Pixar is at $42, and the robot ok (where is it located?) is $36. A hotel in Washington, D.C. (the last bastion of old-school grit) is running about $33. Now we’ve suddenly got Kool thrown into the mix at $36. Does anyone actually have experience with Kool? Word on the street is the food quality has gone downhill...

No offense intended toward anyone, but regarding Fabula—as great as it might look on paper—whenever I recall that neon-fluorescent pea I had in France... good grief... I honestly don't know if anything has changed in the last ten months, but back then, the meal was well below what you'd expect for the price tag. So...🤷! It's not that I'm the type of person who needs everything to be flawless, nor is food usually the deciding factor for me, but they didn't even manage to serve a decent sequence of courses! Oh, and let's not forget—there was a grasshopper in my salad😕. What can I even say? The potatoes were leftovers from yesterday, sitting next to the roasted meat, smelling off, hard, and cold... I'd better stop listing things!

As for The Beatles, I haven't been there in ages, but personally, both the food and the service were perfectly fine! 👍

Now that I read this post back, I sound absolutely rude😍

Man, tell me about it... the lamb was practically jumping off the plate when it hit the table, and then the grasshopper in the salad joined in to sing: "Tonight's the Night" 🙂

Tonight's the Night! Oh my god, let's goooooooo!
My apologies! I realize it might be a bit harsh to hear such negative feedback regarding the venue you picked, but perhaps this perspective could actually serve as a helpful heads-up for anyone else still weighing their options! ☕

It’s fine. Honestly, criticism doesn't bother me, especially when it's this over the top and totally unrealistic. I was actually at the wedding myself, and I heard plenty of compliments. Look, I heard some complaints too, but nothing nearly as biased as this. I’d be posting this even if it wasn't my venue.

Trust me, people will find something to moan about with any restaurant. But saying they roasted 50 pounds of potatoes the day before the big night? That just gave me a good laugh! 😂

I’ve been looking through all the venues listed for these celebrations, but I don't see any mentions of those charming spots near Malibu. Honestly, though, the venue I found is fantastic—it can easily host up to 180 people. The seaside atmosphere is incredible, the service is top-notch, and the food? Absolutely delicious. Plus, they’re super flexible if you need to negotiate any details. It comes out to about $34 per person including drinks, and they have plenty of parking, so you won't be circling the block forever. I actually attended an event there as a guest once, and I was beyond impressed. If you're thinking about booking, just give them a call at 555-0199 first. It is definitely worth the trip!

I totally agree with you—it looks like they didn't pick the right one, because I actually got married at that restaurant in Poughkeepsie! The venue was absolutely stunning, and honestly, both the service and the food were top-notch. After the wedding ceremony, the owners were sweet enough to give us a honeymoon suite, and they even went out of their way to help us find some affordable lodging nearby for our guests who didn't want to deal with the drive.

I guess I'm looking for some band recommendations—you know, actual instruments, not just electronic beats—that can also pull off some good old-school blues.

Let's keep this moving.

Does anyone have recommendations or contact info for an accordion player or a vocal group to perform before the reception?

Can anyone recommend a really solid makeup artist?🙏...I'm acting as the maid of honor for this wedding, so I promised my friend I'd handle the beauty situation since she’s got a million other things on her plate before the big day🤷...When I was at my wedding, I went with Taylor Swift...and honestly, I wasn't exactly blown away☕...She did our makeup both before and after the ceremony, so everything felt super rushed...The makeup itself was high quality, don't get me wrong...but personally, I think she could have done a much better job for $100🤷

Oh, please... don't even listen to them. Honestly, there’s always going to be someone with something to complain about—it’s like a national pastime at this point! People just love to find fault, don't they? I mean, people were actually trying to scare me away from Coachella too... telling me all these horror stories, and I'll admit, I was feeling a little skeptical myself... but in the end? Everything turned out absolutely amazing.👍Honestly, people were just so happy... the food was incredible, the service was top-notch, everything was just... spot on. Of course, you always get those one or two people who just exist solely to find something to complain about—I mean, seriously, out of 180 guests, only two people had a problem saying the lamb wasn't quite right... honestly, some people just live to nitpick...🤷...and then there were those other guys who just absolutely demolished the lamb...🤷...well, you better be smart about it now...🙄

If I recall correctly, they utilize both male and female vocals...

And I think I’ve heard something about a group called Orange... or was it something else? It escapes me...

Orange is actually a band from Siboney. They’re great, but honestly, you probably need to book them way in advance🤷

My favorite one of theirs is the one with the saxophone

(New to this thread, don't ask why😬)

You should check out Iva at 0915253484; she’s fantastic and probably even more affordable than $100!👍

Well, there is also the group Calypso based out of San Diego—they are actually scheduled to play at a wedding I am attending...
