Casey Palmer5 said:I don't know anything about Gruden, other than he's homophobic and prone to making incredibly stupid comments. Personally, I'm not a fan, but it's true that he brought this methodology to America.
Perhaps shadowfalcon33 could provide some actual arguments to back up those claims?

The link isn't stupid at all. It’s actually pretty solid.

The link is fine, just like any other one out there, but I honestly don't see how it has anything to do with those ridiculous Gruden ideas of his. It makes zero sense to me.
Maybe shadowfalcon33 can step in and explain things a bit—you know, prove that Gruden doesn't actually have a clue and is basically just coasting while everyone else works. Let him try to dig himself out of this mess himself for once!
And seriously, nobody has even told me the name of that guy from Hurricane Ridge yet. See? This is exactly what I mean about you people!

You’d really love to indulge, wouldn't you? But nobody is going to 😁?

The real issue 😂

I’ve been giving it my all, honey, I really have! But honestly? It’s just not happening.
Trying to muscle through it with pure aggression? Yeah, that’s just not gonna work. It’s like trying to force a jammed key into a lock—you’re just gonna snap the tip off and end up stuck. You can't bully your way into progress!
I tried pumping up the activity level, but honestly? It’s just not biting. Nothing! Zero movement. It's like trying to jumpstart a car with a dead battery—you can turn the key all you want, but you aren't going anywhere. Just a total dud.
Tried sleeping it off, but honestly? It just didn't work. No luck there!
I tried using cane sugar, but honestly? It’s just not happening. Total dud.
Honestly, green tea just isn't doing it for me. It’s like trying to fuel a Ferrari with tap water—it's just not hitting the mark!
Everything is just hitting a wall right now! It’s like I’m trying to run through waist-deep mud. Just one thing after another!
I am telling you, my ab workouts are absolutely hitting a wall! It’s like I’m doing everything by the book, putting in the sweat, but those abs just refuse to show up. It's honestly frustrating! It feels like I'm running on a treadmill that's stuck in place—lots of effort, zero distance gained. I've been grinding away at them, but nothing is budging. Anyone else feeling like they're fighting a losing battle with their core?
Decided to skip spraying the apples... yeah, that didn't exactly go according to plan!
He let his hair grow out, shaved it down to a single digit—it’s just not working!
I tried mixing some soju into the feed for the non-laying hens, but let me tell you—it’s a total bust! It just doesn't work.
I swapped out the tires on my Honda Civic for some Montic ones, and honestly? It’s feeling a little better, but let's be real—it's still pretty sluggish. Not exactly a total game changer!
There was a time when grabbing a pack of red Marlboros was just a given. It wasn't even a question! You’d walk up to the counter, ask for them, and that was that. No fuss, no drama. Everything was just easy like that.
I tried running a presentation on my old Walter 100s here in the States, and man, it just won't budge! It’s totally stuck.
Man, I’m telling you... I can feel that heavy cloud rolling in. I'm starting to slide toward that dark hole, and I swear I promised myself—never again! No more feeling down, no more gloom, and absolutely zero melancholy from here on out. Not on my watch!
So I was checking out some old DivX files today... man, watching those old clips just hits different. It’s got me thinking about Monica, Monica, Monica... but let me tell you, that ain't exactly like playing a harmonica, haha!
I’m honestly not even going to waste my energy being angry... I'll just keep that all to myself. But seriously, if anyone else decides to write another post attacking Gruden, I am absolutely nuking this entire server. No questions asked!🙂

Maybe shadowfalcon33 could clear things up a bit, since apparently Gruden doesn't have a clue and is just coasting along, so they can defend themselves from all this mess...
And besides, nobody has even told me what that guy's name was from Hurricane Ridge, so you can see how helpful everyone is being here...

Forget about Hurricane Ridge... 😁

The guy's name is Heathcliff...

I am still of the opinion that this is simply a relaxation technique and poses no inherent danger, provided one isn't experiencing psychosis or similar issues (which, as far as I am aware, 😁 is not).

I have come across various descriptions of it in several texts and concluded that it is hardly some mystical ritual requiring special initiation; rather, it is a medically validated method for relaxation.

As for progressive muscle relaxation? I have read about that as well... the process involves tensing specific muscle groups and then releasing them, repeating the cycle until you have worked through the entire body.

And what about progressive muscle relaxation? I read about that in books too... where you tense up specific muscle groups and then release them, working your way through the whole body...

I actually used progressive muscle relaxation as part of my own therapy once...\\

When you pair it with proper breathing, it really helps dial down that feeling of anxiety—it definitely worked for me...

