I just got this error message: Method Not Implemented

It says POSTing to /private.php isn't supported.

I’m feeling the exact same way...
I honestly think this is beyond ridiculous. It isn't just my opinion—most people on this board are completely fed up with these incompetent, irresponsible individuals who can't even manage a basic website without tripping over their own feet...
Everything is constantly breaking or malfunctioning... but then again, I guess that's just the standard level of chaos we deal with here in America...

My profile looks perfectly fine on my end, but I can't seem to send anyone a direct message. It keeps throwing a server error instead of a standard forum error...

Your profiles look fine to me, too. Is the PayPal issue still hanging around, or did it just fix itself somehow?

PS: That error message feels more like a server hiccup than an actual profile glitch, honestly.

So, I gave PP a shot today and it actually works. Now the real question is: did it just start working on its own, or did someone actually put in the effort to fix it?

Every time I try to check a message before hitting send, I just get hit with some "bad request" error. It’s been happening three days in a row now...
Why is this even happening?

P.S. That error message really points toward a server-side glitch rather than an actual profile bug, in my opinion.

I honestly can't remember who I was trying to DM, so I have no way of knowing if the fix actually went through or not.😁

The POST to /private.php isn't supported.

Anyone know how to fix this? 🥳

I'm having a bit of trouble sending this message because her inbox is completely maxed out, and I get the feeling she probably hasn't even realized it yet!
Is there any way you guys could give her a little heads-up about it, or am I just stuck waiting until she figures it out on her own?
Thanks in advance!

Look, just wait until she figures it out on her own. Or, if you’re hanging out in one of those specific chat threads, you could always drop her a line there in a post. Just please, don't go posting it in other subforums—keep it to the chat. If you're worried about everyone realizing you're calling her out specifically, just don't use her name. Instead, maybe just make a vague comment about how "someone" really needs to clear out their inbox. Most people will instinctively check their messages even if they know their inbox isn't actually full. 😁

If it's not a dedicated chat thread, your best bet is to reach out to one of the moderators for that subforum. Ask them if you can slip that one little sentence into a constructive post; honestly, I'd imagine they wouldn't see any issue with it if it's handled that way.

Most people tend to check their messages instinctively anyway, even if they know their inbox isn't actually full. 😁

If it's not a chat thread, I suppose you could always ask one of the moderators for this sub if it's okay to slip that one little sentence into a constructive post, which I imagine shouldn't really be an issue.

I’ve actually seen people do that already, where they point out to someone that they can't send them a PM.
The thing is, I know she doesn't really have the time to jump into threads right now; she basically just logs in to see if there's a message and then signs off, and I'm guessing she hasn't quite realized what the issue is.
It’s funny how many people end up getting snapped at because someone won't reply to them more than once.
So, I guess I'm basically just leaving it up to luck to see if she notices or not!

I'm not entirely sure what would happen if she tried to send a PM herself—like, whether she'd actually be able to do it or if she'd just get hit with a notification saying her inbox is full.

Thanks a bunch!

If her inbox is totally maxed out and you try to shoot her a private message, she’ll still get an automated notification sent straight to her email letting her know someone tried to reach out. It'll basically tell her she can't accept any more messages until she clears some space. Even if she doesn't catch on while she's browsing the forum, she'll definitely realize what's going on once she checks her inbox. 😁
