic).

My brother was using them, so he just tossed a bunch into one container, and some of them ended up shaped like that. My bad.
Anyway, I'm supposed to take just one tablet a day after lunch, right? And if I start feeling off or notice something's wrong, I should just stop taking them?

Could you please explain why it’s such an issue to just take half first? It’s not like you can't just grab the other half a few hours later if you're still hungry for more.

The rule is simple: stick to the bare minimum required. Don't go grabbing what you need plus a little extra just because you can.

The label says they last maybe 3 to 4 hours max, which honestly works perfectly for my schedule during the day. But hey, I guess I could try starting with a smaller dose and see how it goes.

Look, I’m sitting at about 175 pounds, and honestly, half a pill is more than enough for me. Why would anyone intentionally trigger tachycardia? You want your hands shaking like a leaf? A higher dose doesn't mean it lasts longer; it just means you get hit way harder. If your goal is actual longevity, you should be cutting that second half in two and waiting four hours before taking it.

I was on one a day for a long time. By the time you feel symptoms, the damage is done.
The other day I read in the news about some guy in the States taking green tea extract—supposedly "100% natural." His liver failed and now he’s waiting on a transplant.☕
If caffeine in coffee isn't great, concentrated stuff in capsules is even worse.
The hand tremors are the least of your worries. You've got high blood pressure, anxiety, heart palpitations to deal with too.
I get needing it to study, but really, think about it. Is school worth your health?
I don't believe you're struggling enough in class to need caffeine just to keep up.
Try Maca capsules for focus, or maybe some B-complex from Nature Made.
Don't play games with your body. I wish someone had warned me what I know now.😉
