Hey everyone!
Another bride-to-be in the making here 🙂
I need some help—does anyone know a good venue that can hold about 220 people somewhere between Miami and Santa Monica? I’ve already looked into Dell, Spotify, Lockheed Martin, and Phoenix Technologies, but I’m coming up empty for anything further south 🤷
Photographer recommendations are also more than welcome 🙂 Thanks!

Guys, I need some help—please send me numbers for someone solid who won't charge an arm and a leg... I'm starting to lose my mind here... My deadline is September 18th and I still haven't found anyone. Thanks..

Is this a decent lineup for backing or just playing for laughs? Might as well call Dice or some local jazz combo...

I managed to pull together two pages filled with info on photographers, venues, bands, and the like... hopefully this helps take some of the weight off your shoulders!👍

Hey, can anyone tell me about Boeing? I haven't listened to them much, but the girl we booked the hall from says they're amazing.

I actually work at a Dance Studio and we help out couples with their routines all the time, so if you need some pointers, we've got you covered... I'll shoot you a DM with our info.

Does anyone have a clue what the going rate is to hire a vocal ensemble—doesn't even need to be the full group—or maybe just a guitarist or someone on mandolin? Basically, I’m looking for some light background music to play right before the ceremony starts at the church while the guests are settling in. I'm talking short, easygoing tunes to set the mood while everyone arrives. This definitely isn't for a house party!!!

I heard Cambi charges about $200 per member, but that’s for a full performance in a venue...

I already put down a deposit on them 😁...they seem great to me. I checked out some videos on their website, and I even asked them to send over a DVD from some weddings they played. A friend of mine caught them at a wedding once and said they were awesome too...🙂

My group does exactly that kind of thing. Shoot me a DM if you're interested.

I've heard they're excellent too, so I might look into them. If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge you?

They've got two different band setups available. (I think we'll go with the second one...)
3 pieces (keys, acoustic guitar, and vocals) - $850
4 pieces (keys, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and vocals) – $1,100
p.s. Deposit is $100

Does anyone have recommendations for getting invitations made? I'm looking for a good graphic design studio, a high-end print shop, or something similar... Thanks so much! Also—does anyone happen to know where I can pick up some quality cardstock for invitations here in San Francisco (just in case I decide to DIY the whole thing myself)??

I ended up doing mine myself, and I picked up all the supplies from this one specialty shop out in the suburbs, though I honestly can't recall the name off the top of my head😕,(it’s right next to that boutique tailor shop near the old mill). You could also check out a supplier over by the Mediterranean Sea area or hit up the Radin printing house. Honestly, don't waste your breath scouring basic office supply stores or corner shops; I went through that exact same headache before I stumbled upon these specific companies. Most of them primarily deal in wholesale, but you can usually snag a small amount at retail prices if you ask nicely. Hope that helps...😉

If you're looking for affordable invitation printing and thank-you cards, check out the copy shop over at the local Staples Downtown Chicago. It's actually pretty decent.
