Hey everyone!

Has anyone here actually gone out and bought a dog trailer? I’ve been scouring local bike shops, but it feels like nobody carries them. It’s like they’re impossible to track down.

Has anyone had any luck ordering one from overseas?

I'd love to hear any experiences you might have. 😉

Check this out—maybe something along these lines would work:http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=bike+trailer+dog

Do you think they might have child trailers available for order?
What’s the actual difference there?

Is this happening over in Canada?

Dangerous. You've got to account for rollover risks and rear-end collisions. Honestly, all that could happen while the kid is just sitting in a car seat. Still, for long road trips, having a trailer to toss gear into would be nice.

Look, I wasn't actually planning on buying it myself—I just wanted casualgardener13 to take a look at it and maybe grab some gear for the kids.
Maybe there's a better deal out there somewhere.

Anyway, I definitely agree that it gets pretty stressful unless you're off the main roads or sticking to the bike paths.
As for hauling stuff... I'm not so sure. More space just means more things to lug around.

I mean, I actually thought of that too, since they look pretty much the same. Honestly, whenever I ask around, nobody seems to have a straight answer for me... 🤷

But yeah, that's the goal—I want to pick one up so I can take my dog on those long-haul trips. Back before I had him, just wearing shorts was plenty, but I can't exactly expect to trek across Europe with him trailing behind without some kind of trailer.

Thanks for all the input, everyone. I'll try reaching out to some folks in Austria next.

I remember they used to carry those strollers on the subway that actually had a decent way to fold them up from the front... I'm not entirely sure if they still stock them, though, so we probably need to give them a call and double-check.
I also know they have pet crates and carriers there; it’s not quite a trailer, but it might do the trick. 😉

The price was roughly around $267, but I can't seem to track down a photo of the 😉crate itself.

Honestly, if it works for kids, why wouldn't it work for a dog? It’s a great little trailer idea.🤷
The only thing is you'd probably want to pad out the leg rest area with some foam or Styrofoam just to give the animal more room to stretch out so the pup can actually get comfortable while traveling.😁

Whatever you end up finding, just make sure you check if it’s actually built right—look for those official safety stamps or any standard EU certifications.

Now, this isn't exactly budget-friendly, but the build quality is seriously solid.
It won't tip over on you, and it even has a shock absorber specifically designed for mountain biking.
The only thing is, it might be a bit too narrow if your dog prefers napping on its side.
(It's a total product of our globalized world—designed by a guy in France, living in Bavaria, with frames coming out of Taiwan)

Hey, if anyone’s looking for a bike trailer, hit me up...
shoot me a DM or whatever, yeah?

I haven't even snapped any photos yet, but I can get on that in the next couple days. I'll probably end up listing it somewhere eventually anyway...😉