Well, that sounds exactly like what I need right now. 👍

I suppose I'll give it a shot... though I might need to hire a coach to guide me until I get the hang of it, unless I resort to filming myself to check my form.

I might give it a shot... though I think I'll need someone to walk me through it until I get the hang of things, unless I just record myself

When I first started, my therapist actually guided me through it and then gave me a recording of his own voice so I could just practice at home on my own...

Hey, electricdriver78! Seriously, talking about Heathcliff... man, where was that law in that one book? Ugh, my brain!
I’d love to get my hands on a VHS tape or some old cassette featuring a single psychiatrist... but honestly, I don't think she buys the idea that you can actually dive into your own subconscious on your own. She’s all about following some trendy, modern therapist type... ugh. Man, what I wouldn't give if I were a woman! But hey, what would I even trade? I've got nothing. I was born a total softie, never really had that "business mogul" drive in me, and I'll probably never land a gorgeous wife... boo!
I'm gonna end up alone... boo!
I'll probably wind up at a chiropractor's office, but just lying there in the dark...
And then I'll just die from the flu... boo!
My favorite sports team is never going to win a championship... booooo!

Look, I get that this forum is supposed to be an open floor for everyone's opinions, but honestly, some of these posts are making me want to go after the mods just for letting them stay up... especially when they’re completely nonsensical, totally undermine the actual discussion, or are just plain idiotic...

Am I the only one feeling this way?

You are definitely not alone here
I've totally got your back! There has to be some kind of standard around here, right? It shouldn't be a free-for-all where anyone can just jump onto the forum, say whatever nonsense they want, swear, throw insults, and tear people down
Some folks really need to step up their game and work on their manners, their attitude, and just how they talk to others online
She was brave enough to actually speak up when everyone else stayed quiet, so let's show her we're standing with her!

I asked my psychiatrist if I could practice autogenic training on my own, and he gave me the green light 😎

So get this—my psychiatrist actually told me that AT isn't really a thing people use, and she claimed she’s never even met anyone who successfully cured an atom neurosis with it! She basically said it’s just some tool for managers to use, which, hello, I am definitely not a manager... I won't drop names because she’s honestly a wonderful person, but what she said really threw me for a loop. Not that I’m easily shaken, though! I’m sticking with my AT, but I did decide to stop seeing her. It’s such a total paradox, too, because she was the one who suggested meditation in the first place! So, you tell me—what do you think? Be smart here. Anyway, Alex Foster6, keep me posted on how things are going with your AT if you feel like typing. Good luck and big hugs!🙂

Man, I’m struggling because I keep nodding off while practicing my AT in the afternoon. I don't know what it is! I usually practice on this thick foam pad, and honestly, maybe that's part of the problem? But seriously, I can't afford to fall asleep—I really don't want to—but it just hits me out of nowhere. Then, of course, I feel like total garbage afterward, which sucks.
Hmm... and even after doing AT for a full year now, I still find myself dodging those heart exercises. Hmm, hmm, hmm.
I wonder what people who do AT actually use? Right now, I’m just practicing on my bed right before sleep. Maybe I should grab a thinner foam pad, or maybe some grip tape, or even a bed with studs? Or hey, maybe just some sandpaper?))

Alex Foster6, how’s everything going...

I just finally decided to jump in... and actually get active, that is...
I think I might be talking about the same doctor that everyone keeps mentioning... she's actually the one I saw myself. I honestly have nothing but wonderful things to say about her... though, if I'm being totally honest, there were moments where I felt like the whole thing was becoming a bit too much about the money...

Anyway, I don't really see why there needs to be so much secrecy about this... if my memory serves me right, I already paid for the course... $467I actually had some free time, so I went along with a friend—more to offer them some support, really, though that introductory session did pique my interest. I don't practice regularly, but I feel like it could be a real lifesaver during a crisis down the road. Hopefully, I won't ever actually need it... but if things ever got rough, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to invest that money again...

I feel like there’s just a bit too much mystification surrounding this whole thing. At the end of the day, AT is a legitimate, medically recognized method. I honestly don't see how working based on a book could do any real harm, provided the content is actually solid... I haven't read Gruden's work myself...

Just one more thing... I honestly don't get why people feel it's okay to just tear someone like Gruden to pieces on this forum—not that I’m defending him or anything, since I haven't actually worked with him... but at the same time, nobody seems to be giving the doctor any credit. I mean, we should probably be mentioning her by name, right? It feels a bit unbalanced...

Could someone please send me a DM with the phone number for the doctor (was it Dr. Škrapina?) who runs those AT&T training courses? Thanks in advance.
